Definitely will not be back. Five people, five drinks, all of which were not only disgusting, they weren’t even remotely close to being on point. Two iced white mochas, very much like a glass of lightly browned milk. Strawberry smoothie, which want a smoothie, but crushed ice and strawberries, and sugar.(Sadly, this was the best of the bunch.) An Oreo java shake, almost black in the cup, very bland and off tasting. And, an iced white chocolate truffle, so sweet it practically have you an instant headache. Very lax staff, willing to TRY and help, to no avail. Very dirty, old furniture. Looks like they picked it up at a nearby dumpster. I think most of the patrons didn’t even have a drink, just using the Wi-Fi. When we pulled up, a girl was leaving her almost full drink on the ground in the parking lot. Should’ve taken it as a sign. Don’t make the mistake of coming here. It’s not vintage, it’s vile. It’s not delicious, it’s disgusting.

Sweet Eugene’s is hands down my favorite coffee shop in College Station. It’s a required stop when I’m in Aggieland. My go to is the Iced Mocha and an Old Fashion Donut on the side. I would rank Sweet Eugene’s higher based on the drinks and food, but their customer service is questionable at times. My friend had never been to the shop(or Aggieland in years) and instead of apologizing for misunderstanding her order, she was told to «order it this way next time.» I paid for her drink, and she left unhappy.

I think this is really the neatest coffee shop in BCS the artwork and eclectic décor is inviting

I love this place for coffee and crepes but this morning when I ran through the drive-through the guy that was working was very rude and made my friends and I feel very un welcomed. I did not get his name but when going to get your morning coffee you always want someone energetic and bubbly helping you. Not a guy that is making you feel rushed and exclaiming to you that there is a long line behind you(when there was only two cars behind me). I expect better from this place since its been around so long.

I don’t like coffee, but even I can tell that their drinks have way too much syrup and milk. I’ve been here four times and gotten a different drink each time. I know a latte has a lot of milk, but all I can taste in the flavoured drinks is a hint of syrup and milk. The drinks I’ve had have so much milk that I would guess 2⁄3 of the cup is milk. Also the crêpes are not worth the money. They are ok, but I’d prefer to make it at home. On the plus side, there are many seats to study in. Some of the couches are quite comfy. Wifi can be pretty slow or hard to connect to if it’s crowded though.

Every college town should have a place like Sweet Eugene’s. It is basically a dive-y coffee shop with lots of space and comfortable little nooks where people can hang out for hours. The food is great(we ordered a GIANT piece of chocolate cake which was divine, and also a wonderful crêpe), and the coffee is fine. We were only there for about 20 minutes(We eat cake fast. It’s not pretty.), so did not take the time to check out all the fun stuff Sweet Eugene’s has to offer.

Coffee was great. We ended up going 3 times in 2 days on our trip to town. Appreciate the milk alternatives. I had wonderful flavored coffee. Sister has almond milk lattes, she tried three different ones and liked them all. Atmosphere was cozy. On Saturday there wasn’t a seat to be found on a rainy day.

Their coffee is too sugary and sweet. You can’t even taste the coffee. I’m also not a huge fan of sitting on dusty old lady furniture

I’ve been to a few coffee shops before, but this coffee shop is something else! The vibe is so unique and I loved all the décor and especially the little study room in the back corner. I wish I could have stayed longer, but we stopped there to get some coffee before our trip back to Dallas. The Iced Mo-kolada was perfect! Try it!

I love the eclectic vibe there. The coffee was great, the desserts were good, and the service was friendly. The food was good, nothing I would crave, but I will definitely go back for the atmosphere & coffee!

Easily the best coffee joint in College Station, but that’s not exactly saying much. Sweet Eugene’s has a trendy, chill vibe that’s more reminiscent of Austin than College Station. The place is usually pretty filled and parking out front can be a pain. The staff is young and friendly and the coffee is good, but nothing terribly special. Sweet Eugene’s is perfect if you’re in college and looking for a place to study or even meet some other coffee lovers. The Nutella crêpe on the menu ain’t half bad either.

I have been coming here for the past 7 years and I fell in love with the place every single time I walked in. Their coffee is really good for a college town and they have a variety of options for food as well. The ambience is really good. It gets a little too loud to sit and work sometimes but its a nice place to hangout with friends.

This is THE coffee shop to go to. It looks like it has been taken out of a movie. It’s eclectic, trendy, cozy, and filled with hip looking students. I went there a few times in college to meet up with group members, but finding a seat is near impossible! They do have outside seating but it’s a pretty small area. The coffee is great and the donuts are good. I’ve had better, but I’ve had worse. If you live in College Station, you have to visit this place at least once.

So this joint is literally straight out of a Disney TV show coffee shop… literally one the COOLEST coffee joints I’ve ever seen in my life. The staff is friendly and whenever there are lines these people PUMP out the espresso and mixed drink selections quickly. There is usually no parking near here and is usually always packed with people. The wifi is fast and there is a lot of seating, and the theme here is epic. I would shoot a TV Show out of this place. Gluten-Free snacks for the win! Serisouly though, get the Mookalada with almond milk, this is the best drink in the entire world. K Thx.

Why isn’t this place expanding to Houston? What a classic spot. Super cool spot to hang out, study, work, or meet up for a date. There are many options here. Honestly, their coffee is pretty good and so are the lattes. Food wise, I like the blueberry muffin and croissant. Be sure to get them warmed up. The atmosphere here is the winner. How often do you get to see a giant freaking knight suit of armor in the shop? So cool. Magazines and games are in the fridge too! Winning! Parking is easy. Plenty of spots. Service is pretty friendly.

Fun place. A nice, casual coffee and dessert/donut place with comfy, but nicely-worn chairs and without the trying-too-hard funkiness of some caffeine establishments. Plenty of room to settle in, and good coffee(with an admittedly small sample size at this point). Give it a try…

Between Mugwalls and Sweet Eugene’s, I’m going to have to go with Mugwalls. Saying that, I’m going to also mention that both these coffee shops are definitely not my favorites – in all of Texas. However, there’s really only so much to compare to in CStat. First off, I’m going to list the pros: TONS of seats although weirdly sized tables so if you have a lot of books, you better hope you’re lucky enough to get the best sized table. The service is awesome – I’ve only been twice, but each time, the baristas have been super sweet and so great to talk to. On to everything else: To name what I’ve tasted: an iced vanilla latte, an iced mokalada(I have no idea if I spelled that right), an iced toffee nut latte, and a white peppermint mocha. What had been recommended was the toffee and the mokalada – hot or iced. I didn’t like any of them, which is extremely sad to have tried so many drinks and still think they’re not great in any way. Maybe I need to start trying hot drinks or something or just regular drinks because their iced specialties felt so off. To start with, the iced coffee – lattes, any kind of lattes, should have espresso as the base. What’s in my drink, and I say this because I saw them make my drink, is cold brewed coffee that tastes extremely watered down. What cold brew should be in: regular iced coffee. What cold brew should not be in: iced lattes. There is a difference. I think all coffee shops should know that. An iced vanilla latte is honestly one of the more basic drinks, so I was really surprised when even that was ruined. And on top of that, when I asked for an extra shot of espresso, they pulled out a refrigerated pitcher of iced coffee and poured a «shot» into my cup. Excuse me, do you KNOW what a shot of espresso even is?! I don’t know if all of the iced specialties were made like how the vanilla latte was made. However, each drink tasted like watered down coffee with lots of syrup of whatever kind and tons of milk. It didn’t taste like coffee, and it sure did not taste like espresso. Maybe I need to try their specialties hot – maybe. Also, any coffee shop that focuses on so many specialties doesn’t seem to actually care about the coffee – only the syrup that hides all the flavor. To me, this shows their lack of care in brewing a good cup of coffee. Or maybe I need to try a plain black cup of coffee to see what I’m missing here. So next time I’m in CStat, I’ll do that. And maybe I’ll try their food too and be able to give a better, nicer review. But as of right now, Sweet Eugene’s is definitely one of my least favorite coffee shops. To be more frank – their coffee does not taste like coffee, their lattes are not lattes, and the only reason I ever plan to come back is to see if their regular, straight up black, hot coffees are good without all that extra sha-bang they add into their specialties.

While I wouldn’t call this place a coffee shop specifically, they do have coke decent coffee.(That’s assuming you’re one of those people who like milk/sugar in their cup). If you’re not sure what to grab, I would definitely get the Sweet Eugene’s Cappuccino. It’s a normal cappuccino with a hint of brown sugar and cinnamon. Although they said that’s the only stuff they put into their coffee, I felt like it had a hint of maple syrup too? Probs just the flavor. Anyways, they do make a decent cappuccino you should definitely try while you’re here. I did notice that there were tons of tables — definitely a great place to study or catch up with friends. I’ll be back soon!
