It’s a dive bar. That’s fine, I wasn’t expecting anything special. In fact, I used to come here about 10 years ago and have had some good times. What I did expect was a cold, carbonated beer. All the tap beers we ordered were flat, and I’d say«chilled»… not warm, but not cold. The music was blasting so loud we could hardly talk to each other, even though there were about 8 people in the bar. The bartender let us know when we walked in at 8:30 that she was closing at 9. I gave her a good tip, because I felt bad we were keeping her past close, but they still turned off all the music and flashed the lights to let us know to leave. Maybe I’m just too old to enjoy crap like this anymore.

Ah dingos… the place where I’ve lost so much of my dignity. Very divy, but very relaxing place. Goodies drinks, good wings. They have air hockey and pool on the premises. Parking can kinda be up in the air

Definitely a dive bar. But a great dive bar! All the bartenders are super nice. And cheap drinks. The décor looks like someone forgot to take down their Halloween decorations for the year. But, it works for them! Also has a pool table and an air hockey table in the back. A lot of seating as well.

It’s a dive bar. A real dive bar. The staff is friendly and regulars are fun. It has a interesting décor and even more interesting rest rooms. Good cheap drinks. They do not have much top shelf drinks.

We come here at least twice a week, we usually get really attentive bartenders. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and great. Music is good. Can’t really complain except we came here on a Thursday and got two drinks that tasted like water and no service whatsoever after those initial drinks. It took a long time to close our tab. No eye contact; the two bartenders serviced everyone else once, twice, and walked around us like we didn’t exist. They did, however, have time to check their phones after serving drinks to everyone but us. We came here for a relaxed time but left angry. Probably best to avoid ladies night Thursdays.

Arguably the best dive bar in North Jersey if not New Jersey itself! You can’t give a dive bar a five-star rating but this one comes close. Cut from a different cloth, Dingo’s is a true diamond in the rough among the high volume of generic«Jersey» bars. All you need is pair of ripped up Levi’s and a concert, rock or heavy metal t-shirt and you’re good to go! A nice dimly illuminated lounge area inside with a few couches, and a bar that actually serves PBR cans! Rock and Metal music play all night long. The crowd is different them most bars, but you’re sure to run into some very interesting people. Two beat up pool tables in the back, and a little outdoor area in the back where I hear they actually have a pig roast!

Went on a Monday, atmosphere was what I expected, quiet but really enjoyable. It’s a bar, dark. It was my first time there and was made to feel at home like a regular. The staff was awesome. Their Long Island ice tea was NICE. I had veggie dumplings, so good I had to get more. Place was spacious I would definitely go again.

This is a good dive bar. Sometimes I hang out at Dingo’s before going across the street to Dingbatz to see bands. I prefer relaxing on their couches instead of sitting at the bar. Some of the bartenders need to improve their attitudes.

Ive been here on slow nights and on busy nights and its always pretty awesome. The drinks are not pricy at all and theres plenty of space at the bar and some old ass couches to lay on. Ive never eaten here but people said the food is eh, its bar food what do you expect? The only thing that bugs me is the $ 20 min on cards. Sometimes a girl just wants one drink! Yeah they have ATMs but thats annoying. The atmosphere is pretty sweet too and random. Occationally you can find some old dudes lounging around in here.

How did my favorite rock bar turn in to an old man bar? I used to live at this place! They had cheap good drinks, good music, and good people. Now, it’s totally dead. Except for maybe the pop and rap music playing. They replaced the old school juke box, filled only with rock, punk, and metal, with one of those new, over-priced, fancy, touch-screen, jukeboxes where you can search for and play anything. The result? Pop and rap since the jukebox auto-plays popular hits when no one puts money in. The very few people you will find in here now-a-days are 50+ bikers and their drunken mess women. All good things must come to an end :(

uhh Dear management, whoever hired that sourfaced idiot that worked Tuesday night(around 11pm) please reconsider hiring someone that actually looks like they’re TRYING to do their job. Not being consumed by misery when us, the customers come in for drinks. into your very empty bar. I get that it’s a punk/grungy/horror theme, only for the locals, but you don’t have to be so standoffish. YOUARE A BARTENDER! you need tips, right? We like to tip since we’ve all worked as bartenders and waiters… we could, like have a symbiotic relationship here, we help you out, you help us out… it’s a slow night! I asked for a rum and seltzer, she poured me a seltzer and a splash of rum. It tasted like water, but before I could even ask for her to maybe add some more rum,(which with her miserable expression, I was afraid to) she was gone. Smoked cigs outside for about 20 minutes. When my boyfriend finally hunted her down, asked her for a stronger drink this time she claimed that she«overpoured» it the first time and pretended that it was the bottle pourer, spout thing that was jammed or something. Uhh. ok, nice save. The second drink was stronger. We were having a good time in the back, playing pool, then the music stopped. We went to try to put some songs on the jukebox… but it was locked? OH it’s locked because the bartender needed to watch her TV show. We chugged our drinks super fast and got the hell out of there, to go to another, ANY other bar. honestly… I just love paying money to a place that looks like they fucking want us out of there. the place seemed awesome enough, but that shit turned me off so badly, that I don’t think I’ll be going out of my way to come back to this place ever. Although, we would have gladly made this a regular bar… Things that didn’t suck: the first blonde bartender with big hair, she was super awesome and didn’t suck at making a two part cocktail. The dark/dingy décor, the pool table, the amount of space things that sucked: reddish haired sour faced girl(needs to work at DMV, the only place where her misery and rudeness will have an appropriate work environment)

Love this bar. Before I moved, my friends and I came here all the time. Grungy, divey rock bar, just the way I like it. Lots of horror memorabilia and random junk decorating the place. A lot of bikers hang out here. Old school jukebox. Pool tables in the back. Not sure if they still do, but they had great drink specials for ladies all the time. Either way, cheap drinks. I tried the food a few times but wasn’t really impressed.

The more I come here the more I like it. My bf plays music so we are across the street a lot but this is the place the musicians come to hang. My opinion has turned since I had the food here. The«famous» bar pie is really good! It comes out hot with the cheese falling off. I’ve also had the chicken fingers and french fries that are better than any other dive bar with food. I also like a place with a jukebox. Its casual and not snobby like a typical Jersey bar where people are real.

The wings with the special Dingo’s sauce was awesome. I enjoyed the music and atmosphere as well. I came here a few months ago but forgot to write a review. Haven’t had the chance to be back but hopefully soon.

If you are from Clifton or any surrounding towns, this is not a lay-low no running into people kind of place. Get ready to break out the yearbook, because you are going to be saying hi and trying to remember a lot of names. The bar has a very loyal local following and you feel like everyone knows your name even though you aren’t in an episode of Cheers. It’s a loud but, you must remember Dingo’s Den is Rock Bar for locals. The staff doesn’t mess around. You will get your drinks and your bar food on time. Not cheap but not expensive. It closes later than most bars in the area and that’s part of its local Badass charm. There is pool in the back and couches to plop on in the front. They have shot specials and lots of events. This is a very popular place. It is a definite Clifton staple and usually a good time if you want to run into +10% of your graduating high school class.

Went here on a Sunday night so I wasn’t expecting a big crowd. The décor was fantastic, gave off this really cool dark, rocker vibe. The drinks were pretty cheap and we sat on one of the couches next to the jukebox. Overall it was pretty quiet, but again this was on a Sunday. I only saw a few guys watching football at the bar. I’d definitely go again.

So, I walked into Dingo’s Den on my birthday with a friend on a Monday night. There were only a few seats remaining at the bar and the music was playing. A few shots, a few random conversations with friendly patrons/regulars, bar food to help soak up some Patron and my birthday was a good one. I walked out of there smiling and toasty on a chilly evening. Great thing about Dingo’s is that you can select your own music, have a seat at the bar or one of their comfy couches, and chill with a drink and not have your wallet choked just to do it. Bar pie & wings for only $ 8.00!!! And the décor is so punk/dark/edgy I just fell in love with it the first time I walked. From skulls to red velvet plush couches to horns hanging above the bar, how could you not??? Drinks are so moderately priced. The juke box is a bargain. $ 2.00 gets you 7 selections!!! I’m going back again this weekend and possibly for New Years Eve, as they open NYE at normal opening hours and then do NOT close until 3 a.m. Friday night/Saturday morning!
