RPM Towing

Car was ILLEGALLY towed from a fast food restaurant parking lot in College Park. The guy said we parked and didn't go in the restaurant so he talked to the manager and the manager said tow it. I was in the restaurant for less than 5 minutes and he never came inside. I spoke to the manager and he said the driver lied because he never spoke to him. I went to the tow shop and the driver was very belligerent and disrespectful and said the manager was not telling the truth. I showed him my receipt from the restaurant and he said he didn't care I still had to pay. They basically stole the car and made me pay to get it back

But shoot we forgot to pay for parking! Didn’t realize this until AFTER we played Scrabble and Candyland. Words that were used in Scrabble include «American» (I got a 50 point bonus for using all 7 letters gh), «Yoga,» «Quan,» and «Dittos.» But she redeemed herself in Candyland.

So we’re about to play some other game but I’m reading the instructions and then I’m like, what theeeee we forgot to pay for parking. So I put on my jacket, run outside, look at my car, see there’s no ticket, but shit where did that chink park her car, I could have sworn it was right here, ah fuck alright let me pay for my parking first, and then I can try to find her car again, I turn around, and it’s still not there, alright damn I’ve got to break the news to her haha, so I walk back in, and I’m like «hey baby I’m so sorry, but I don’t see your car out there, not even kidding» (gh because I would fuck with her), so we dip outta there, go to the bank next to the old Ratsie’s, ahhh Capital One isn’t there, alright we hightail it to stamp’s ATM and then head over to RPM towing.
I think it’s like 10:30pm. I give a tour of all the places I used to work and live. I was about to drop her off at this towing place, but it looks sort of sketch so I park and come in with her. GH at the empty vending machines. What the sterility.
On the wall they’ve got a bulletin board about towing strategies. «DO NOT tow in future resident parking.» Hahah so get them to sign the lease and THEN tow their ass.
The dude working there is so fraesh. She’s using her whiny voice like «Ughhh, why’d you have to tow meeeee, couldn’t you have just given me a ticketttttt whaaaaa» But he’s like «Well, it’s better than getting a ticket AND getting towed.» Gh you right!

So she pays and I hold her hand trying to make her feel better and it works. So we drive around to scoop up her car, and then «Linger» by the Cranberries comes on! GOAT. Then I tell her, like yeah, I’ve been meaning to figure out what this song is. So her car is ready to be picked up, alright get out! see ya later! I need to start recording before the song’s over. I want to learn this song on the guitar.
Then the towing dude comes around to my window and while I’m recording the song, he interrupts and starts talking about how nice it was of her to give him 35 $ 5 dollar bills. I lower the volume and he says, «I just told her I was glad she came with all those 5s, because that’s what we always need every day. Like it’s $ 175, they come with 180, and we NEVER have change. And then like they’ve got to go get change they’ve got to go get change, I’m glad, I was telling her, I’m just like ‘ya did a helluva of a job’»

My daughter’s car was towed from Mountain Ridge Apartments on 2÷11÷16 for expired tags. The registration had been renewed 1÷31÷16 but a new license plate sticker hadn’t arrived from the MVA. Nowhere on the temporary registration RECEIPT does it say to display it in the vehicle! RPM charges $ 250 for the tow and $ 75 per day for «storage». This company is a pack of vultures and I plan to sue to get my money back!!! I created a Unilocal account just to post this negative review.

Terrible lower-​class run company. The guy scouted my car out for 4 days then toed it when my meter was a minute over due. Went to go pick up my car, called his establishment disgusting, and he threatened to hit me over the head with a wrench – a wrench. Reported them to the BBB. They never responded to my concern.

My car was towed at Halloween night!!! Cannot believe they had to work this day. Seriously? And they didn’t tow another car which was also parking at a No-​Parking area. Nothing much to say about them. Really efficient. They should work in Post Office or Immegration Department.

If I could give negative stars that is what I would do for this «company» My car was towed today illegally. The «female» on the line lied and said my tags were expired (it was in my glove compartment). I was parked in visitors parking with a visitors pass. My complex was in the process of issuing me my permanent sticker. In order to even get a visitors’ pass, you need to have CURRENT REGISTRATION, which my complex is aware of. I called the police department and the towing authority who both knew my tags (registration) were current. They even called RPM twice and was hung up on! This place is a scam and I am taking my complex and RPM to court until they pay me back my money x10. I ended up late to work and went through so much stress because they do not even have current information with my apartment complex.
Even the liar of a «worker» that was there was unprofessional. They definitely scammed the wrong one and the whole world will know.

Called these guys to help me with my car. Said it would be an hour. Took 3 hours. The driver was rude, smelled like BO and marijuana. He picked up my car, but there are a dozen other companies that could do a better job.

THIS COMPANY DESERVES ZERO STARS…
Very UNPROFESSIONAL and INCONSIDERATE. I guess their motto is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. The «Owner» Darrel is very unprofessional and refuse to be held accountable for this company’s action. They towed my vehicle and scratched up my BRAND NEW bumper and he wants to blame it on me parallel parking, really? The people that answer the phone are the worst, all this company want is MONEY and could care less about anything else. This company was formerly named PME towing but i guess they changed their name due to their BAD Reputation. They refuse to provide my INSURANCE COMPANY with their insurance information… I pray that this company fails just because of the way they treat their customers… what goes around surely will come back around. DO NOT USE THESE ANIMALS.
