I used to go to fabric stores as a little girl with my mom… and I remember the experiences being much less pleasant… with hunting down the perfect fabric in these dauntingly cramped aisles… and then waiting in lines to get the fabric cut for what seemed to be a torturous infinity.
This may be why today I don’t sew more than a button that popped off a favorite item of clothing… or why my first adult visit to one of these stores didn’t occur until this last month… when I decided to try to make a no sew baby sling for my little one. I went in expecting to be overwhelmed by the wait and the hunt for the right fabric… but was instead pleasantly surprised.
I cannot give the full five stars because their aisles were overcrowded to the point that it was impossible to navigate many aisles with their shopping carts without knocking items over… but otherwise, the efficiency, selection and great service made my experience very positive.
First, the fabric seemed to be organized reasonably. It wasn’t hard for me to find what I was looking for.
Second, they have a system set up where if you want fabric cut, you take a ticket, keep shopping and report to the station when your number is called. How awesome is it to be able to avoid the dull wait in line and can finish your shopping while you wait? Of course, I can see how this would be of little benefit if you just wanted fabric and nothing else.
In all, if this project turns out well, I may just have to expand into the fabric arts. If so, I will gladly return to this store.

My daughter purchased a fabric cutting ‘kit’ which cost $ 179.99. After trying it out she was not happy with it, it tore the fabric. When she went to return it with the receipt the manager KYLIE said my daughter would have to mail it back to the company to get her refund! My daughter was telling KYLIE, when I bought this the guy who helped me assured me I could return if didn’t work as long as I had receipt. So she kept receipt in case needed to return. KYLIE told her «I remember you I talked to you when you bought item and told you that you couldn’t return in store». Which was a lie!
I was shopping with my daughter when she bought this and when she went to return it. When she bought item it was a young man who helped her.
I asked KYLIE so on receipt where it says if not satisfied with purchase, simply return it for full refund, that’s not actually true? It’s just written there?
Finally she said you can have refund this time and finally gave my daughter refund.
KYLIE was completely wrong in denying the refund at first. I have tried calling her manager Steve Petlewski but he never seems to be available.
