Vina’s Nails & Spa

So I first went to Vina’s a little over two months ago. I was referred to Annie there. My first appointment? Annie was awesome. She did my nails exactly how I’d wanted them and Annie was very talkative. She asked all about me and my family; she asked me why I left my last manicurist. I told her my manicurist moved and Annie responded with, «oh lucky for me she moved now I have you as my client.» My nails looked great and I was so happy that I had found a great manicurist so fast. I had no cash on me so I couldn’t leave her a cash tip. So I figured I’d just leave her tip on my card when they ran it through. When I went to pay, my card was run through and I wasn’t asked or given the opportunity to leave a tip. They handed me my slip to sign and there was nowhere to add a tip, total was already on the slip. So I figured I’d just double tip her the next time I went in for a fill. So I go three weeks later and wanted a backfill, and Annie said I didn’t need one. Well, that was all she said to me. She was not talkative at all like the first visit. I attempted to have a conversation with her asking her how she was and about the upcoming Christmas holiday, and I just got one word responses from her. No questions toward me or any interest in what I was up to. Meanwhile, she was talking to her co-​workers, of which of course I had no clue what they were saying. When the fill was over, which took her all of 20 minutes and I paid $ 25 for, no clue why as she didn’t even back fill as I had WANTED, she didn’t say anything to me and just handed me my slip to take to the front to pay. My nails looked like SHIT. Three weeks later I decided to give her one more chance. So I went in two Saturdays ago, with my granddaughter who wanted to have her nails painted, and Annie didn’t say ONE word to me after I asked her about the color of acrylic I wanted. The couple of times that I talked to my granddaughter who said a couple of cute things, I looked at Annie to see if there was any reaction so I could maybe start a conversation with her and all I saw was Annie giving my granddaughter a dirty look. After she finished my nails, which again looked like SHIT I might add, she handed me my slip to go pay, got up and walked away without even saying bye or thanks. And the entire appointment she again was just talking to her co-​workers. Clearly she was still pissed because I didn’t tip her the first time. Needless to say I didn’t tip her this time either and have decided to NEVER go back to that shop. If they want customers to tip their manicurists so they won’t be rude to customers, they need to think about allowing the tip to be left on the credit card charge. My nails have never looked so awful. They are all uneven, and have hills and valleys when you look at them from the side. I already started looking for someone good who will just redo them. And my granddaughter’s nails? The next day three already peeled off.

I came here after hearing they do a great job with manis. I went in and got seated immediately (it was a Monday) and they started taking my polish off and soaking my hands before i was offered the book full of colors so I had try and not get the pages wet. The gal I had (I think her name was Vy) spoke 0 English but she was amazing. She was gentle with my hands, gave me what I wanted, and you could tell she was putting effort in. She didn’t talk with the other ladies in the shop that were speaking in their language and which I was pleasantly surprised. 5 days later my mani is still holding up I will definitely be going back.

Just so everyone knows the 5 stars is for Vina’s waxing skills, I will not go to anyone but Vina, good pricing and she always does a great job. I prefer to get my mani and pedis elsewhere but as far as waxing goes she is the best

I have come two times and been turned away both times! I don’t think they really care about business or clients at all. Both times I came after work and both times the «open» light was on. But they would t take any others. With so many other better nail shops, why come here?

AWFUL! I’m in really bad physical pain right now hours after getting a manicure. The technician filed my skin down with that dirty tool they used, put nail glue over it, then continued to put other chemicals on. My fingernails are in a large amount of pain and if it still hurts tomorrow i’ll need to do something about it.

I have been a big fan of Vina’s but today I walked in and was given Linda… Went in for a gel manicure and was under the impression according to their posted pricing, that I’d pay $ 27.00 and ended up paying $ 30.00. Okay… Not the end of the world. I have been growing out my nails for maybe a month or two, just b/​c I prefer the up keep and look… Linda filed my nails down to numbs!!! She couldn’t get the lines to even out with the others so she took short cuts and filed the entire thumb down!
When I asked her to correct it she literally huffed and puffed! Bc her ride was waiting for her. I’m sorry don’t accept my service if you don’t plan to do a good job!
Like I said I’ve been a fan of this place for YEARS!!! But the ppl I’ll continue to see here is on an extremely short list. Poor customer service from Linda. Disappointed…

Vina needs to get out of the business !!!

#2 She yells at employees
#3 She yells at customers
#4 She washes her feet in the pedi-​tubs in front of customers
#5 She lies about the credit card machine not working/​This is so she can pocket cash and not show the money for tax purposes.
#6 She is rude to her co-​owner

Me and 3 girlfriends had an appointment for pedis. Even though it was a busy Sunday morning, we got right in. Henry was my manicurist and he was fantastic. Bottom line, this place is great. Everyone is very friendly. I opted to get the Deluxe pedi for $ 30 and it’s well worry it. Toes looked the best they have ever looked and Henry just took his time and was really sweet and I was totally pampered! I’ll be returning again and again!

Here’s another business I would give zero stars if possible! I have had a couple of visits hoping that it would get better, since I like their reclining chairs – that’s if they are working!
Just all around really rude and horrible customer service! Every time I go there the people assisting me do not talk to me, smile, or make eye contact. Most of the time they are talking another language – which is rude in front of the customer! This time the girl was very much in a hurry. She was very rough with cutting the corners on my nails. It hurt! I paid for a Deluxe Spa Gel Pedi. The massage was very light and 5 minutes or less. It is suppose to be an extended massage. Most places I go to is about 15 minute massage, and most places use a timer. When I said something to her… she just rolled her eyes. She did not put my pants legs down or put on my shoes on. She was just Horrible! Most of the Massage chairs do not work. The first chair I sat in was missing the controller face to know what I was pressing. The second chair squeaked really really loud. They said they just got them fixed. Think they need whole new chairs!!!
This has been a very common situation there. I requested to speak to the Manager. The Manager had been right out front moments earlier. Then suddenly she went home for the day. When I said I would not pay until the manager came out and took some money off… then suddenly the Manager reappeared. The entire time she was cutting me off when I spoke and trying to rush off. They did take off some money. I ended up going to OMG Nail Salon afterwards to do my Mani. Which was totally a 180 degree different service — excellent!

Best gel pedicure. The product they use lasts so long. Everyone is always pleasant. Minus one lady… So I just don’t ever see her again. It’s always busy here, so if you call to schedule an appointment, you must give at least 1 hour notice. There are complimentary bottles of water. The only reason for the ⁴⁄₅ is that it needs a good cleaning to spruce up the place.

Place is pretty busy. It’s hit and miss on the quality of service you get. To put it all into perspective the lady next to me had been there at least 5 minutes before me.. I was directed to sit in a chair and would be helped shortly. I waited about 5 – 10 minutes before the lady came to help me. She then fast tracked the «Deluxe Pedicure». The only time my feet are messed up is during the summer when flip flops are a staple shoe item. :) so it is the only time I get pedicures. She spent maybe two minutes scrubbing my feet, maybe two minutes soaking in the water, and the paraffin stuff came off nearly as quickly as it went on. So, I could have done nearly the same quality on my own… So disappointed. I was done with my feet before the lady next to me was getting the paraffin on. The lady even glanced at my feet again and kin of rubbed the rough spots with her hand and kinda shrugged… So it’s not like she didn’t know.

Sometimes the service is really good and other times I walk out thinking why did I just go there again. They have a lot of gel colors which is the main reason I go there, but I went to get acrylics and had to wait forever because only some of them knew how to do acrylic. Once my nails were done they looked like they had grown for over a week already. I would recommend them for gel but not for acrylic.

I’ve had manicures and pedicures done here. My experience with pedicures has been good. The chairs are super comfy and they do a pretty good job painting. The manicures are a different story. I’ve gotten a fill with gel twice now. The first time was good, she put the nail polish on a little thin, but it looked pretty good. The next time I went, it wasn’t 24 hours before TWO of my nails started chipping!!! I went back and he fixed it for free, but I shouldn’t have to go back to get my nails fixed after having them less than 24 hours! Ridiculous! If you want a pedicure, it’s decent. But if you want a manicure definitely go somewhere else! Probably won’t be going back here again though

It’s unfortunate for me to write this review because this used to be my favorite nail salon in Fresno/​Clovis. I’ve been a loyal customer for years. The service and quality used to be way better. Perhaps it’s because they’ve gotten busier and can’t keep up with demands, or they’ve just gotten lazy.
I get pedicures done here regularly and I’ve seen them get progressively worse with each visit. My toes will chip within 24 hours, which is ridiculous because my toes don’t chip that quickly when I paint them.
The last time I was there, I noticed the nail tech not using base coat and so I mentioned that, and that led to dirty looks and fast chatter in indigenous languages. Doesn’t matter if I can’t understand it, I know it’s about me. Is base coat not trendy anymore? I still use it, guess that makes me outdated.
Needless to say, I’m now back on the market for a new, reliable salon in Fresno/​Clovis. Divorcing Vina’s ASAP.

Worst nail salon I’ve ever been to. Paid for the deluxe, my pedi was done in about 15 min. She didn’t even clean my toenails! The only good thing about this place is the reclining chair but you have to sit uncomfortably straight up they «allow» you sit back. I will never return or recommend this place. I’m SO disappointed. Bella Nails on Herndon & Palm is a QUALITY salon! Great service and great results.

This place was recommended by a friend (we live out of town) so I went for a deluxe pedicure. It was rushed, massage didn’t last long and the exfoliation was terrible. Left there with my big toe feeling a little sore but didn’t think too much of it. 2 days later my toe was swollen, painful and so infected! Needless to say I will NEVER go back and wouldn’t recommend this place at all. The chairs were old and ripped and the place was just dirty looking. I should have walked out but it was recommended by a friend and there were a ton of people in there so I thought I would give it a try. Lesson learned!

Ridiculous. Called ahead to make sure they had availability, yet waited over 45 minutes and still no one helped us. Definitely will not return. Go here if you have a ton of extra time, love waiting, and want to be treated like something off the assembly line.

Very, very mediocre. They have absolutely no regard for the customer and their skills are subpar. I asked for two simple lines on my nails and I walked out with fat blobs of paint on each finger. They cost more than most for quality worse than most. Would not recommend.

Love the relaxing chairs & the price! Delux pedi with the hot wax for $ 30! It’s really convenient the girls are always sweet, & can usually get you in within 10 minutes. I like it a lot more than most other pedicure places. :-)

I loved the pedicure! The chairs lean all the way back and I almost fell asleep! I got the Deluxe pedicure and it was $ 42, well worth the money!
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I called before going in to ask if they did «Gel Builder» nails/​fills, (like acrylic, only with gel). I’m a nurse and can’t wear acrylic, by state regulations. They said they did it, so when I went in I told them what I wanted. I expected that someone would do my nails at the same time as my pedi. At the end of the pedi I mentioned that my nails were to be done and they seemed surprised? Sent me to a mani table and I was so relaxed from the pedi I didn’t notice she did an Acrylic fill! Truthfully, I should have said something but she was ½ through before I noticed.
