This is, by far, the best classic bread available north of Acme bakeries in Berkeley. Made without compromise and baked in a wood fired oven(Think wood-fired pizza and classic baguette and croissant bakers in Paris and environs.) Tasty, with a wonderful crumb, and a very very fine and finish crust. Start with the Rustic White just so you will know how far above other — even«artisan» — white bread this loaf is. Then go on to the bakeries other more exotic variations. If you once liked or loved bread, you will fall for it all over again. Worth the trip and the price. You will eat every last crumb. Warning: Don’t toast lest you love it so much you get in your car and drive to the bakery very far out on Cohasset.

I discovered this bread when I visited my relatives in Chico. If I live in or near Chco, then I should be eating this bread everyday. They use the best ingredients and bake with care and love. Thank you for making such a good bread! I will come by again.

This is some of the best bread around… America! The baking team mill all their own grain and bake in a wood fired oven they built themselves. You can find their bread at S&S Produce and Chico Natural Foods and the Chico Farmers’ Market on Saturdays. They make whole grain sweets and amazing baguette among other things. Highly recommended bread.
