Ordered and picked up pizza in 15 minutes. Accurate estimate of time and probably best pizza in town. Restaurant itself wasn’t that clean, but otherwise great service and excellent food

The pizza here is just okay, I wouldn’t make a point of it to come here for pizza. The price is pretty high too, all things considered. But the pepperoni rolls are pretty good, and that’s probably the main reason why anyone really wants Double Dave’s. However, the place wasn’t very clean and the staff seemed pretty cold. This is really close to the Med Center though, so that’s a bonus.

Fantastic made to order pizza and the options are many. Delicious! The buffet also rocks. They accept VIP cards for free rolls and discounts over buffet pricing.

Ordered pepperoni and hamburger but got pepperoni and mushrooms. Wanted regular crust and got thin. Want be coming back.

I’m a huge fan of Doubledaves. I’m not a huge fan of this Doubledaves.
There is no quality control here. The ovens were way too hot and the pepperoni rolls came out a little raw and very burnt on the outside.
People who care would have never served this.
Very sad.

Some of these other reviews just don’t make sense to me…
I have to believe that these poor experiences are just isolated cases. I choose to believe this as I have been to many locations, many times before.
I have always enjoyed fresh food, fast service (delivery and dine-​in), and great customer service.
The Pepperoni Rolls are awesome! They are always very consistent in quality and everyone I know loves DoubleDave’s famous dish. Their regular pizzas are good, but not unique… I can agree on that. An overlooked dish at DoubleDave’s is their Stromboli. The Stromboli is simply amazing and terribly underrated. My personal favorite is the Philly Cheesesteak version. The Buffet is very convenient and a great option for those wanting to try all they have to offer.
The Atmosphere is about average here. Nothing really stands out… It is a pizza joint. This is okay as the service and pizza always makes up for it. At least it is usually very clean.

My girlfriend worked here for a little bit so I abused their discounts. But, that’s not the real reason why I like this place. The real reason is their Pepperoni rolls man.
Those things are amazing.
As a pizza joint, it’s okay. Nothing special.
I recommend coming here during their buffet specials because its a pretty good deal.

Double Suck …
I tried Double Dave’s for the first time a couple months ago when I had some friends visit from out town. They were big fans for Double Dave’s from their college days. We had them deliver $ 150 worth pizza to feed a lot of folks and everyone loved the pizzas and pepperoni rolls. I was quite impressed.
Unfortunately, that one time was a fluke. I ordered from them again and this time the pizzas were pretty average.
I figured, let’s give it try again when I had folks visiting and this time I decided to pick up the pizzas myself because I wanted to stop off for essentials at Specs in the same strip mall.
They told me that the pies would be ready in 20 minutes. I drove there 30 minutes later and there were no pies ready.
The manager of Double Dave’s told me my pizzas would be ready in another 10 minutes. Right away I got a bad feeling. It was a little strange, the kids working behind the counter were horsing around throwing pieces of dough at each. Nobody seemed to be really working.
After 10 minutes I got up and asked them what the hold up was and that’s when the manager said, «Shit, we forgot to put your order in the oven». Frickin idiots.
I asked for my money back which they promptly refunded with an half-​assed apology.
A smart manager would have offered substitutes from the buffet that they had that no one was eating or tried to make it right in some other way.
Not sure what their deal is, but this is one sad operation.

If you’re in Texas, hungry, and on a budget, this is amazing. If you are not on a budget and not in Texas, this would be 1 star.

Had a horrible experience yesterday from this location.
First off, I have probably eaten here 25+ times in my lifetime.
Almost 80% of the time, I get their «Peproni Rolls,» and they are great!
This time, I called in my order of 24 Peproni Rolls, and was told it would take 25 – 30 minutes. I could deal with that. BUT, when I arrived with a coupon, the lady working the register said, «oh, to use coupons you must tell us over the phone beforehand.» And then she griped, «I’ll just redo the transaction…» I stood there patiently and she re-​entered my order. I paid and went home. –2 stars
When I got home, I opened the boxes and saw that there were only 4 sauces. This is extremely ridiculous. It has always been this way, but it makes no sense! There were four of us eating, and each of us used a marinara/​ranch for 2 Peproni Rolls! So with 16 left, we didn’t have anything to dip them in… –1 star
While eating, the dough seemed extremely chewy. My friends complained about their jaws hurting after they were done. I also thought the dough was too chewy. -.25 star
The worst part was the QUALITY of the Rolls. I opened one up and found probably 4 pepperonis in it. THEY SHOULD BE CALLED BREAD ROLLS!
To charge over a dollar for each one is ridiculous. I’m glad I got mine for 75 cents! -.75 star
I know I got the «Peproni Rolls,» and you could gripe that this is a PIZZA place, but nevertheless, everything should be great! I’m going to stick to homemade pizza rolls and continue preventing my friends from going here.

I love this place, they are great dough slingers. Their buffet is fresh and they take request when you come in for the Buffett.
The employees have good customer service. You get the feeling they have pride in their work.
The place has a nice atmosphere for a pizza joint and is clean.
If I would ever choose an establishment to franchise it would be this place hands down.

Not bad service at all, aside from the fact that the Sysco pizza sucks.
