Sour Apple Repair

Drop my IPad off on a Friday and was told maybe ready Sunday. Called all day Sunday no answer and mailbox too full to add voicemail. Called all day Monday and finally got someone to answer phone and was told they would check on my IPad and call me back. Never called back!!! Wednesday called again and was told they would text me back and let me know when IPad would be ready… never texted me back!!! Friday I drive to the store and was told they have not even started on my IPad!!! Told them to give back IPad and I will find another store!!! This place is a joke!!!

Great place! Very quick and professional! I got a new tempered glass screen on my phone and now my phone looks even better than the first day I go it! Highly recommended!

This place ROCKS. No joke. I dropped my iphone 5s in the toilet and thought my life ended. My phone ended up functioning fine but the charger stopped working/​it was charging at an insanely slow rate.
I found this place on Unilocal,kinda hidden in the plaza, and I’ll admit, I was hesitant on how legit the place was. I’ve never gone anywhere except Apple to fix my phone. But SO GLAD I CAME HERE. The girl was super nice and friendly. No hidden charges– to change to charge port was $ 54 and comes with a lifetime warranty. Nice. I checked around and this seems to be the standard price to change the port, outside of just buying the part yourself and fixing it, but I ain’t got time for that.
I chilled at the coffee shop next door and they repaired it in about 1.5 hrs.

I had only heard negative reviews about this place until out of desperation I was forced to use it, but I definitely agree with my peers’ evaluations after using them. They repaired my iPhone screen, which broke within 2 weeks of using it (I had a LifeProof™ case and did not drop or place in water) and due to the fact that I went home during the summer, they refused to uphold my warranty, (which I was told would last 1 year, but only lasted 3 months), and said it was my fault and they could do nothing about it. I will never return to Sour Apple, because honestly, I feel as if they are a bunch of crooks. I understand that trying to run a business means making money, but that does not mean scamming your customers.
P. S. If I could post 0 stars, I would.

If possible, GET IT DONE BY APPLE.
Apple will fix it for cheaper AND better.
These guys show up late and have shoddy workmanship.
My iPhone 6’s replacement screen came off the frame of my phone within a week. Blamed it on their manufacturer they claimed to be A++ OEM iPhone screens.
Replacement screen also has a blue tinge to it when it comes to colors. AND contrast has dropped, so all photos look flat.
Very disappointed.

I came here because of good reviews. I paid them to fix my cracked screen on my iPhone 5s. They did a poor job installing a new screen. The screen was popping out which damaged the LCD and made it unusable. I went back and showed them, and they said the only thing they could do is fix it again for a $ 10 discount this time. Ridiculous. They admitted it was their fault but blamed me for not bringing it back soon enough.
I recommend paying the extra $ 50 and getting it professionally done by Apple or your carriers insurance. I wish I would have done that the first time.

Sour Apple fixed my iPhone 4 front screen and back glass and repaired the button… in less than a day. Did it right and the repair has lasted a couple years now. Never got around to writing the 5 star review they deserve until now… the fact that the phone is still my «iPod» after I got a new phone and functions well with heavy use (i’m an
junkie) 2 years later… should earn them 6 stars! Also have heard good feedback from friends I referred there.

If I could leave 0 stars I would, worst customer service ever. I dropped off on Sunday and was told Monday, I called 5 times throughout the day and no answer. I showed up and they said Wednesday, so again on Wednesday I tried to call with no answer. I showed up after work and the two guys there were in the back clowning around, not a big deal since it is in a head shop. I asked if it was ready and the guy said he was really busy and couldn’t get to it. Then he said Thursday or Friday, it’s now Friday at 6… and again they were back in the back joking around doing a bunch of nothing, I asked if it was ready and the guy just said no. At this point I’m pretty angry, I’ve been getting the run around. Really disappointed I told him don’t worry about it, and grabbed it and left. Upon getting home I noticed the casing is now melted, not only is it not fixed they broke it more! Worst ever, even if they are cheap I will pay a little more and go to a professional.
While I was there a girl came to pick up her phone, she had a black iPhone and needed a screen replaced. When she got her phone back it had a white face with a black backplate. The girl was mad but said she didn’t care she just finally wanted her phone. I’m guessing she waited awhile herself.
Prior to all this I was getting an iPad repaired for a client of mine. I was doing it as a favor, and told him I had a repair shop near my house. I took it over there because the battery wouldn’t hold a charge for longer than 30 minutes. They kept it for a week and then called and told me nothing was wrong. They were going to charge $ 100, and I guess they just didn’t feel like doing it. Luckily Apple has a program where you can send in your iPad and for $ 106 including shipping cost they will replace your battery. And now it works! No thanks to the slackers at sour apple. Hope this helps others not to be screwed around.

They did a good job with my iPhone 4. Their repair charge was reasonable considering that the phone is old. The iPhone was repaired and ready as they had promised.

Fantastic customer service. I had a problem with my iPhone 5 being able to charge and since it didn’t cost them anything to fix it, they didn’t charge me. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their phone fixed.

I had my iPad’s glass replaced. The repair was fast, professional, and at a fair price. My iPad is as good as new — actually, better, due to the free screen protector. Minus one star because it was originally promised at 4, but wasn’t ready until after 7. It’s a complicated procedure and would’ve taken me weeks to order the parts and tools and there’s a huge chance of screwing it up, so all issues aside, it’s a huge win.
My only problem was having to walk into a head shop… err, smoke shop to get the repair, and the hours that they’re open. It’d be nice to be able to drop off a device for service or repair in the morning. Have someone to take orders, or some way to drop devices, even if no actual repair is going.
Word is that they’re going to be adding custom laser engraving for the aluminum cases in the near future, which is awesome.

What I love about the guys at Sour Apple Repair, is that they have chill/​friendly customer service, in addition to their superb/​reliable skill at repairs and customization. It’s not just a business for these guys. It’s a passion. I also love the creativity that they put into customizations, and the recommendations they make when I don’t know what specialized service specifically meets my needs. Also, I’ve done the research, and they DO have the best prices in town!

Fast and good service. Repaired my 4s both sides within hours. These guys really know what they’re talking about. They’re a little hard to find though, they share a space with Fatty’s Smoke Shop off of Texas. Will go back if I need anything else iPhone related.
