Clio Roadhouse Bar and Grill

This bar has some delicious drinks. The bartenders don’t screw you out of the correct amount of liquor that should go in your drink. The buffalo chicken cheese fries are basically a death row quality meal. I mean, I would probably order them for my last meal.
The bar does bring in a rougher crowd at times, but the service seems to be the same no matter who you are, so that’s a plus to me.
My only complaint is that one night (St Patrick’s Day), we sat at a table and we were waiting for well over 45 minutes with someone else’s empty, dirty beer cup on our table. The server for our area actually ignored us, took care of all her other tables, and pretended we weren’t there, refusing to clean our table and serve us (we didn’t know her so I have no idea why she just ignored us without asking another server for help if she needed it). So finally we asked a bartender if we could get a server to order food for us as it was ridiculous (we were sitting there with drinks we walked up and ordered at the bar, not just staring at each other waiting, but like I’ve never been seated at a table and had to get up and order from the bar before, your server always brings you more drinks, it’s just good service and that’s how it’s always been during my other visits).
Another server picked up our table and apologized profusely. Tipped her what she deserved anyway because it definitely wasn’t her fault AND she stayed over her shift to serve us food because some chick couldn’t handle her tables, but that’s the worst bar service I’ve ever had in my life, so they lost one star there. This is once out of about a dozen visits I’ve had over the last 8 months or so though, so take that into consideration. Usually service is prompt, and friendly as can be.
They are always playing a healthy mix of older and newer music, usually makes for a good dancing atmosphere on busier nights and they do have a floor area set up for that. It’s a cool place to relax and have a few with some basic but yummy bar food. Overall, I’m not going to stop going just because I had one crap server who probably doesn’t work there anymore. They make delicious screwdrivers!

Very good burgers offset by terrible service. The waitress forgot to input our order. I could not believe it. The manager was nice about it and took the entrees off our bill. I would go back for just that reason.

I’m not from the area but have been here twice and would veer over this way again.
Cool burger menu with interesting toppings. Very satisfied both trips.
My only complaint is it took longer than normal to get our food. But then I looked at all the specialty toppings for our burgers that have to be prepared and gave them a break. Hope you do too it’s worth it.

The only place in Clio that you can come to watch every game, eat the freshest wings and wash it down with an ice cold craft beer that is constantly changing! (They have an employees choice rotating tap handle)…A huge dance floor at night with great music and they are constantly hosting new events. There is an ongoing beer pong tournament that has a $ 1000 cash prize for the final winner! Great place all around!

I was in Clio so decided to give it a try. The waitress was very nice and made sure we were taken care of and the food was great. Their ruben sandwich with fries was so good. I’m definitely going back.

It was so bad theres not enough room to type of what a disaster that place was for dinner. Service 0 stars… food 1 star… waited 1.5 hours for food and another hour just to get out of there. Place had about 30 ppl in there. Never, ever go back… just unbelievable! Cant believe there still in business.

Steadily going downhill. Last 3 times in here, piss poor service, piss poor food. Last night, its 90 degrees out, i wanted an ice cold draft beer. Beer came, no head on it, and it was about 55 or 60 degrees. Asked the server, when she came back around from her 10 minute conversation with one of her friends, if the beer cooler was down, she said no it was humid in the bar. Food came, my daughter had her normal boneless wings, she has been in the bathroom since we got home. Its time for me to frequent another locale the for my weekly dinner and draft, I’m glad there are other choices, in town.

Clio Roadhouse is our go-​to place for bar, sports and fun. Their is always something going on there and they boast they are the biggest burger bar in town. They do have an amazing selection of burgers and you can build your own. They have themes every night and a lot of live entertainment. Even a patio outside. There were a few times when they were training new cooks or wait staff and things would happen. We would make note with the manager and things would be corrected. Nothing to really complain about. Minor things. We always go back. The atmosphere can’t be beat.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I’ll leave out the rant about the horrible service and cut to the chase. This place is a train wreck. Guaranteed that it will be on Bar Rescue soon.

Waited an ONE AND HALF HOURS for Stromboli and boneless wings!!! It’s a fryer and oven. Well I never got to taste the food. Waitress tried to charge me extra for a soda refill! Seriously refills don’t cost extra, there was not liquor in it. Craziness

Love this place! Craft beers on tap! Delicious bloody Mary’s, including their ultimate. Burgers are great, and fried pickles are to die for!

I love me a good Black and Bleu burger and the Blue Moon was a perfect example of why. Cooked just right!

Service was bad. Waitress didn’t know the Valentines day special; I asked for a Vernors she brought back a watered down sprite; hamburger was under cooked. Took 30 mins for a salad and a burger to arrive. They get a 2 stars because the manager did try to fix the situation and was very apologetic. Salad was good. We will never go back because it had an overall appearance of dirty; service and ambience was below standards.

Emily was my most excellent server and she did a back walkover for me. Brandy the manager helped us with great enthusiasm as well.

I used to frequent this place strictly for the food, not for their lack of drink specials and awfully loud music, but my last two visits will keep me from coming back. BOTH of these visits I ordered a burger, and BOTH times my order was forgotten and brought back cold, and the last time was terribly overcooked.
If you have no problem with slow service, cold and overcooked food, and hood rats, give this place a shot…

On my drive up north my boyfriend and I saw this place on Unilocal.The gigantic Bloody Mary grabbed my attention and we decided on the drive back down we would stop and try it out. I contacted the restaurant to inquire about the price, the manager responded back quickly and even offered me a $ 5.00 discount on the $ 25.00 beverage. The entire weekend I was so excited about this Bloody Mary and I was telling everyone about it, I hyped it up way too much and when the time came I was throughly disappointed. I really didn’t know much about it except that it was huge, the waitress never told me it was literally a full meal, so I was pretty upset that I ordered a burger on top of the Bloody Mary. It was way too much food, I was overwhelmed and it caused me to not enjoy my food at all. I didn’t even like my grande burger, I took one bite. Come to find out I wasn’t even special getting that $ 5.00 deal, everyone does that texts 313 131 «Follow Clio Restaurant.» The waitress should have done a better job explaining to me that the Bloody Mary has four chicken fingers, shrimp, an onion ring, two sliders, cheese, etc. I also didn’t see the build your own burger like other Unilocal users mentioned existed. The location was in a strip mall, the city itself looked a little run down. I don’t plan on stopping again during my next trip up north, it didn’t live up to the hype. Driving home I simply feel stuffed, sick, and disappointed. Blah.

Service was bad, food handling questionable. Didn’t wait too long since they weren’t very busy, but listening to the younger servers talk about their night before and how many hard drugs they’d done as they stand by the food window was a huge «are they are really talking about that?» type of astonishment. Sat at the bar, could see that the garbage cans the servers used was RIGHT NEXT TO THE PREP TABLE/​UNDER THE SERVING WINDOW, I’m talking less than two feet away. I was glad I only got an appetizer out of the fryer, I shudder to think how close other people’s half eaten food comes to new food coming out. Will definitely not eat there again.
Was there one night before that, just to drink, and watched the manager get into a shouting match with a server, right in front of customers. He was disrespectful and really rude to her. An older female then came over to our table, I could tell she was drinking. She said her name was Cindy and she apologized for the «commotion». This is how I found out she was a manager. Come to think of it, I’m pretty sure she’s the five star rating on this site, looks just like her.
Those are some quality folks…10/10 would rather eat a month old moldy burrito and risk it than go back here.

Been there a few times now, seems like they have their stuff together. Burgers are solid, the Pizza was good. Tried about 4 – 5 appetizers, all were what you would expect. Service was really good. Bloody Mary’s are way above average.

Been there twice, I can say I’ll never go back to it again!
After waiting for our fish & chips for nearly 45 min, the waitress comes to let us know the order never got to the cook!!!
Well not only that but when the check was brought, nothing was discounted, we still paid full price for drinks & appetizers even though we never got out fish!!!
Manager was called to talk to us & he just walked right past us with an attitude & ignored us!
I don’t look for nor want handouts, but how can you charge full price for a partial meal & bad service???

I LOVE YOU, BUILD YOUR OWN BURGER MENU!!! I don’t think I noticed any surroundings… I was just completely infatuated by you. And this is why I took a picture of you… Because it lasts longer. Annnnd I had to share it with the Unilocal community because you are just. That. Good. So many options. Oh… We will do it in so many different varieties. This is the beginning to a great long distance relationships. The fries that come with you are hit too.
