Fresh donuts in the morning, doesn’t get any better than that. Their coffee needs an upgrade though.

The pies here are the best in the area! New employee Jillian is quirky and always gives me a warm«howdy do» when I stop in for my regular order :) makes my entire day

Nasty owner!!! Would not return. The owner did not seem to welcome our family with the kids. She was extremely rude and confrontational. It’s a shame as this seems like a wonderful neighborhood restaurant.

can only comment on the donuts — absolutely fantastic. the sugar donuts are better here than at actual farms we take our toddler apple /pumpkin picking upstate. great coffee too. brought home some muffin tops, looking forward to devouring those soon… everything is quaint and quiet inside. friendly girl behind the counter. reasonable prices — beautiful looking homemade cakes and cookies too. weird, 2 doors down is a bakery? next time we will try some of their quiches or burgers. cute hidden spot in the middle of korea town/closter commons.

Very nice place for a quick, healthy lunch. I had the Oink Burger(with bacon) and, while not huge, it was fresh and flavorful. Sweet potato fries are a nice compliment. Next time I am going to try the Shrimp Spring Rolls. Carrot cake is terrific. The interior is casual and the staff is friendly. Nice place to eat and relax, unless you have to get back to work.

Super cute place. I was looking forward to going and took my daughter for a nice lunch out but it turned out far from that. I waited in line, there was an Asian woman behind the counter helping the customer before me. While waiting, an Asian woman got in line behind me. When it was my turn to order, the woman behind the counter completely skipped me and asked the woman behind me what she wanted. I said that I hadn’t ordered yet. Her response was, «Ask her for help». She pointed to a blond woman who was talking to someone and I had to wait to get her attention. She got my order wrong but I didnt realize it until I sat down. I left it alone, I didn’t want to go back up there. I spent $ 27 on a ¼ pound of chicken salad, 2 small coffees and two cookies. Never again. I hope this review isn’t taken down by Unilocal because what happened was blatant discrimination and they should be outed for it.

Cute little eatery. The food was decent; however, it is expensive. I ordered the vegetarian portobello mushroom burger and it was $ 9 with no sides. It tasted good, but I’ve had better vegetarian burgers. If they included fries, chips, or some fruit on the side with the burger, it would have been worth the $$.

Terrible service and over priced. Waiting 45 minutes for some one to cook a burger is not ok. I wouldn’t recomend this place to any one ever!!!

I happen to like the place, however their heralded hamburger is simply not worth it. They have good coffee and everything is homemade. Maybe if the women who owns the place would at least smile or look happy I would give it 4 stars.

Great spot! Great ambiance – rustic and cozy with a farmhouse feel. Freshly prepared foods, sweet crepes and home made donuts, pies and ice cream and yummy juices, Great seating inside and seating outside as well. Casual vibe with an emphasis on fresh yummy food in a rustic setting in suburban NJ!

I can’t say much for their other food options, but the doughnuts at The Barn in Closter are pretty darn good. If you suddenly have a strong craving for doughnuts, The Barn in Closter will satisfy that craving. With your first bite, you are immersed in an ocean of fried dough-y goodness. The doughnuts are crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. All in all, quality, fresh-made doughnuts. I ordered four doughnuts: sugar, cinnamon sugar, chocolate with icing, and vanilla with sprinkles. My favorite was the cinnamon sugar. $ 10 card minimum.

This place is not very good. Average quality food, overpriced and poor service. Ordered an egg salad sandwhich which basically had a little egg salad spread on small slices of bread. When I asked about the price($ 8.99) and the size of the sandwhich, they basically shrugged their shoulders. Person standing next to me commented how it was embarassing what they served and what they charged. Plenty better places to go in the area. Try Isabella’s.

I thought this place was a «Burger Barn» since they have many burger signs out front. I stumbled upon it one Sunday around noon and they were closed. I came back on a Tuesday evening around 5:30 and they were closed. Tried again on a Friday around 4 and they were closed. I really have no clue when they are actually open but I finally went this past Sunday at 2:30 and tried the French Onion Burger they advertise. It ended up being pretty small. I finally got a rinky dinky burger from The Barn. It was ok. I quickly learned it isn’t «The Burger Barn» but more of a pastry sorta place. Oh well. My rinky dinky burger and fries cost $ 13. I wouldn’t go back for a burger but maybe an ice coffee and a donut(since that is what they are«known» for).

The food was mediocre and over priced, and the wait was pretty long. I felt as if I was overwhelmed by Korean culture as I walked in

Donuts are amazing. Quality homemade donuts are hard to find. You’ll find them here. Especially the powdered cinnamon. Don’t go to DD for your donuts. The Barn is where its at.

Despite having a confusing store front and interior, this is THE place to go for the best donuts in the area! Freshly made donuts every morning and coffee too! Sampled powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, sugar’d, and plain. Cakey, moist, light, and not greasy. My favorite was the cinnamon sugar. Will definitely be going back here for more!

The Barn is owner Ted and Kay’s reincarnation of «The Farm» located at the old Trautwein Farm location. They have succeeded in transferring everything great about their initial endeavor to their new location and name. The baked goods are phenomenal, the blueberry crumb pie and peanut butter cookies specifically. Their prepared foods compete and beat out many of Bergen County’s best«high-end prepared food spots». From ratatouille to meatloaf and mashed potatoes, the diversification of their offerings is part of the appeal. Oh and the coffee is a must as well. If you live in the area and don’t frequent The Barn, start! Your life will be that much better!
