I don’t really know how to properly put into words just how incredible DJ Fernando and his crew made our wedding, but I will start with this: the entire dancefloor was packed wall to wall BEFORE the first course was even served.
From start to finish, Blanc Noir seriously made our entire wedding day incredible. Starting with the ceremony, which was perfectly orchestrated and set an incredible, beautiful ambience. Cocktail hour and reception were even better — honestly the dance floor was packed almost every minute of the night. We literally had to force ourselves to sit down and eat.
Our guests are STILL raving about the wedding and many have said hands down the best DJ set they’ve ever heard at a wedding or any other event. Everything was expertly tailored to fit our style and keep our guests on the floor.
Beyond all this, as a same sex couple, it was very meaningful to us that Fernando and team treated us like any other couple and truly made our day feel nothing short of magical. That’s the word I was looking at the beginning of this review :)

Fernando and its assistants were awesome on our wedding day. The wireless uplighting was gorgeous and constantly changed color in time with the music. The music was great and kept people on the dance floor. And a short time after the wedding, Fernando surprised us with a CD of pictures that his assistant took during the reception! By the time his assistant starting taking pictures, our photographers had already left, so we were thrilled to have additional coverage of the reception and some great candids.
So glad we booked with Blanc Noir!

We initially chose BNEG because I’m Cuban and my husband is Italian so we needed someone who understood the latin and American music mix we were looking for. Christian, Fernando and the rest of the team at Blanc Noir are such professionals and by-​far exceeded our expectations! The vibe during the reception was incredible. Everyone was on the dance floor, the mix of music was great, the photobooth was AWESOME, the percussionist was outstanding. I don’t think I have enough adjectives to describe how spectacular they were. They went above and beyond their call of duty, thinking of things we didn’t. They were extremely attentive to detail and made the day a complete breeze for us. We’re so thankful we chose them as our entertainment and I’d recommend them to anyone! Not to mention, they dressed super snazzy for the occasion! We wish we could relive the day because we were so happy with the way it went, especially with the help of BNEG! We love you guys, thank you so much for everything!!!

This company was the right choice for my wedding, Christian was the man! Never a dull moment and everything was timed correctly!

BRIDES BEWARE! I hired Blanc Noir for my wedding on 10÷5÷14. I would Not recommend them for any event, especially one of the most special days, a wedding.
I was shocked with the way I was treated. Solely by Fernando.
We met weeks prior to my wedding to discuss final details. I asked Fernando directly how many people will be in their crew. I needed to give a head count to our venue. He told me 3 and there will be a videographer there videoing our event, so their dj’s could make a promo video.
I was a bit taken back, because I was NEVER asked if this was OK with me. (He stated it was in our contract-​photo to follow) I asked if they are willing to share the footage with us at no cost to us.
This was his response: «He will not be able to give you the footage at no cost, we are paying him extra for his time to shoot and edit a demo. If we deem that the footage is suitable for the client then we can offer you the footage at a market-​rate cost.»
Then he also changes the vendor count from 3 to 4.
So let me get this straight? I’am paying for your videographer, to shoot your company at MY event and you will not even share the footage as a courtesy?
This was my response to him: «If that is the case that they can not share the footage with me I prefer not to have any video at our event. I hope you can understand that this is our event that we are putting on. The demo for Randy has nothing to do with my event. I was open to the idea if they were willing to share the videos, if not, respectfully I will not have someone videoing our event.»
This is all happening 3 WEEKS before my wedding. A DJ that I paid close to $ 3000 to, making the stress insurmountable. It was a terrible experience that I wouldn’t wish upon any bride.
He responded with this:
«It will be 4.
«Under the contract terms that you signed we reserve the right to film our performances for marketing and advertising purposes. We will only be filming the intros and announcements and will forward you the edited video as a courtesy.»
It was too little too late. I did not want any footage taken. My now husband saw how upset I was and he handled communication moving forward.
There was someone with Blanc Noir at our wedding shooting photos and/​or video, I don’t know what he was doing because they NEVER even told me or introduced to him to us. He got in the way of OUR photographer. He is now in OUR wedding photos, ruining perfect shots. (Photos will be posted along with this review shortly) We had our venue ask him to politely leave because he interfered w/​the photographer we hired. They stated it was in the «contract» and that he could stay. To this day Blanc Noir has not ONCE contacted me to share the video/​photos that were taken or to APOLOGIZE. You ruined some of my priceless photos and never ONCE offered to send me the images/​footage?! My husband sent an email to Blanc Noir that if they wanted to use any of the images they must get our consent first. Since they were coming wether we wanted them there or not.
Shame on you Blanc Noir, as a company you should be embarrassed by actions and lack of professionalism and ethics.
I will give credit where credit is due. A medical emergency occurred during the event. They were helpful in calming the crowd/​getting the party going again.
Our MC Randy was great and did his best to make sure the party was great.
It’s is unfortunate the events leading up to our big day were filled with stress/​unease because of Fernando. Yes, the party was good and we did have a great time, but all of the aggravation/​deceitfulness ruined our experience with Blanc Noir.
We paid for a custom monogram emblem to be placed on the dance floor, it was not there. We sent an email asking for a refund. He said he forgot and was sorry and that it was thrown in and they can’t give a refund. We paid for it, they didn’t deliver. They do not stand by their contract.
We paid them for lighting/​up lighting. My husband emailed him to tell him our color choices, he responded back that we can only use one color. Which is not what they told me in our meetings prior to the wedding. We had enough of back-​and-​forth w/​him and we had our venue take care of the up lighting. Another financial loss on our part due to their ineptness.
We gave a list of songs to be played at our cocktail hour. Surprise surprise, the songs were not playing. We notified them that our playlist was not on, and they did eventually switch it over. Completely unorganized. My husband requested that the songs be played in a certain order, Fernando informed him that there would be an extra charge for that. Really? He said with the package we chose it could only be played on shuffle. Customers beware, paying close to $ 3000 gets you shuffle! I could’ve loaded my iPod myself and had it done properly.
When hiring vendors you place your trust in them that they will be professional, go above and beyond to make your event memorable and put the customers needs first. They do not.

On July 4^th, we had the Best. Day. Ever! Music is so powerful and we wanted that to be one of the most important parts of our wedding day. We knew, for sure, we were going to be very picky when choosing a DJ for our wedding. The one thing we both agreed on was to look away from all of those «hokey», predictable wedding DJ’s. When we reached out to Blanc Noir, we were contacted by Jimmy. My husband primarily communicated with him and always got a great vibe after speaking with him. Jimmy was (and still is!!) always super prompt with returning a phone call, text, or email and is a genuinely personable guy. Our first meeting with Jimmy surpassed our expectations. We met at Blanc Noir’s central office which had a super cool and inviting feel to it. You can tell just by looking around the office space that Blanc Noir Event Group prides themselves on current music trends and technology. We shared our story with Jimmy and got to know each other on a more personal level. My husband and I shared our music likes and dislikes and allowed Jimmy to get a feel for what we were looking for on our wedding day. We spent about 2 hours with him that night and walked away knowing that we had just spent valuable time with OUR wedding DJ. Over the next few months following the meeting, we kept lists of songs that we would want to hear during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. All of which were sent to Jimmy as per his request. I was so afraid of being a micromanager throughout this process. While planning my wedding and reading tons of wedding advice, I came across plenty of articles reminding brides to let the DJ do the work as it is their profession, blah, blah, blah. At our final meeting (a skype meeting) with Jimmy prior to the wedding, I apologized to him for fine tuning and tweeking so many aspects of our wedding entertainment. Jimmy replied by telling me that it is «our wedding and should be the way we wanted it». Such a great, honest response!
On our wedding day, Jimmy and his team executed everything perfectly. We heard every song we had hoped. With his seamless song mixes and transitions, no one wanted to leave the dance floor. He is a true master at his craft. And how about those old folks with the loud music? Not a single complaint. In fact, we had many people commenting that this was the best wedding they had been to because the music selection and volume were perfect! Jimmy and Blanc Noir provided exactly what we had wished for our wedding. Thank you Jimmy! You gave us a most memorable night for us to cherish always. A true professional who prides himself on making his clients top priority.

Simply stated, BNEG along with DJ Fernando S and his team were phenomenal. Their professionalism, command over the dance floor, and ability to cater to a multi-​cultural crowd was beyond impressive. The ambience, the music, the photo booth, the ability to communicate bi-​lingually, their attention to detail, and attentiveness to our needs made our night nothing short of spectacular. The dance floor was crowded all night and everyone had a blast. DJ Fernando S and BNEG are a class act. It’s been over 2 weeks since our wedding and we’re still talking about how awesome the music was and how much fun everyone had. So, if you’re looking for the best in the business and you want to have the reception of a lifetime STOP LOOKING RIGHT NOW, you’ve found them… BNEG is it!!!

I feel like a blanc noir event group groupie at this point because I seriously can’t say enough good things about these guys! We hired Fernando and his team for my parent’s 25^th anniversary party and they did an amazing job. He was always reachable, always updating me and seeing if I had questions or concerns and completely put me at ease that the day would be seamless. IT WAS! We had some last minute changes that he was more then happy to accommodate and it was just the perfect event. He played to the crowd and played awesome music, the sound quality was great! Since he did such an amazing job at the anniversary it was a no brainer that he would be our DJ for our engagement party last year. Again i was not worried because after having worked with him already I knew it would be nothing short of perfect. And I was right. All the introductions we perfect, his timing always impeccable and his set up was impressive. He played exactly what we wanted and our party was up and dancing the entire night. I recommend these guys to EVERYONE because I seriously can’t remember having DJ’s that are this much fun. BNEG knows what they’re doing and they do it quite well. 5 stars aren’t enough of these guys, they deserve many more.

Only 5 stars? I need at least 20 for Fernando. I don’t know how to thank Fernando enough for all the work and support he’s given us since we first sat down with him. He is the best at what he does and I need to host another big event just so I can hire him and BNEG all over again.
Fernando is sincere, honest and a downright fun and personal guy. From the moment we met him, we knew he would be the one. In the middle of the meeting, Fernando had walked over to his printer and I nodded my head at my now husband. We discussed more thoroughly in the car when I basically said, «Lets do it!» and he said «Ok!» Really didn’t take much convincing. We met with several DJ companies and Fernando was the only one that didn’t try to push a sale or make us feel pressured into booking NOW NOW NOW! He listened to what we liked, what we didn’t like and was so quick with returning our inquiries. Nothing was ever an issue and nothing was out of the question.
At the wedding, the dance floor was CONSTANTLY packed. We even had relatives who are «always so serious» dancing! I was floored! Fernando and BNEG is invaluable. I 1000% recommend his service to anyone that is hosting any event big or small.
«Thank you» just isn’t enough for making our day as perfect as it was!

I work for the wedding industry myself. With that said, I have the honor of working alongside BNEG professionally. Hands down, they know how to throw a great party. I have recommended them to my own friends & family members who are in need of a DJ. Here’s just a few things to highlight their awesomeness: They are down-​to-​earth, hardworking folks. They definitely know their music and believe they truly eat, sleep, rave and repeat. It is also possible that they jam in their sleep, too. And those sexy black suits & ties! OWWW, hello! Need I say more? Everyone likes to look at good looking people. If ever I got married, they’d be my DJ, but that’d be difficult because I’d love to have them at my wedding to party with me!

Blanc Noir’s Jimmy Connolly did a fantastic job at our wedding on Nov. 30, at the Lake Mohawk Country Club (great place for events, by the way).
All through the event our guests were asking «this Dj is awesome, where did you find him?» The crowd was dancing pretty much all night, even between dinner courses. I must admit that I am very picky about music, so I gave Jimmy a song list, but I asked him to feel free to pull songs of his own, at his discretion. He read the crowd perfectly and even used his Serato to mix some of my picks into his. He also did a great job as emcee. Blanc Noir also uses great gear (RCF speakers and subs, Rane mixers and Shure mics — I used to produced live music events, and I know that good gear really does make a difference).
At the end of any event it is the quality of the party that counts, not whether or not the steak was cooked to perfection. To sum this all up: if you want your wedding/​event to be remembered as a great party, HIRE THESE GUYS!

I’m glad to join the long line of satisfied clients who have worked with Blanc Noir Event Group (BNEG). Our wedding was such a phenomenal and memorable event, and BNEG takes plenty of credit for it. They’re extremely professional, courteous, and accommodating. Event: A Fall Wedding (Most Important Day of Our Lives!!)
Venue: Addison Park in NJ
Demographic: We’re Ecuadorian Americans raised in NJ for most our lives. BNEG caters to all groups but I feel it necessary to share our background for those with similar profiles reading this to take into consideration. We’re «Americanized» but still have strong Latino roots. Our wedding guests comprise 20-​somethings (who love hip hop, dance/​techno/​EDM, top 40s, etc.) AND an older generation more true to the Ecua roots (e.g. salsa, merengue, cumbia, bachata, etc.).
Overall: Tremendous success. Everyone at our wedding enjoyed themselves and loved their music. They made our lives so easy on a chaotic day, and every moment, traditional (wedding party intro, toasts, cutting the cake) and non-​traditional (family member randomly deciding to sing a song for us), seemed to happen organically.
Value: Unmatched. BNEG also added the additional perk of taking some candid high-​quality photos for us. We had a photographer, but it was great to just see some additional (and unexpected) photos — AND quickly uploaded to Facebook to share with friends and family.
BNEG (and Fernando) — sincere thanks for taking your craft so seriously. It’s very clear that you’re a talented group, but anyone can easily tell that you guys love what you do — building great memories AND moving bodies on the dance floor for those that cross your paths.

Christian and his assistant are the absolute definition of professionals. We hired Blanc Noir to DJ our wedding. They were absolutely amazing at reading the crowd and were able to do a fantastic job with the small bit of input we provided them.
Christian was so organized that I barely had to speak with him. He knew exactly how to run the show and didn’t need to waste my time with an excess of questions.
In addition to all this, the comments we were getting for guests all night was how great our DJ was. I can say with 100% certainty that I would recommend Christian and the Blanc Noir Event Group.

Fernando Serrano and his gang Dj’d my daughter’s Sweet16 and we couldn’t have been happier! They are amazingly organized and professional from the very first meeting to the close of the event. Their office space was perfect and showed off their talent for visual perfection. They had my daughter in the spotlight and the friends engaged. We used their Photobooth which was a hit. I can honestly give these men 5 stars for a business that is worth using!

I’ve been part of enough bridal parties (don’t ask) to know what I really enjoyed out of each wedding. In the last bridal party, I really loved the music, sounds, and lighting provided by Blanc Noir Event Group. They did an absolutely amazing job with my friend’s wedding! I’ve been in waaaay too many bridal parties and other weddings as a guest, where I can honestly say they were probably the best DJs I’ve heard at a wedding!
BNEG was extremely professional, attentive, and catered to the bride and groom’s needs and requests. They were very knowledgeable and worked with the bride and groom to customize the look and sound of their big day.
Not to mention, the party went on the whole night because of them! I don’t think I’ve ever danced as much as I did at that wedding. They played everything you can think of. The worst thing that can happen at a wedding is listening to boring lame music and not having fun on the dance floor. Believe me, I’ve seen it happen a couple of times. Whether you want to believe it or not, the MC and DJ can make or break your wedding reception. Not at this wedding: every one of all ages had a blast! BNEG also provides incredible lighting, which made the venue really stand out and made it into a fun atmosphere, not a dreary dark one.
So, if you’re looking to hire an MC and DJ for your wedding, I would definitely recommend BNEG!

Look no further… you have just Unilocaled the BEST wedding entertainers… for real! I absolutely LOVED the quality of work provided by Blanc Noir. As a bridesmaid for my best friend’s wedding, they truly made everyone feel like royalty. Everything was organized, customized to the bride and groom’s requests, and so much fun!
My BFFL worked specifically with Fernando, who is very knowledgeable and personable. He worked with them to customize the look and sound of their big day.
Fernando was extremely accommodating and attentive, professional and dressed to impress. His jokes flowed so naturally, it really felt like he was part of the family LOL He was such an energetic and charismatic MC & DJ-​had the party going all night! The variety of music was beyond fun, everyone was asking for copies of the playlist throughout the night. Coming from Portuguese descent, my BFFL requested he played a few Portuguese songs. Fernando actually went out of his way to download a few Portuguese tunes for the big day. When I say everyone had a blast, I mean EVERYONE, including the grannies!
Aside from the music, they also provided incredible lighting, plasma TVs and enthusiastic photographers capturing all the fun. AND photos were up only a couple days later on Facebook. We were all really impressed with the quality of sound and lighting, things that may often be overlooked. I’ve been to weddings where the venues are dark, yet with Blanc Noir’s lighting equipment, the light show and light balance is just perfect!
I highly recommend Fernando and his team for your party, especially your wedding day! Fernando has a very welcoming personality & goes above and beyond to make you feel special. He guided my friends through the whole wedding for a seamless transition through each part of the ceremony. I will definitely hire his team for my Wedding Day!

The best thing about BNEG is that they are extremely professional, accommodating, friendly, business savvy, and attentive. They are up-​to-​date on current trends and styles, willing to listen to the customer and really go out of their way to make your event a memorable experience.
