Established in 2002.

Our goal of our offices is to create an environment for the apprehensive patient (most people), that will enable them to receive dental treatment in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. This is done through the use or combination of anti-​anxiety medications, nitrous oxide (sweet air) or intravenous sedation.

Patients are encouraged to provide feedback as to their level of comfort, so that we are able to make the appropriate dosage modifications during the course of treatment. Our ultimate goal is a patient that no longer avoids needed or preventive dental treatment due to anxiety from prior dental experiences.

Dr. Vivian C.

Manager

Vivian Chiu, DDS is a graduate of the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry and is the director at The Apprehensive Patient located on 629 Clifton Avenue, Clifton, New Jersey.

Dr. Chiu is competent in all aspects of general dentistry from fillings, implant restorations to cosmetic dentistry involving crowns, bridges, veneers and whitening. Dr. Chiu is also Invisalign certified.

Dr. Chiu’s goal is to provide dentistry in the most comfortable and caring environment and sleep sedation for the apprehensive patients.

She has been practicing at The Apprehensive Patient since March of 2002.
