Okay so this place is creep central. The people that work there are oaky rednecks straight out of Auberry(what a coincidence). Especially the fat employee that drives the f250. He complained like the wimp he is that my dad was pointing a gun at him. Then he started bragging about the deer he shot. I feel sorry for you bud. Farmers only is looking for a person like you. Also you didn’t have much to say once I started looking your way after your comment to my dad. Good luck hick. I think he was just a little jealous about the arsenal of weapons we had. Anyways place is a joke.

I used to go to the outdoor Peace Officer Range in Fresno when it was still open for public use. At the same time I also went to the indoor pistol range. Shooting indoor is not for me. You are so limited to what you can do and shoot. Since the Peace Officer Range changed its policies due to new ownership I went looking for another outdoor range. I knew about the Auberry one for awhile but never tried to go. This range is the only public outdoor range in the Fresno area now. The distance is not that far and can be easily traveled to, even in a regular car, no truck need. The staff are friendly and will help you if need be. Pricing is fair and they have all the necessary accessories for rent. The venue is clean and since you are at the bottom of the foothill and away from the city the air quality is a little better(maybe it’s just in my head). I recommend people try an outdoor range if they have not already. It has less noise, cleaner air, further targets, can accommodate different type of firearms, and more space to move around. Those are the things an indoor range can not offer.

I’ve just recently had the pleasure of shooting at this range again and been there three times within the past couple of months. Every time has been a great experience. The range officers are on top of their game when it comes to overall safety and attention to detail. Brittany and Jason were especially helpful and went the extra mile to provide 5 star customer service. Good Job and thank you Fresno Pistol and Rifle !

This place is great. It’s only fifteen minutes outside of Fresno. I had never been to an outdoor range. My gun knowledge is very green. The people inside the office were outstanding and the range master was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. The bathrooms were even clean. My son and I had a great experience going through several rounds. I would definitely go back and recommend.

Came here for the first time on Saturday 3⁄7 to check it out. It’s a beautiful place out in the country and the«old west» town when you first get there is really cool looking. The staff were all super friendly and helpful! I was even offered extra eye and hearing protection for no charge. They clearly and slowly explained all the rules and never made me feel dumb. One of the regulars there was really friendly as well and allowed me to try his antique Russian rifle. I will definitely return and may even purchase a membership.

You don’t have many choices when it comes to rifles in this area so you’ll probably end up here anyway. Prices aren’t bad but I wish the general admission fee was just a a tad lower. Bring your own items. No guns/no ammo offered here. Ammo rules are strict which is a little bit of a bummer for people who respect their weapons but we all know their are plenty of idiots with weapons, and the rules are there because some idiot had to mess it up for everyone.(no metal ammo allowed either) Staff is friendly and will help you out with your questions. Even had one guy break down the rifle for me to find an issue. There’s usually a cat in the main entrance which has nothing to do with weapons but is rather enjoyable. Honestly have never been at a real busy time. Maybe I just go at off hours but they place is spaced out very well. Have some nice shotgun areas too. Overall not a bad place at all, could step up In a couple areas but we all know the gun industry in California isn’t exactly boomin.

I was there the other day it’s a nice range to go too. $ 18.00 per person and $ 2.00 a frame bring your own target. they not allow gun holsters or steel targets on the range. You must have eye and ear protection. They do check your ammo

Date: 8÷12÷13 Weather: high 70’s-mid 80’s Arrival/Departure: 0900 – 1130 Accessibility/Location: Not noticeable from the road, MUST look for the billboard sign alongside the road Parking: Small asphalt parking lot next to shooting range, pull up parking Appearance: Outdoor range, dusty Noise level: Loud Service: Good, friendly Price: $ 18/person Features: Hot/Cold(open) range, shade, target rental, personal protection available at a small fee, no ammunition for sale, no gun rental, restrooms on premises Side note: Membership available, law enforcement allowed on special range(lucky!), no walking/flipping target allowed, spinning targets OK. Steel core, steel jacketed or bi-metal ammunition is not allowed. Overall: We arrived with a party of 8 and were pleased with the outdoor set up. The staff who assisted us was helpful and friendly. The other shooters were also courteous and communicated well when targets were due for replacement. Definitely bring your own gun/s, ammo, targets, and personal protection. I highly recommend this location if you’re looking for a more rugged outdoor range. The location is much more pricey but well worth it. Thanks, FRPC!

I had a great time up here, I had not been here for about 3 years, a few things have changed, I didn’t see ammo for sale, but I always bring my own. The ranges were all open, no big crowd. Could be due to ammo prices and lack of ammo available. I will be back.
