This is a real interesting spot, a mix of Chinese and Peruvian, they have some great food. I had their roast chicken and chaufa, the rice was great and the chicken was delicious, tender, and even the white meat was moist and fell off the bone. I also had the yucca fries which were unbelievable. I would eat these over fries any day, they were crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and with just enough salt for me to keep wanting more. I will be back to try some more of this food.

Delicious wonton soup! All of the food was very fresh. Their gallina chaufa was excellent. The only downfall was pick up time was way longer than they had originally said.

The food is great. It can get really busy at times, so waiters/waitresses may not be as attentive but the food outweighs the service. My personal favorites are the chicken soup and rotisserie chicken(by far the best rotisserie chicken I’ve ever had). I’m a frequent goer and definitely recommend others to try it.

Okay so after trying a few other dishes, I have found that the best thing on the menu is their peruvian rotisserie chicken with some aji sauce and arroz chaufa. It is literally the best rotisserie chicken you can get. For that, I’m upgrading them to 4 stars.

The food is always great, service can be pretty slow, but everyone there is always really nice. Taku taku w fish is a must here, it’s excellent every single time, the creamy shrimp soup is also incredible.

The food here is so good, authentic Peruvian food. This has been my favorite place to get food in the area and their spicy green sauce is amazing! Must try!

My husband and I come here often. We’ve tried Peruvian restaurants closer to home, but they never come close to this spot, so it’s totally worth the 45 minute drive. Our 2 favorite dishes and must have every single time are the Ceviche Mixto and Jalea — deep fried seafood goodness without the icky greasiness! So delicious! The beef fried rice(best I’ve tasted) and parihuela(seafood stew) are really tasty, too. The portions here are huge and they never disappoint. Prices are very reasonable and service is always friend and on point!

I went on a Sunday night with my boyfriend who is also Peruvian like myself. We ordered chicharron de pollo and friend shrimp rice. The rice was okay, I feel like I have tried the same type in many other places even chinese stores. The chicharron de pollo was okay too, pretty standard. They didn’t have regular hot sauce and the one they had was not too great. The chicha was okay too, it was kind of warm which was odd because I’m use to drinking it pretty cold. I expected more from this place but honestly it tasted like a regular chinese store — food. I feel as if I had that dish served way better in the Dominican place on 171st in NYC. The waiter, was extremely attentive & friendly.

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. The food is really good and fresh. La comida muy rica y fresca. Una mezcla de comida china y peruana. Deliciosa! Pero un poquito cariñoso para un restaurante tan pequeño.

Came tonight for dinner for the 1st time — recommended to me by a friend of mine. Luckily I was able to find parking in front and get a table right away. Place is small but has a «homey» feel to it. Greeted right away and given menus. Service was great– had a handsome waiter who was attentive and friendly. Tried chichi– the house drink(made from purple corn) Which was very good . Ordered shrimp fried rice — which is a standard of mine at a Peruvian spot. Had the Bistec Apanado(breaded steak) which is a fav Peruvian food for me. Meals come with white rice or potatoes or French fries or salad. Will have to venture out next time and try something new. My friend had the Lomo Saltado(stir fried steak with fries etc) she loved it. Meals, plate of fried rice and beverages for both of us priced to 50 bucks. Will definitely be back

I’ve eaten there a couple of times in my life. However, one day I wanted to get food to go and when I reached out to get the menu a cockroach was coming from the kitchen to the where the menu was then went back into the kitchen through the opposite side. It seemed very comfortable in its surroundings. Needless to say, I never wanted to go there since.

authentic Peruvian-Chinese at reasonable prices in a heavily Peruvian neighborhood of Clifton. The wonton soup is great, throw some soy sauce in it. Chaufa Especial — fried rice with shrimp and pork and veggie bits, is great, served with a delicious. but fairly hot homemade hot sauce on the side, be cautious with that. friendly service. a number of tables. finding street parking in the area can be a little tricky, particularly in snow, you may need to park a block or two away.

Unilocaled around for a lunch spot in our vicinity and got this place on the radar. So we pulled the trigger and went inside… Interesting menu featuring south American and Chinese themed foods. We went for: Yucca ala huancaina: crispy fried yucca topped with a spicy cheese sauce and a(blech) hard cooked egg. Sans egg, this was quite good. The stir fried shrimp and noodles were ok, and would have been better if the noodles were stir fried a bit in a hot wok instead of reheating them in hot water, then tossing them in a bit of sauce. It was missing that extra something. The Peruvian style fish fillet was tasty, but suffered from an over salting of the dish, as a whole. Service was polite and fast, and the décor was freshly done and clean. Three stars for this joint. No more.

Stumbled upon this place while in the area and looking for a place to grab lunch. It’s a little hole in the wall that you’ll miss if you drive too fast, but it’s definitely a must if you’re looking to get full on some delicious food. There are about 10 tables and chairs set up and you’re immediately smacked in the face with the smell of rotisserie chicken upon walking in. All of the locals seem to love this place as there was a steady rotation if people coming in and out. I had an order of vegetable fried rice and a side of baked plantain. Both were delicious. My only complaint is that both dishes were very salty, especially the plantain. Otherwise, everything was delicious and the portion sizes are insane! You’re certainly getting your money’s worth in here. Great spot.

I have an obsession with rice but if I could choose from all the different types I would say«Arroz Chaufa» takes the trophy. It’s Peruvian fried rice mixed with other ingredients-onions, eggs, vegetables, and your choice of meat(I chose chicken). So of course I was excited to head to Jaimito’s, which is a Chinese/Peruvian influenced restaurant. This isn’t a spot to expect a beautiful decorated interior or top notch service. Take a seat and then you’ll be attended to. We had the yuca fries, lomo saltado(beef, fries,)/white rice and an order of arroz chaufa with chicken. After placing our order, within three minutes our food was out — I could never decide if that’s good or bad. The lomo saltado(beef platter) was decent, lacked a bit of the flavors, and I wasn’t surprised that it wasn’t «hot» since we got it a minute later. The yuca fries had yellow cheese all over them so I decided to pass on that. I was really happy with the arroz chaufa and a large order is more than enough for 2 people to split. I would have been happy with just this order and it’s definitely what would bring me back to Jaimito’s – I highly recommend it to those who aren’t sure what to order.

Peruvian-Chinese food, a fusion that really matches well with each other, like Sweet & Spicy! I had the fried rice with duck, with some green hot sauce. I give it 4 out of 5. I recommend this for sure! Friendly service by a family of Peruvians, and I wish them well.
