History

Established in 2015.

Aperture Photo Ventures is the culmination of many hours of planning and effort by partners Gary Truchelut and John Davis. We want to provide low cost ways for photographers to hone their skills in an enjoyable way by holding educational photography classes, local photo tours and traveling workshops.

Meet the Business Owner

Gary T.

Business Owner

Gary is a self taught nature and wildlife photographer who has had his images published and collected. Gary graduated from the University of Houston in 1971 with a BS degree in biology. For a time, he worked as a field biologist for Harris County Mosquito Control and then bought a garden center and landscape company in Nacogdoches, TX. He and his wife of 46 years retired to Coldspring, TX where they now reside. Gary met John Davis a fellow photographer and they formed a partnership called Aperture Photo Ventures. Gary now spends his time photographing the natural beauty that surrounds him and traveling to beautiful places to lead photographic workshops and tours.
