Lithia Nissan of Clovis

My appointment to service my car wasn’t until 9. I showed up before my schedule time, they took my car in and were done within an hour. Just wish they had a shuttle on weekends. Still great service A+

My experience at Lithia Nissan has been the worst imaginable. Fist they got me I to a very basic Nissan rogue, promised I was financed, everything is great, signed the papers, signed my own car over, then two weeks later found out they didn’t do their jobs right and I had to bring back my brand new rogue that I had fallen in love with. Oh and just to set it up. They gave me the rogue with an empty gas tank and white paint splattered on the inside. Then they promise they can get me into a versa. So a month later I stupidly went back for a car that I didn’t want, and even then they were screwing up. They were not listening to me, they kept trying to convince me that I had limited options because I was so new to the credit world and self employed. I felt backed into a corner. The salesman kept bringing me numbers and obscene interest rates that I was not comfortable with. Even to the point where I asked if I could go home and run the numbers with my mom who used to be a car salesman (or saleswomen) and he tried to get me to sign the contract before I left! He said the bank wouldn’t wait a day and I needed to sign to keep the deal open. Ridiculous. So i went to future Ford, I got excellent service, I got a brand new never before driven 2015 Ford Focus for an amazing interest rate and all the numbers were right where I wanted them to be the FIRST TIME. I am never going to deal with Lithia Nissan again.

Took our 2015 Murano in for an issue with the passenger side airbag light. On two occasions it has come on saying it was «off». Both times my wife, all 125 lbs of her, was sitting in the passenger seat. One time on a trip it stayed on for 2 hours. Our service advisor Tim Bowden called and informed us they took the car out but could not duplicate the problem. He tried to explain to us that if your not sitting in your seat properly, or if your sitting too far back, or if you don’t weigh enough that it might not register. He also tried to tell us that the system does periodic tests on itself and during that time the air bag would be inoperative. I asked Tim where it states anywhere in the owners manual about this or what the specs were on the weight restrictions and neither him or his supervisor Howard Robinson could tell me. I also asked both Tim and Howard if during the time that the light is on indicating the airbag is off and my wife or any other passenger is in the the seat would the air bag deploy during an accident. They both said no. Really? So they are saying basically its a crap shoot for the airbag to work if your in an accident. I think its ludicrous for any one to believe this story. The air bag is faulty plain and simple and they don’t want to fix it. I did some web searching and found reviews with customers having the exact same issue.

Had a wonderful experience here this morning. Service advisor Tim, did an outstanding job with customer service. He is the reason why I’m rating 5 stars. He should train other Nissan service advisers, maybe then all the other Nissan Dealers will receive more 5 star ratings. Service was fast in a timely matter. And by observing how other customers were being treated, you can tell this Nissan of Clovis is the place to go. I overheard a women in the lobby saying she had a horrible experience at Nissan Fresno location. They over charge and used parts that were not legit. You can’t fool her, because her brother is a Nissan Technician down south. I’m glad I compared Unilocal reviews and chose this dealership. I hope this place keeps up it’s 5 star service.

Had a great experience, we went in wanting a car that day and left with a new car! can’t ask for anything better. Bobby was awesome!

Just bought a car from there salesman brought over a 60 month contract agreed on the price and had us sign it. I would say they took advantage of us since we were since young and naïve and took what the salesman said. When to finance to sign the paperwork of course who really read the fine print after you already sign a 60 month paperwork outside with the other. We took the car home and the dealership call us within a week to go in a resign a contract which would make the car cheaper of course we went just to find we have just sign the car on a 72 month lease. This really woke me up you can’t be so trusting to anyone these days. My fault for not reading the fine print but this will never happen again. I hate to say that from now on all car salesman words are full of shit.

I went in on a Saturday afternoon for recall work for a late-​model Altima I had purchased off-​rental. The staff were everything I could ask for – helpful, courteous, informative, etc. It was a day-​and-​night difference with recent experience with another Nissan dealership somewhere between Fresno and Visalia.

1^st off all the customer service was excellent. We were greeted when we first pulled up to drop off our Nissan Rouge. Alex Chavez helped us and was very patient, as we did bring our little one, getting little guy out of his car seat. While yes there was a long wait, Mr. Chavez occasionally came by to inform us the progress of our vehicle. Thanks for the break room having some sort of entertainment for my son. At the end of the day we were very satisfied with the work done on our Rouge and the way we were treated. Lastly we left our sons sandle there and Alex quickly informed us so we can retrieve it. Thank You Alex Chavez and Nissan of Clovis!

Oil change at a fair price, done quickly and courteous service.

I went to Nissan of Clovis for an oil change. Tim from the Service Department provided prompt, courteous, friendly, and professional service. The mechanics were friendly and openly honest about how long it could take. They provided the oil change promptly and they gave my car a courtesy wash. Outstanding service! I would go back for additional service and would recommend this dealership to others.

The dealership is fine, but the mechanic/​repairs division is extremely overpriced and not the most honest.
I came in with a broken tire pressure sensor. The mechanic was friendly but quoted the price to be $ 250/​$ 300. He said it was a specific sensor for Nissan only and only the dealership possessed it. We waited 35 minutes until he said he doesn’t have the part either and needs to order it.
Had issues with:
1. Quoted me $ 200 above the normal garage price
2. Said the part was nissan specific and I couldn’t find it in other places
3. Waited 35 minutes for them to me they didn’t have the part?
I ended up taking it to Les Schwab Tire Center 5 minutes before they closed. I filled out the paperwork, they found the part (turns out it wasn’t nissan special made, everyone could order it), and it only costs $ 70.

Great experience! They were nice, not pushy, gave me a great deal that I never expected, then after I left with my car they found me an even better deal on my interest so called and let me know! Pepper is the best! Got me into a car that I didn’t even try for because I didn’t think I could. Everyone was so very nice.

When I pulled into the lot I told Sam my salesman that I had about 1 hour to close the transaction on a Nissan Rogue happily we close the transaction within the hour and I was on my way! smoothest easiest transaction I’ve ever done thank you Clovis Nissan

This place is dishonest and over priced! I can’t believe the way they lie! Some car dealers are crooks but these people are the worst. We will never own a Nissan again!!!

After horrible experiences with both Lithia Hyundai and Own a Car, I headed to my trusted friends at Lithia Nissan in Clovis. I’ve bought at least 5 cars here in the past. I was wanting to step outside my Nissan habit. Huge mistake! When I arrived I was greeted warmly and given to Jessica to handle the transaction. She is nice, funny, and a joy to chat with. They promptly got me approved for a 2015 Nissan Versa, while Own a Car had me all but begging for a cheap/​used car. Things went a little slow after that as they had staff members out sick, but they were very apologetic and never treated us like they were doing us a favor like the other lots. I wish I’d have saved myself the headache and just come here in the 1^st place.

I wanted to thank the whole Lithia Clovis of Nissan team for the most friendliest, professional, most courteous service team I have ever encountered with. From a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate Lithia Clovis of Nissan a 13. To the General Manager Adam Marazzo, thank you so much for the wonderful experience at your dealership. It was the best experienced I have encountered when purchasing my vehicle. All of the staff members were pleasant to work with. My Salesman Christian Ruiz was professional and super friendly but never «pushy» Christian worked in a very straight forward manner to bring me to a fair trade-​in deal that I am very satisfied with. By far, I am the happiest owner to a 2012 Nissan Murano. My car is a gem. Also, I am very pleased with the hard work Douglas Brown helped me with financing my vehicle. He bent backwards in order for me to get the best rate. Again… thank you for a job well done. I would also like to thank Howard and Shianne for the first class treatment at the service department. I am extremely one happy customer. I will definitely recommend your dealership to my family and friends when they are in the market for a new car. This review is for service and for Shianne: She was wonderful! I had no appointment and walked in at 3pm for a oil change. When I purchased my vehicle a few years ago I was entitled to so many oil changes. I was covered under the «Tripac» program. Long story short I gave Shianne my Tripac card when checking in and she discovered it was denied. She took the time to call the 3^rd party company (Nissan has nothing to do with this) and inquire as to why I was denied. Apparently my oil changes expired 3 months ago. However, she was able to convince them to let me receive 1 more free of charge! She really bent over backwards for me and went out of her way to help me out. Thank you Nissan of Clovis and more importantly Thank you Shianne!

Since Lithia took over, the customer service has become horrible. I had a scheduled appointment at 1320, arrived 10 mins early for paperwork. I remained in the waiting room. I was here for an oil change, tire rotation, and break check. I was checked in at 1316. I checked in with the service guy at 1435, the car was just being taken into the garage. People that came in after me have already received service and left. I’m not happy about this.
I’ve now been here for 2 hours.

Beware of this dealership and in particular a salesman named Frank. I’m writing this review because my husband and I have been to several dealerships in the area and met with many different dealers but our experience at Nissan of Clovis with Frank, was the worst. The entire time we were with Frank we had the feeling he was trying to bully us or con us into a sale. I never have felt so disrespected by any other dealer. When you think of shady used salesman, Frank is exactly that, don’t waste your time.

My girlfriend wanted to take a look at the Maxima so we stopped by on our way home from work. The salesman had no idea what he was talking about and kept insisting I trade in my Z. I refused. I asked him questions I already knew the answer to about the Maxima that we were there to see. He failed. i.e. «What motor is currently being used in the Maxima? Is it similar to the motor in the 350/​370z?» His answer, «No, its completely different». The window sticker clearly states that the Maxima is equipped with the VQ35DE, the same motor found in most 350Z’s. The difference? Transmission, tuning, various tubing, ect. You can’t sell a car you know nothing about, especially to an enthusiast, but most especially if you insist you’re right. As I pointed to my Z parked a few yards away and told him that I know a thing or two about Nissans, he gave me the go-​around about how Nissan’s are all completely different now and all have completely new motors. He also flat out told us we will never find a brand new Maxima with our budget. Slightly annoyed, however amused, I asked what the difference between the Maxima and Altima was. I will not include his answer, but I will say that he has some studying to do.
Also, they refused to replace my clutch slave because I had 60,400 miles on the odo. Took it to another dealer a few hours/​hundred miles away and they replaced it and gave me a rental for free.
Nissan of Clovis? Eek! Methinks not.
