Foxy Lady Salon

I love this place! My husband once told me that if I wanted my hair straight that I should go to a Dominican Salon. It was the only thing he was ever right about. :)
Foxy Lady is great. I have been going there for nearly 7 years.
I have built a relationship with all the staff. They know how I like my wash, which dryer to put me under, and not too hot with the blow dryer. They are my Saturday morning family.
The prices are reasonable and hair looks great. Suggestions are made if I need extra, like deep conditioning treatments.
Another reviewer commented that they are loud… they are Dominican. That’s a given. There will be music playing, there will be chatter.
They open on Sundays which is a plus if I miss my Saturday morning fix.
It is a walk-​in service but you don’t spend the day there as you do with some salons.

Worst salon experience ever. I went here to get a blowout before a wedding and, while the end result was good (which is why they get 2 stars instead of 1), the entire experience was terrible. The salon has NO ventilation, the workers barely speak English, and took way too long to get me in and out with a simple blowout. I have difficult hair, but good salons can get me in and out in 45 – 60 minutes. This took me 1 hour 30 min.
And the WORST part of the entire experience: the woman doing my hair made me get up mid blow out so she could do touch ups on her friend’s hair. She said it would take 2 minutes, it took almost 20. I told her multiple times I had a wedding and needed to leave and she STILL managed to take pictures of her friend’s hair before letting me back in the chair.
Don’t go here. The price is the same as an actual, professional and respectable salon yet the quality is crap.

Found this salon after having got a butchered haircut from another salon. They were able to salvage what was left of my hair. The final results were amazing and the price was very affordable. So happy I found this place.

It’s a good place to get a quick wash and roller set/​blow out. The ladies there are very professional and welcoming. The place is clean but not fancy/​fab décor. The price is right as well. I have a short bob (near my shoulder) and I pay $ 20.

I love this salon. This is one of two places in Clifton that I go to when I need to style my hair for a special occasion. I especially like the fact that I can get my hair done with any of the stylists there without a worry.
Special note: This is a Dominican Salon, it can get loud.
