Precision Tune Auto Care

I’m picky when it comes to car service. Especially because I’m a single professional lady and don’t know much about cars, but need my ride to be fixed right away. This is my go to spot when my car needs servicing. On many occasions, I received prompt service and they’ve fixed my car immediately, car is ready to go on the same day, often before 2p. They are nice and listen to my concerns. I’ve been here so many times that they greet me by first name. They are reliable and I’ve developed a rapport with the owner and the mechanics. They have taken the time to get to know my car and even went so far as not to charge for minor service (just to look at it and troubleshoot). Most of the time, I only deal with «CJ» (the owner). I have referred many of my single girlfriends when they need auto service and the feedback has been good. Don’t let the name fool you, they work on foreign luxury cars for half the price at this location.

They ran money scam on you here. Tel you one price and charge something different. Was told one price for inspection fee they was charged 30 more.

Good honest mechanics. Reasonably priced and military friendly.

These guys were responsive. And quick. Gave me a great price. They were appreciated my business.

Do yourself a favor. If your dignity is important to you. If you hold respect for yourself dear to your heart. Avoid Precision Tune Auto Care in Clinton MD at all cost. Mr Hyun Jung is the most disrespectful person i met for quite some time. Before I discuss him let me tell you about me. Im the kind of person that believe in acknowledging the accomplishments of others. I tip well above 15% for good service. I am loyal customer and support the brands that have provided value for me and my family. I understand that a the relationship between a customer and a company is a partnership.
I had no partnership at Precision Tune Auto care in clinton today. The Manager Mr Jung treated me as if i was a criminal and not as a patron. He judged me an my action long before I arrived and open the doors to his shop and said hello. My issue was a small one but was dismissive to my issue and threw my work order back at me as if my i had intentions of duping him.
My issue was a simple replacement of a bulb for my headlights. When i fiddled in the car to activate the high beams. He assumed in my haste i was doing something dishonest and was a waste of his time and patience. I dont know what Mr Jung, Manager and Master Technician has experienced in a case like this; However, i was not who he thought he saw.
After he threw my paperwork back at me and I talked to his back as he proceeded back into his shop– steadily employing his to «look again» «sorry, I hit the wrong switch» Silly of me for not know how to activate my high beams efficiently! Honestly, how often are the actually used?
So now we are inside the shop and he’s not coming out. My son was standing outside the doors in the rain. He was not sure what was going on. He knows his daddy to be honest and upstanding and caring and polite. He did not know who Mr Jung of Clinton Precision Tune Auto Care saw either.
To ease the tension of my 11 year olds face; I turned and walked out of the shop. We traveled a block down the road and had the same inspection done 45 seconds later at Mr Tire. Thank God for Mr Tire! I handed the serviceman my paperwork he check my headlights and we were out in a jiffy. After the inspection stamp was placed on my work order, I had to return to this small minded man i showed the office my stamp and i demanded the store number, Mr Jung’s name and the contact for this district manager. All answers that seem strange to the other gentlemen who worked the office.
Moral of the story. This is not where you want to spend your dollars. I employ you to take your hard earned money elsewhere. Where you are valued and respected. Not where you are demeaned. Let turn this negative place into a positive. Let not rest until an out o business sign rest on it windows.

Sometimes you get a lot of talk from people in the service industry. Sometimes you don’t want or need it.
Sometimes you just want it straight and you want it done. Not sometimes, I mean always.
Here you bring your car, get it straight and get it done. No bs. That’s it. Always comparable in price, but no trying to up charge. You get what you ask for. They do what you want done. They’ll let you know if they find something, and they’ll tell you if it’s urgent or not. No pressure. Bam. Done.
And for a bonus, get a laugh from the funny crew and regulars while you wait. You’ll see why their customers are so loyal. They try to fit walk-​ins in as best they can, but it’s always better to call ahead if you can.

I was charged $ 453 for an ALTERNATOR and told it would take a little bit over an hour to do. It took 3.5 hours. Called around price checking for an alternator they range from $ 250 to $ 300, NOT including credit/​cash they give you for returning the old alternator. Will NOT BE RETURNING for ANY MORE SERVICE. I was actually looking for a routine service shop too, this is definitely NOT THE PLACE.

These guys were great I came in on a Monday about 2 p.m. They checked me in right away and my oil change took about 25 minutes. They didn’t try to sell me anything and they were very polite and professional. I would definitely go here again!

I would recommend «this» Precision Tune Auto Care because they provided me with excellent service on my vehicle. They saved me money on a previous quote and based on previous reviews are honest about what needs to be done.

Definitely a trustworthy place to go. My man CJ takes care of me whenever I go there to get work done on my car. Honest, dependable and they dont beat around the bush. Straightforward with reasonable pricing. I would recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t like going to the dealership and dealing with their «up sale» shenanigans.

Had great service at Precison Auto Tune with Paul & CJ. Was referred by a friend to this shop and saw it had great Unilocal reviews so decided to give it a shot. Had just got a new (used) car and wanted someone to check it out.
To my dismay, I was told here I needed new breaks and rotors. CJ strongly encouraged I return to the dealership and demand they provide them. I really appreciated that. He said he could repair it, but that having just purchased the car this was not something he felt that I should pay his shop to do.
Well, they refused so I paid out of pocket here and Unilocaled about the experience at the dealership. Long story short, they contacted me and offered to refund half. I quickly called CJ and asked what he thought about that. He advised me that I should demand a FULL REIMBURSEMENT from the dealership based on his observations of my vehicle.
So that’s what I did.
And that’s what I got :)
Appreciated his honesty and the work done. Paul’s assistance as well.
Was like I got a mechanic and a lawyer rolled into one.
Definitely sticking with this shop!
ps. Seemed like CJ knew everyone entering the shop by name so definitely a ton of return customers here. A loyal clientele base is always a good sign.

Among the many auto shops in the Clinton area, Precision Tune Auto Care really stands out. I called at 8:00 am on a Saturday morning and asked if I could bring in my wife’s Saturn Ion for a Maryland State Inspection and an oil change. To my surprise, I was told to come right in.
After arriving, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was no line. I opted for the premium oil change (includes top off of fluids) along with the inspection. While I waited, I walked over to Shoppers to buy a few groceries. The entire job was completed in just under 45 minutes. By 9:30 am, I was back home feeling accomplished before the day even began :)
I will definitely head back to PTAC for my future car service needs. Oh… and be certain to check their website for coupons. I saved $ 10 on my state inspection!

Professional. Knowledgable. Hospitable. Affordable. What more could one ask for?
Reason for going: Leak on driver’s side carpet, oil change, tune up.
They know exactly what you need, get it done as quickly as possible, and don’t bully you into getting unnecessary work done unless you agree. Great experience! :)

I drive 30+ miles to get my car serviced at this spot and there is a damn good reason for it.
I’ve been introduced to this Precision Tune Auto Shop through an acquaintance of mine because I heard they are very honest mechanics.
I have visited this shop twice to confirm my «car problems» that were reported on two separate occasions by Midas and Jiffy Lube, both of which gave me an estimated quote in excess of $ 1000. Both of these times, I came out of Precision Tune Auto Care with a $ 20ish charge for an oil change. Enough said.
I’m really sick and tired of the scamming by car mechanics and to know that I’m at peace of mind when I go to this shop makes it well worth the trip to go out to Clinton to get my car serviced.
As for customer service, recently, the owner’s son, CJ, offered me food from the lunch he ordered for his employees (Pizza Hut) when I went in to get new brakes. Wow. What car center does THAT!!!
If I were to say anything negative… it’s that CJ may give «preferential» treatment to some customers. On my recent visit, a mother of a girl who came out on America’s Next Top Model came to get her car serviced. Once CJ saw the model’s pic in the mom’s phone, he was in full gear: he chat her up like no other, opened the store door for her as she exited, opened her car door, and made 3 customers wait in line for 10 minutes while he chatted with her outside at her car.
The daughter was smoking hot. YEP.
Beauty goes a long way. YEP.
Can’t fault him for trying to score points with mum. YEP.
Bah. Since he’s a nice guy I’ll be a bit understanding and let him get away with that one.
