the best thai food in the area, and probably in the top 3 of best thai food i’ve ever had. the restaurant is super small [4−5 tables if that] and music themed which is awesome. great lunch specials, the spicy chicken fried rice is insanely delicious and has a perfect amount of heat. good dumplings & wings. the fried shrimp was really good too. large portions, good service… i will definitely be returning!

SOGOOD! get thai food here!!! this is a small place but worth a visit. limited parking and check the hours before you go. Be prepared to get take out if there is no seating available. The owner appeared to be running the whole place himself which was impressive considering he also had time to catch up with us. Friendly guy!

Best Thai food! Always great food and service. The peanut sauce is amazing and definitely try the dumplings with the chili sauce for appetizer. The spicy fried rice, ginger chicken, chicken with basil and chili and the pad Thai are all really amazing dishes.

I always get a Pad Thai. It never fails here. The salad is sooo delicious. And this place is affordable! It’s a small hole in the wall, but the service and food make it a worthy stop. The rice as well. Most places will use cheap rice. This place has the tastiest white rice I’ve ever had.

Went for the first time for dinner tonight. I had heard about it. I was warned to get there early as it is a very small place. I was glad I listened there were 5 small tables… each only with 2 seats. Not a place meant for large groups by any means. Décor is very cute… the walls are covered with vintage records(thus the name Thai House Rock) it is very clean it is all made to order so be prepared to wait but it is worth it. We started off with spring rolls and chicken nuggets… next time I would pass on these. The spring rolls were overcooked. I didn’t taste the Nuggets but hubby said they were okay. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai… hubby ordered(spicy) chicken fried rice. It was the absolute best pad Thai I have ever had. The flavor was perfect. The portion size was generous. I tasted my husband’s fried rice… again best fried rice ever. I would highly recommend. Skip the appetizer though. Save your appetite for the main course. I did hear the soups were delicious. I wish I would have skipped the appetizers and ordered the soup instead. Next time that’s the plan. I took away 1 star for the mediocre appetizers otherwise it would have received 5 stars from me hands down. I will go back again and again and again. A must try!!!

This hole-in-the-wall is a longtime hidden treasure. The place has been serving authentic Thai cooking for over 10 years. Tucked away in a tiny strip mall,(if you could even call it that) blocked by the neighboring shrub fencing, Thai House Rock isn’t only fun to say out loud, but it’s also a joint that serves up your next level Pad Thai. Furthermore, this pint-sized restaurant is ironically home to best Chicken Rama around. Try to leave your first-world-suburban-Thai Restaurant experiences at the front door. In Jersey, this place is the closes thing you’ll get from eating at a side street restaurant in Bangkok… or have your very own Thai mother.

Love their Pad Thai dish, the best Thai food in the area. Each meal is fresh and made-to-order.

So, it took me a year to finally eat here because they have the craziest opening hours. And then besides their posed hours, it seems like they close whenever they feel like it. But I finally made it and OMG! It was worth the wait. Very tasty! Great price! I wouldn’t eat there since the space is lacking well… space. But great for takeout. Would definitely recommend!

Tiny, fantastic, local gem! I’m not even sure what to say? Best Thai in NJ? Yes. Quirky and might annoy some? Yes. This place is run by a husband and wife team, that’s it and everything is made from scratch so be prepared for a slow paced meal. Most tables are for two and there is one four top, *sometimes* you cans squeeze two tables together if you catch them. They open at 5 and tables are filled by 5:10 so get there early or time it for the second wave. They also do take away, but call way before you are hungry! That being said, it’s worth it! Suggestions: Spring rolls Spicy Glass Noodle Rama chicken Green Curry chicken More garlic shrimp Enjoy!

Literally the best and I’m obsessed with Thai. Pricing is a lil high but I don’t mind because the flavors are awesome. Spicy actually means spicy here. And the owner is personable and sweet. Must try — spicy noodles

We stopped in this evening but noticed they did not have a height chair for my son so we decided to get the food to go. We were informed that it would be over an hour for the food. I asked if we had eaten here would it have been over an hour and was told«yes I only have one cook.» Will not be back here. Reviews look good but nothing is worth an hour wait dinning in.

Probably the best Thai I’ve had in New Jersey. Good strong spicy flavors. There’s a long wait for take out, but it’s worth every minute. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve driven past here countless times and it was always on my to-do list of places to try, especially because my husband and I are in love with Thai food and are always looking to try somewhere new. We finally ended up here because our regular Thai place was closed and we were craving Thai. It’s a tiny hole in the wall place, nothing special to look at, but I find that sometimes those types of places have the best food. We walked inside and took a seat at the one empty table out of four. One of the walls is covered in old records, hence the name«Thai House Rock.» The waiter came over after a few minutes and handed us menus– which are in old record covers. I ordered the chicken peanut sauce dish and a soup. The soup was delicious — better than my other favorite place’s — which is saying a lot. Husband ordered egg rolls and those were disappointing. They were kinda gross. The main meals, however, were great, and rivaled our favorite standby in flavor. Husband had the spicy fried rice and loved it. My chicken peanut sauce meal was also great. Overall, this was a good experience(minus the egg rolls.. please skip!) and we’d be happy to return in the future.

Absolutely exceptional. Can’t say enough good things about this little hole in the wall. I’ve tried a dozen different Thai restaurants, and this one is by far the most authentic. I’m there at least once a week. Each meal is fresh and made-to-order, and the owner is a great guy who takes the utmost care in preparing every dish. The coconut soup is unbelievable; it has the perfect amounts of heat, sweetness, and flavor, and surpasses any other coconut soup I’ve ever tried by a mile. The Rama chicken is to die for. 100% must have. The pad Thai and crispy ginger chicken are amazing as well. Call and check if he’s open in advance. The hours are sporadic; the restaurant closes for lunch on different times on different days.

A friend who hands down would give this place a 100 out 10 brought me here. He’s weirdly obsessed with it and claims it is the best thai food he’s ever had! However, I’m a vegetarian and there was only 3 – 4 options for me that were pure vegetarian. I told the man who was serving us that I don’t want fish sauce, oyster sauce or egg in my food and he told me what I could get that was vegetarian friendly. The menu was already very limited. I got the eggplant with tofu, it was probably a 2.5 out of 5 on the taste scale and a decent sized quantity. Overall I would give this place a 4 because the guy was so so so nice to me! And as I mentioned my friend loves this place. Even though it’s not that vegetarian friendly, it seems like a lot of people really like the food this place has to offer and it truly is a hidden gem. Check it out sometime!
