I called at 858pm to see if they closed at 9 or 10pm. The girl told me 10pm. I headed over to get my weekly quart and arrived at 928pm to find the open sign off, doors locked, all non refrigerated items covered in plastic. I knocked on the door to ask why they closed as another customer arrived to also get ice cream. The girl said her manager called after I did and said if no one is there to close. She likely did not tell her manager that someone called making sure they were open. I will find a new ice cream store.

This is the worst Marble slab in the metroplex. They always have a long wait because they never have enough people serving. Always run by teenagers who are very unprofessional. Took a birthday cake order and called less than one day before pick up time to say they couldn’t do the cake. Called owner who did nothing to rectify the situation.

Great ice cream. You can taste the fat in it, which is a good thing. I’ve loved this place since I was a kid it. It was always the Cadillac of ice cream. 4 star because of the price.

Honestly the worst imaginable service. Waited 30 minutes for ice cream when we had two people in front of us. Desperately needs new management.

Came in on Saturday night with my mom, only 2 employees working and one of the two employees had no clue what she was doing. The worker had to ask the customer what’s in rocky road ice cream… Like seriously? Extremely slow service for not great ice cream. I suggest going anywhere else.

Service was really slow, the ice cream was partially melted, and the mix ins weren’t well mixed. The banana I had mixed in was still in huge hunks and not blended in.

They don’t have high chairs!!! What the heck kind of place doesn’t have high chairs!!! I had to go to the car and get the stroller. And not that it really mattered to us, but whatever happened to the whole marble slab presentation that they used to do? Good ice cream but the no high chair thing has me baffled.

It’s a Saturday night and there is only two employees working. Both were trying to make orders but one employee seemed new and neither had a sense or urgency. It was the slowest service I’ve ever had in my life. Then they weighed all the ice cream which took forever and I have never seen any other marble slab do this. I got my melted half cup of ice cream for $ 4.32 and it took 20 minutes. They had to weigh, then go get more ice cream, weigh again, put some back. It was terrible. I will never return. Other people in line were also very unhappy with the weighing of ice cream and also made comments how they have never been to an ice cream shop that does.

I love Marble Slab but the wait at this location is always ridiculously long. During the busy season the owners should mirror their staff with the influx of business. Most of the time I just leave. It’s not just about the product but also the service. The demand is obviously there so why not make the visit a good one for your customers.

What’s that? You’ve never tried Marble Slab?! GETOUT! Stop whatever you’re doing and go get yoself a Sweet Cream Cup Bowl! You’ll thank me later! But seriously, I LOVE this place compared to the other big boxed places. Do you REALLY want to hear a grown adult sing a parody of a Justin Beiber song about ice-cream whenever you tip them? I’m pretty sure that’s legally insane. Just go here. It feels like a smaller less corporate version of Coldstone. I just like them better.

We stop by when we want sweet cream mixed with Oreos. The last few times we have been greeted by great service and yummy ice cream goodness so I’m not sure why the bad reviews for service. Any who, I’m an ice cream addict and get my fix here a few times a month. They even have some bogo coupons in the Entertainment Passbook.

This place would get more customers if it wasn’t hidden! We like going here. Although, this time my friend got the sweet cream and strawberry. There was very little strawberries and it wasn’t mixed in really well. Felt like the worker just rushed her order. I ordered the low fat vanilla yogurt with pecan and it was good. The worker really mixed mine up. Wish she did that to the others in the group. We did enjoy our dessert though:)

I am in love with this Marble Slab. Everyone that works here is awesome, super nice and friendly. Everything is made fresh(which is why people always see the workers coming from the back!) and tastes delicious. I am never disappointed when I come here. I try to avoid evenings and weekends(it is an ice cream shop, and gets pretty busy) but would deal with a crowd to get some birthday cake ice cream!

I ordered a cake in advance so I could get exactly what I needed. When I went to pick it up, not only did they make me wait 30 minutes, but they did not bother to make my cake! Don’t worry, they sold me a smaller cake which was similar but at FULLPRICE! I asked the manager to call me to discuss what happened. 2 weeks later… no call. Customer service?

Stopped in for a cool milkshake on a hot summer afternoon. I ordered a bananas foster shake. It cost ever $ 6 and was more milk than shake. It was watery and barely cold. Won’t be going back here.

Worst service ever. Look — it’s Marble Slab. .. you’re going to wait. But on a Wednesday night with two 12 year olds behind the counter and one customer who orders 3 things. Both employees are helping her and there is a line of 6 other customers waiting. We waited 20 minutes before we left without ordering anything. Milwaukee Joe’s is a mile away. I’ll never go to this location again.

Update: We visited the other day and the owners apparently replaced the texting youth(at least for this visit), the service was stellar and the ice cream was still good So I am adding one star The employees are«pleasant», interested more in going to the back room than dealing with customers. I have noticed this the last 4 or 5 times I have been in. Otherwise the ice cream and treats are darn good! I am thinking after that last visit with three people falling all over themselves to get rid of the customers mid afernoon. It would be money better spent heading over to Albertsons across the parking lot, buying a half gallon of Blue Bell and throwing away the portion not consumed. After all, ice cream is a treat but for 7 bucks a cone the people working there better be pretty darn nice.

I have been back to check out the«New Ownership» and it was a certainly a better experience than under the previous régime. The two young ladies working were certainly friendly, albeit a bit clinical in the measurement of toppings. My OCD also prevented me from understanding the strategy they employ to select the«next» customer during our visit. But, overall definitely better. I will probably go back and those that were scared of the previous owners should give it a try…

New owners, new attitude, the Slab is BACK!!! Marble Slap was our favorite ice cream until we got fed up with the OLD owner. Well, the new owners — a husband and wife team — are a breath of fresh air. Combine their great and welcoming attitude with the always great Marble Slab experience and you have a winner. The review written 10÷21÷09 was accurate as to the OLD owner. They new owners have cleaned up, brightened up, and everything is tip top. Head on back to Marble Slab — yum yum happy happy.
