History

Established in 1995.

Jana Johnston is both the owner and photographer at Jana Johnston Photography. She got her hands on her first camera at the age of 6, following in her mother’s footsteps, she developed a deep love for the artistic form of photography and has worked in the field for more than 20 years.

Business Owner

Jana grew up in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, near Auburn, California. She later moved to Jackson, California where she spent the next 15 years raising her three sons. Jana is now living back in Placer county with her husband Braden (who she first met in 1^st grade) her two beautiful step children, Leah and Blake, her son Beau and his girlfriend Kate, son Dillon and his Fiancé Ashlie and son Austin along with her very first grandchild, Jameson.

Jana’s photography had been published both in print publications as well as online for which she has won multiple awards.

Jana Johnston specializes in natural light photography and outdoor settings. She services the Northern California, The Sierra Nevada Foothills and the Greater Sacramento area including Placer, Nevada, Amador, Eldorado and Calaveras counties.
