Established in 2011.

In 2004, James Benson, Dan Millen, John Myers, Kelly Howard moved out to Lincoln City as a group of artists creating a studio with the mission to share the art of glassblowing with everyone eager to explore it. Lincoln City Glass Center was born…

In 2010 LCGC added a fifth partner Brent Hickenbotham to help open and manage the new facility in Cocoa Beach. CBGA is a 2000 sq. ft. facility with comfortable seating and gallery attached. We are a public access studio, with a variety of instructionals that offer anyone interested a chance to learn and participate in glassblowing.

Our instructors are there to guide you through completion to ensure that all the steps of the process are understood. Everyone gets to pick out their color mix or colors* for the piece selected and each student performs the majority of the actual work, blowing, and shaping of the piece.

Meet the Business Owner

Brent H.

Business Owner

In 1998 Brent became interested in glass and began learning from any of the artists in the area. In 2001 he began a traditional apprenticeship at Blue Sage Studios in Edmond, OK. Under Andy Boatman, Connie Christopher, and a few other craftsman, Brent began his career in glassblowing. In 2005 Brent left glass making full time to design and fabricate glass machinery in Oregon. Under Steve Stadelman at the company, he became the equivalent of an electrical engineer. During those years Brent attended various classes, seminars, and conferences on techniques, glass chemistry, design, and engineering. In 2010 the partners of Lincoln City Glass Center wanted to open another concept in Cocoa Beach, Brent accepted and moved to Florida. Brent along with Jon Myers opened CBGA in February of 2011.
