When people ask how Cloverdale Automotive & Tires got started, I smile.

One day, after both of us had endured a very long day at work, my wife Tina and I were sitting in our backyard watching our two little ones play. We starting talking about how fun it would be to be our own boss, have our own shop, you know, live the «American Dream». Although most of it’s a blur right now, we did it. We emptied our piggy banks, quit our jobs and with the help of our friends and family we started Cloverdale Automotive & Tires.

Not to brag, but I’m an excellent technician and have had the best training possible. My wife is great with people and pretty good with business. We have been married for over 20 years, so we knew we would make a good team.

Cloverdale CA is an amazing town and the people in it, more amazing. So with the support of our community, Cloverdale Automotive & Tires took off.

The first and only auto repair shop I’ve used since I moved to Cloverdale 4 years ago. Jeff, Tina and Craig have all treated me like family and have gone out of their way to provide the highest possible levels of service. Much more than I would have ever expected. When they do a job, it’s done right the first time and I never have to worry about paying for something that my old cars don’t need.

Had a small accident with my Mini Cooper while visiting in Cloverdale. They were able to determine it was the air conditioner that was damaged, not the radiator. They told me it was fine to drive back to SF where I live and have it fixed locally, which was much easier for me. I appreciated their honesty and very reasonable diagnostic fee.

Thank you, Cloverdale Automotive! Our car broke down along the highway and we were towed here. It was a small problem and easily fixed. They jumped right on it and had us back on the road in no time, and explained in detail what had happened so we could talk to our mechanic back at home – and they also told us exactly what to watch for as we drove, and what NOT to worry about so we wouldn’t panic if the car was a little odd. (which it wasn’t.) I could just tell from how they handled the whole thing that they are very professional and have high standards with everything they do. Our tow truck driver says he never lets anyone else work on his cars – and I figure a tow truck driver would know. Highly recommended. It’s also nice that they’ve got an auto parts store next door so parts are probably easy to get.

I took a flat tire here for repair and had a great experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. When I arrived they were pretty busy, so the mechanic told me if I left the tire and came back in an hour he’d have it ready to go. When I returned later at the specified time, the same guy was working with another customer who was clearly a pain in the ass, and he apologized for not having my tire ready. I ended up having to wait only 15 minutes longer, and when he was done he apologized again for the wait and said the tire repair was on the house! It was a very nice gesture for not that much of an inconvenience.
He even put the spare tire back in its storage space despite having to remove and replace some boxes of stuff I had in the trunk. They definitely went beyond what was expected to provide great service, I will be back.

Cloverdale automotive did an excellent job at helping us out. We broke down and AAA towed us there from Highway 128. They fixed our problem and got us back on the road even though we had an older, less common vehicle from the 80s. Craig at the front desk was very helpful.

Had to replace my coolant flange on my Audi, did a great job, fixed the leak, car was ready on time, estimate was correct. No other issues with my car. Brought my own parts in, since Audi parts are hard to find in this area. I will go back if I ever have issues with my cars. Very friendly.
