We have been family owned and operated since April of 1997. Darryl Lowitz has been an automotive mechanic for over 30 years, with roots beginning with German engineering vehicles. His spouse, Jamie Lowitz has worked at dealerships maintaining bookeeping for over 25 years.

Business Owner

Darryl Lowitz the owner worked strictly at a European automotive repair facility for 15 year’s than the company retired after 30 years in business. Also, at that time he rebuilt and repaired air-​cooled Volkswagen engines. We also worked on Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi and Volvo as well. The need for more space required a move to larger building at 2862 Larkin Avenue in Clovis.

This set the stage for our consistent growth over the years through the process of adapting to the needs and desires of our customers. In 1997 the same thing resulted in our move into the Japanese and American vehicle markets. In every case Darryl found specialists to work for him in servicing his clients needs. Several years ago Darryl combined the operations under one roof to provide our clients with the best combination possible — our proven professional and personalized specialty vehicle service and the convenience of one location for their different vehicles.

William and his team of technicians did a fantastic job diagnosing my suspension issues with my car including taking a test drive of the vehicle to pinpoint the problem. The repair was done in a timely manner and I felt I was afforded a fair cost for the repair. I have taken my 2011 Nissan Altima 3.5 here multiple times for upgrades and repair. The office staff is very personable and knowledgeable. They use only quality parts and their workmanship is top of the line. If you’re looking for an honest auto repair shop that doesn’t cut corners this is it. I would recommended them to all Clovis residents who care about their vehicles maintenance.

Auto House of Clovis did an awesome job with my Hyundai Sonata! They found the problem quickly, fixed the problem quickly and all for ½ the price of what I thought it would be! I found A.H.o.C by performing a few searches. The reviews and their website gave me the info was looking when searching for a quality shop. Their 3 factors one should use when choosing a good quality mechanic shop. 1. technical competent 2. honest 3. advanced tech tools
Darryl and his wife have all 3 and with William being on the front lines in the office this is a quality shop. Plus, the use OEM parts which insure your vehicle parts fit and the repair last.
I had a remanufactured GM transmission installed in my car. William is a good service advisor communicating what I wanted resolved to the auto tech. He also kept me informed (as needed) with the process. They showed me the parts that were broken and gave me plenty of information. I never felt like they were withholding anything.
Also, they have online tool that keeps track of service (s) performed on your vehicle, future appointments and recommended services. Basically their own version of Carfax.
It’s not that their the cheapest or the fastest but your vehicle will be done correct the first time with OEM parts for a fair price.

AutoHouse of Clovis is the goto shop for all of your needs. We have two cars serviced there. They are fast efficient and honest. Both times the cars had major repairs and the final price was at or below their estimate. I was kept in constant contact on the status of the job including parts and delivery time.

I took in our truck to have the AC fixed After calling around, we expected it to be over $ 1000. Using very technical terms like «thingy» and saying things like «there’s a really small wire in there somewhere,» I tried to explain what we thought was wrong. They called a few hours later, saying they figured out from my description what was wrong, it’s fixed, our bill is $ 217. Wow!!! Obviously an honest mechanic, reasonable, and didn’t make me feel like an idiot.

One star is a compliment! I had my bronco there numerous times… They have no clue what they are doing. You seriously need to go to another shop! I spent lots of money with promises that my bronco would be fixed. With less than 120 miles THE FIRST TIME it was towed back to the shop!!! 2nd time it couldn’t go more than 4’miles without over heating! The 3rd time less than 40 miles and sitting on the side of the road. This place is a scam.

Honest! Had my Sebring towed in there for what I thought was a blown radiator hose or a blown head gasket. The dealership couldn’t get me in so I rolled the dice and called Auto House. I expected the worst and then they called and said it was just a faulty radiator cap! What a relief! Got out of there for the cost of the diagnosis and a new radiator cap. They now will get all my business going forward.

So it is really nice to be able to take my car somewhere where I know they are going to be honest and trustworthy! go to service and repair facility for the last 8 years! They handle the smallest and most mundane of my requests to major problems. I have a collection of street and race cars as well as everyday transportation vehicles, cars and trucks. They range from the 1930’s through my wife’s 2010 Jaguar Supercharged XF. I am hard to please. Fortunately everyone at Auto House understands car nuts — we want our toy (car) back right now, performing properly and never want to hear the terrible statement, «We couldn’t find the problem.»
Auto House has never failed me, my wife or daughter, never! They are the best. They make you feel welcome every time. I regularly recommend them to every car person I know.
Every technician I started with 8 years ago is still there! That in itself should be endorsement enough for anyone looking for an honest and qualified repair shop for anything with a motor. Auto House works on them all.
