We had the rib eye with potatoes and the the seafood pasta. The food was really delicious. Nice establishment for a good dinner night. It’s one of those gems you would normally find while traveling on vacation… but it’s here at home!

Thank god my boss decided to take me here on the company dime. The menu offerings are interesting enough to exacerbate my foodie indecision, and the follow-through does not disappoint. The seafood pasta pretty much ruined any pretense at a low-carb diet this week. I also appreciated the selection of California beers, though my low tolerance(oh, and that damn low-carb bullshit) makes it impossible to fully enjoy it. I hope I can afford to return here someday!

I want this place to be off the charts! My experience there over the holidays was just okay. As I waited for a table, sitting at the bar, I had to ask for a glass of wine… there were two people behind the small bar! Once seated the service got a wee bit better. I was told the mac and cheese was the best. It was okay. The cheese was torched on top like on crème brûlée. It gave the cheese a strange taste. The ambiance is almost there! The white ceiling tiles distract from the cool grey wall color. The lighting is great but if you sit at the«chef’s table» the white kitchen ruins the lighting and the ambiance. Again I so want to love this place… I will give it another try!

I’ve tried this restaurant twice, I really wanted to like it but I just can’t bring myself to give them anymore money. their wait staff is horrific and when asked for something for my son to eat while with some friends she offered a purée that the chef makes. After having our glasses empty for over 30 minutes and hunting down another waitress we got water but and were still waiting on our lunch. They assured me that I didn’t need to order anything for my son because I would get this purée the chef is «known» for but by the end of the meal not only was our food lackluster, the waitress who spent over an hour assuring me that my his food would come let me know that the chef won’t have time to make him anything due to a large party and asked if I wanted to order him something. No, I had already asked for my check and my friend had already ran down the way to get him food since he was clearly hungry and we knew we couldn’t count on them to supply the needed food. My husband had heard rave reviews so he wanted to try it out himself but our service was even worse and after being there for close to 2 hours we ecstatically declined desert since we had to run home to our babysitter and our relaxing date night was filled with stress as it took almost 2 hours to get our meal. They even informed us they were going to be closing soon as to rush us out and had still not supplied us with our bill. I told my husband that maybe they realized how much of a train wreck the meal was and they were not billing us but that wasn’t the case, they provided the bill without a book which I know is something they do for their customers.

After reading the reviews we were excited to try Rev last night. Unfortunately we won’t return. Both my husband and I felt the service was less than expected at a casual restaurant let alone one that charges $ 19 for a burger. Don’t get me wrong, the burger was tasty but very overpriced. My husband had duck breast which was cooked rare rather than medium as he ordered. It was fine but not great. Our waitperson was not familiar with the menu and could not describe the specials in a way that seemed«special». The atmosphere is stark, trying to be trendy but missing the mark. As we walked out the door a young women came up to say she had been busy and didn’t get to check in with us. We had been there 1 ½ hours. We won’t return.

Anazing food and atmosphere!!! I recommend everyone try this place. We sat at the chefs table and they would bring samples of everything on the menu. From décor to service to FOOD everything was perfect. Good prices too, FINALLY real good resturants are slowly popping up in the central valley. I hope everyone comes here and samples the food becuase this place will be around for a long time. This place will not dissappoint. We will be back soon!

What a great experience! From beginning to end was great. Staff was very personable and friendly. We had ribeye steak, lobster Mac and cheese, and burger. All was wonderful. Desserts were wonderful. Get the house doughnut! Met the owners and they were super friendly and great. Will be back for sure.

Customer service was excellent! We made a last minute reservation for a large party and they were more accommodating than any other restaurant in Fresno. When we got there, they treated us like we’ve known them for years– despite just meeting them. The food speaks for itself! We will definitely be back for the amazing service and cuisine!

I had high expectations for this place since I heard a lot of about it here as well as with colleagues and I wanted to like to this place a lot We walked into a really empty restaurant on a Sat night at 6 pm that had poorly lit signage from Clovis ave and were seated at the chef’s table without a reservation. I have never seen a chef’s table in front of a counter, not behind it, so this is really a table close to the chef… nothing more people. Our menus were printed on wrinkled paper and not laminated with obvious moisture damage… we are off to a bad start. I ask to be relocated to actual table since I am not going to sit on a bar stool behind a counter without an actual view of the prep work. Our server was on point but had to read the only one special from a piece of paper! We started with one of the absolute worse apps I have ever had in a restaurant of this rating. The baked mussels for $ 11, I should have send it back. It smelled fishy and was less than a quarter size and with almost $ 2 per mussel, it was unbearable. I had thought of cancelling the rest of the meal at this point but I am actually glad I didn’t. So rarely has a place made an actual comeback The house salad was amazing, nothing short of that. It was perfectly tossed and dressed without any excess dressing and well balanced creaminess and tangy aftertaste. this takes some care to get done right. Seafood pasta was al dente and deep smokey, cheesy taste without being overtly salty and yet it allowed the ingredients to shine through. Being a new englander until recently, it looked like the NE clam chowder was too heavy as well. I was once again wrong, it delectable without being mussy and had a nice bite/crunch to it. Their burger was medium as requested and juicy with a nice char on the outside. Lastly I read a few hits and misses about their dinner portion lobster mac and cheese. I agree that lobster here is overused but then again the star of it was the mac and cheese. Al dente mac with complex depth, savory twist with many blends of cheese. It is ridiculous to say it was bland. This depth can only be accomplish with multiple artisanal cheese, not the cheap stuff at chain restaurants that is loaded with salt My last comment is that I echo some comments here that their price point is on the higher side for what they are offering, these are prices you see in bay area. Nothing wrong with that but quality has to match with no misses. They are not on the level of Trelio’s but draw obvious comparisons to Max’s bistro and Annex kitchen. I do not believe in judging a place based on one visit and will likely given them another try before I decide on becoming a regular or scheduling a business dinner here

Went here today. I’m in love. Food was awesome and the service was above and beyond! The décor seems casual-upscale. I like the open kitchem concept with the chef table directly across. The menu is a bit pricy but it is worth it for what you are eating. I came here for lunch so it wasn’t too bad. I ordered the pastrami sandwich with salad and my friemd ordered the chicken sandwhich with the fries. The portion sizes are on the larger size. My pastrami sandwich was very flavorful. I liked the homemade sauerkraut, the roll was soft, warm and buttery and the meat was seasoned well. The salad was very good and there was the perfect amount of dressing. I tried a bite of the chicken sandwich and it was good. I perfered the pastrami! We also got the snickers cheesecake to share. It was SO soft and chocolately. I’m confident I’ll be back to eat here in the weeks to come!

Three main dishes were ordered: 1. The brined chicken– moist and perfect sauce 2. Seasonal chef salad — OMG 3. Chef special off-menu home made gluten-free cheese sauce on chicken mac and cheese: Off. The. Chart. Also: knowledgable, attentive, friendly service. We all plan to return many times.

This place is fine for Clovis. The first half of the restaurant is nicely decorated, but the back room isn’t quite pulled together yet. $ 19 for a burger is ridiculous. You can use a less expensive cut than rib eye and still make a great burger. Eureka’s most expensive burger is $ 16 and it’s delicious. The fish tacos were meh. A little bland, needed cilantro and more flavor in the sauce and fish. Lobster is plentiful on the East Coast, but not so much here, so I don’t really understand putting it in the Mac and Cheese when we have so much good local produce and meats that could equally elevate it. This place has potential but hopefully it finds itself and puts together a more cohesive menu with more local options.

Outstanding food! My husband overly enjoyed his tacos and I loved the seafood pasta. Huge shrimp and scallops with amazing sauce. Enough for a whole extra meal. You have to come support local place and welcoming atmosphere. We will be going back again!

This restaurant does not disappoint the service was impeccable, ambiance awesome, food was good but not remarkable. But that’s how I would rate the place. I do give it 5 stars because it does go well above and beyond to please their guests and I like that. We will be back to try many, many more apps and entrees since we already tried all of their desserts and our fave was the snickers cheesecake.

I was very excited to try Rev’s. The restaurant really speaks to my heart. Farm fresh, local ingredients, cooked BYTHEOWNER. It’s a recipe for success. Plus, Clovis is in need of a few more good restaurants. The décor in REV’s is contemporary and modern. The wait staff was on point. Mark was a fabulous server. With that said, I don’t think they’ve really hit their stride yet. The food was good, if not maybe even on the fair side. But the quality didn’t match their price. At the prices we paid,(which are some of the highest in town) the food has to outshine everyone in the area. We ordered a couple appetizers to give them a true testing. We ordered… Risotto Balls — They were a little dry and bland. Thankfully they had a couple tasty sauces to accompany them. Lobster Mac & Cheese — a great bite of food. We only ordered the appitizer so we could try the dish. But I kinda of wish I would’ve ordered the dinner portion because it would have more Lobster. Without lobster in the bite, the Mac and Cheese was kinda of bland and disappointing. REV burger — not bad. But not worth the price, unfortunately. We asked for med/rare. From the picture you can tell it was closer to well. Thankfully the egg we added helped with the moisture of the burger. Scallops dinner — $ 36… Small amount of white rice, a few green beans, and THREE gold-plated scallops. Ok, I kid about the gold plating, but they were priced like it. The scallops were cooked well and tasty with the sauce that accompanies them. But I seriously can’t get passed the $ 36. Or $ 12 a scallop. However you want to look at it. I don’t know if I’ll be returning anytime soon. Too many other restaurants to try in this area before Rev gets another $ 100 out of my wallet.

Went here last week and will rave about this place for months. Reeeeeeaaally cool décor – a mix of upscale with casual; great service, and food to DIE for! We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, seated promptly, and bantered a little with our waiter, Mike. We tried their olives appetizer, which had half a jar’s-worth of green olives(they don’t taste store-bought; I’m talking about the ample portion) and quite a few kalamata olives. Mmm. Fresh and a perfect starter. They have a wide range of wines that pair well with plenty of dishes; my zin was delicious. I assumed I’d have to go off my gluten-free diet to try it here(I knew I HAD to try it from their rave reviews), but **they have GF macaroni for their lobster mac-and-cheese!** The manager’s daughter is celiac, so they have substitutions for a few menu items. They should advertise that! And the GF dish didn’t skimp on flavor; it was EXCELLENT. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the cheese sauce is real cheese and very rich, the dish is smoky from the nice-sized chunks of bacon they mix inside, and the lobster that came in the tail shell was fresh and already chunked(but I cut it smaller so I’d get the flavors better mixed). My dinner companion had the clams penne pasta with Alfredo sauce, and she loved them! There were almost as many clams as noodles, with small chunks of green onion to spice up and provide a contrast to the rich flavor. I will be back!

«Best burger I’ve ever had!» Coming from my husband, that’s something I’ve never heard come out of his mouth. The ribeye burger was absolutely delicious and you can make it into anything you want: fried egg, avocado, even a lobster tail. We started with the lobster mac n cheese appetizer which was scrumptious. We ordered a side of bread to scoop up all the extra sauce. I had the penne and clams and took the waitresses suggestion and mixed the red and white. Good but needed some seasoning. We loved the place, our waitress Kayla was terrific and the owners Brian and Renee couldn’t have been any nicer. The last Sunday of each month, they host a family style dinner, $ 35 per person and sell out quick. September will be Southern style with fried chicken. Take the time and try it out for yourself– well worth it.

Date night with the wife! We decided to try out Rev’s…WOW!!! We walked in and were greeted promptly and politely. We started with an Amuse of Arancini that was fantastic. Within a few minutes the owners had both come by our table to greet us. We sat with Brian, the Chef/owner for ten minutes then he basically orders for us. Apps– escargot: Oh man… So garlicky and buttery and delicious. Shrimp cocktail: gigantic U8 shrimp. Cocktail sauce is house made and fantastic. Main Course– wife: filet mignon with housemade onion rings — tender steak, great salt crust on the steak with a mesquite smoked butter. Me: diver boat scallops: to die for. Lemon saffron sauce, mmmmm! Dessert: snickers cheeses cake. More please!!! Overall, great place, great food, nice ownership. We’ll be back… soon!!!

REV’S came to mind when planning a birthday dinner night out. I made reservations earlier in the week for the chefs table. Special shout out to Vanessa on the phone for making the reservation process a happy one and answering all of my questions. The service tonight was fantastic, as well as the food– I needed to bump up my previous rating. This time around we ordered a little more to try and we were not disappointed. THEFOOD: Baseball Cut Sirloin with Potatoes and Caramelized Beets. Simply delicious. Sirloin cooked medium as ordered and very juicy. Also, the beets added such brightness and sweetness to the dish, I wish I could order a plate full! Potatoes were masterfully crisp on the outside. Double Cut Pork Steak with Potatoes and Seasonal Veggies. So. Good. So moist, yet packed with flavor. Lobster Mac and Cheese. Presentation alone, beautiful. Not too salty or bland – everything just worked together. Dessert: A Trio including Tiramisu, Strawberry Shortcake, and Snickers Cheesecake. We devoured these desserts. Tiramisu won our hearts over this time– light and creamy.(Though, majority ruled that the snickers is still the best) Once again, a meal that was such a delicate balancing act. Thanks for the great night, revs!
