Terrible experience! Booked the room in Sept. 2014 for a(Thurs-Mon) stay in April 2015(Aggie ring weekend). We knew we’d be checking in late, so I called the hotel on the Thursday morning of the reservation and told the clerk we would be arriving late but to please set aside a decent room for us so we didn’t end up with the last room available. Checked in at 11pm, and was given the worst hotel room I’ve stayed in over 20 years!(It was on the 2nd floor above the lobby, and not renovated in many years!) The Good: –Wifi, TV, etc. worked. –Bathroom shower tile was very nice. The Bad: –Room smelled like chemicals when we checked in. Was also very musty. –NOISY! Loud traffic. Loud A/C unit. Bathroom faucet dripped and dripped and dripped loudly. Plumbing(toilet/shower) was very loud; would hear the plumbing on and off throughout the night. –Room was«basically clean» but not really clean. Definitely needed a major, thorough cleaning throughout. Housekeeper didn’t clean in the corners or under things well. –Furniture is full of knicks. –Carpet was worn; bedspread was torn. –Curved shower rod looks like it was made in someone’s shed; the installation of it was terrible — installed below the previous rod, nails showing, etc. The Bottom Line: Housekeeping didn’t clean our room at all the 3rd night; we had the«Do Not Disturb» sign on the door until noon but then took it off; when we came back later, Housekeeping had left for the day, but«we could come get clean towels if we wanted them.» I insisted that our room be cleaned, as that’s what we were paying for. Clerk called back and said they couldn’t bring in a housecleaner for just one room but would move us to a new room, which I accepted, reluctantly since I had to pack up all of our stuff to move. Interestingly, the new room really was new — newly renovated, much nicer than our previous room. So. .. all in all. .. had the clerk I spoke with Thursday morning simply set aside one of the renovated rooms for us, we would have been happy during our entire 4-day stay instead of just one night. I will NEVEREVERSTAYATTHISHOTELAGAIN, and I suggest that you don’t either.

The weather outsidandnpaintandnpaiandnpaintandandnpar up to 90°, room didn’t warm up at all and it was extremely noisy. Shower was cold water. I called in to advise of the heater and water issue… Before going to sleep and to request a late checkout for extended sleep. I slept well. At 8ish AM, The leaf blower wakes me up! As I’m getting dressed; the room door opens!!!(Someone got a Peep show) … After he gets the thrill, he knocks and yells maintenance. when I call the office they will not help out at all they denied be calling the night before. to complain about the water and the heater and for the late check out… So the question is why did the man come to my door the desk clerk, luis, said that I never called last night. a lot of lying people. The mgr jay vistal yelled at me. he told me I have no rights to be there and that he is calling the police. WiFi very weak!!! The positive is room clean and lady in breakfast area is super nice!!! Breakfast was nice. Apples was the only fruit. Waffles, muffins, breads, cereal, yogurt, fruit drink, milk and coffee. — — — — — —
