Established in 2010.

Dan started A Different Bent when he looked for a recumbent bike and couldn’t find one anywhere in the central Valley. He saw a need for a local retailer, and was uniquely positioned to seize the opportunity. A Different Bent is a full service bike shop in Central California that carries an extensive selection of recumbent bikes and trikes which are available for test rides.

Business Owner

Dan is an avid lifelong cyclist, who is very passionate about recumbents and the health benefits of laidback cycling. When Dan first got into recumbents he weighed 220 lbs and was very out of shape. Thru change in diet and exercise riding a recumbent bike, he lost over 50 lbs. He has completed the grueling Climb 2 Kaiser Challenge 2 times, most recently in 2015 on the first recumbent trike to complete the challenge.
