History

Established in 1930.

My grandparents started out by delivering ice, cold, and range oil back in 1930’s. My father took over after WWII and grew the business to include service and installations. Barry bought the business in 2000, adding air conditioning and gas service. The business continues to thrive today. We opened out new office and garage at 969 Main Street during 2013. Exceptional and expert service. We had another company filling our oil tank for ten years and three other companies servicing our furnace — one epic fail after another. As a result, I thought that inconsistent fills and constant knocking in our radiators was normal. Not since we started with Whitney though. They fill before we get too low, charge our credit card without any fuss and, amazingly, our radiators are completely quiet. I should also say that Whitney took us on as customers in the middle of record snowfall for our area when the company we had been with for a decade simply didn’t show up and we only had one more day of oil. Nothing short of amazing. Who does that anymore?

Remember the days where customer service and family owned companies were the rule and not the exception? This is Whitney Brothers. Brad and the office staff could NOT be nicer, more professional, accommodating and generous! We have been on the receiving end of fairness with them on every transaction from a simple fill up, a service call that was a simple battery replacement to buying and replacing our furnace. It is a pleasure doing business with them. I wish all businesses would go back to treating customers like Whitney Brothers does!!!

Called at 9pm on the coldest night of 2015. they showed up in 15mins … read that again … showed up in 15mins… it was some small issue and only took him a few mins to fix but we had HEAT! His phone was ringing off the wall the entire time he was with me but was so nice and explained everything … It’s times like this that make you thank a company like them.
