University View Student Housing

If I could give University View zero stars I would. As a parent I DO NOT recommend University View for student housing. The apartments are not what they advertise them to be. The bedrooms are extremely small, the furniture is awful, the common areas are run down, and the appliances are horrible. If you need maintenance, well forget it. If you do live here keep a log of all the calls you make to maintenance because I can guarantee that you will be charge for replacements whether it is your fault or not, and they will charge you even if it’s for normal wear. The students in the office aren’t much better than maintenance and are given to much lead way; half the time they don’t even know what they are talking about and will refuse to transfer you to someone that does. In a nutshell, University View is poorly run they are robbing the students blind.

To start off, YOUR ROOM WILL NOT BE THE ONE THEY SHOW YOU, you will most likely get a middle room which always smell atrocious and are positioned awkwardly with a walk in living room, and crappy furniture. If you want the room type they showed you you better get a corner room (which they never mention)
The electric bill is never under the 30 dollar stipend, its always about 60 a month (and that is with my room-​mates and I being skimpy on electricity)
The Internet is horrible. It drops out ever 30 minutes, and when it works it is so slow that you can’t do any homework on it. No matter how much you ask your CA (buildings version of RA’s) to help with the problem, nothing is ever fixed.
The CA’s also stop giving a crap about you about a couple months into your lease. Its like they know you can’t get out of it. Everybody filing complaints on the facebook group was told to quit their bitching, and the passive aggressiveness is ridiculous.
You can hear your neighbours loud and clear every time they play music or talk very loud. It is impossible to sleep on weekends, not just at normal times, but at like 4 am there will always be drunk people yelling, glass breaking, and fights.
Hallways always smell like weed or beer. Holes punched in the walls at the end of every weekend, while exit signs are smashed.
The appliances are complete crap, they charge you for when they break too saying you broke them.
Washer and dryer have problems all the time.
The picture makes the place seem great. Those photos were chosen to be shown off for a reason.
For 900 bucks this place is complete crap, you better try your luck at the varsity or enclave.
