Description

Specialties

We make the best ice pops on the planet.

Go-Go Pops are all natural, lightly sweetened (if at all) and we buy our fruit from local farmers as available. We have developed over 70 unique recipes and that number is still growing. On any given day, we will have between 12 and 25 incredible flavors available – some very healthy and some slightly decadent.

We can offer you a completely green coffee experience.

Our fresh-roasted coffee is organic, fair-trade and shade-grown. Our sugar is organic and fair-trade. Our milk is local and organic and our cups are compostable. In fact, from bean to cow to sugar to cup – we are green. We even send our spent coffee grounds and fruit waste to local farmers for compost and feed.

Awesome smoothies from real fruit. Fresh juice bar, including wheatgrass shots. Bubble Teas from organic fair-trade teas and real fruit. Excellent selection of organic, fair-trade coffee, tea and chocolate.

History

Established in 2008.

Go-Go Pops was conceived in the aftermath of the economic meltdown of 2008. After sustaining a direct hit from the accompanying layoffs, the Millers bought ice-pop molds – and an assortment of fruit and juice. Lynn Miller loved frozen grapes as a child so this was familiar territory. It didn’t hurt that she is a professional food stylist and recipe developer or that her husband, Greg, is a former chef. The resulting pops were so good that they decided to try selling them at their local Farmers Market. They sold. So they signed up for more markets. That first year, they did four markets. The second year, eight. The third year they opened a store in Cold Spring. Now, in 2011 Go-Go Pops is making its way into New York City by way of the Park Slope Farmer’s Market.
