I trust these guys implicitly. From my first visit on, it has felt like dropping my vehicle off with a friend. They are honest and incredibly reliable. A personable staff that is willing to work for you and address any issue. Pricing is honest and accurate with a workmanship and work ethic unparalleled in auto service care. They know their work and can diagnose any issue in a timely manner. I wouldn’t take my vehicle anywhere else.

These guys were able to solve a car «mystery» that even the dealership was unable to solve. Their price estimate was accurate and their communication was good during the process. When we got into some expensive repairs, they even waived the cost of the diagnostic fee, which was greatly appreciated. I was extremely impressed with not only their ability to problem solve a difficult situation, but also their personal investment in achieving a resolution. They hung in there long after other mechanics would’ve just said «sell it» and move on.

We were on a cross America trip in our Westfalia van and pulled in to have them check up on our Subaru engine conversion before crossing the mountains heading west. Not only were they very professional, but they have a real family vibe among the employees and are some of the nicest people we have met anywhere.
They checked over the engine and found it to be in perfect running order, which they didn’t charge us for as it fell within their free 20 minute checkup service. Can’t recommend them more!

Brought my car in to get fixed but for some reason when they returned the car back i can still hear loose parts. I feel like they didnt spend time on the car to fix it to the best. And basically i should have spent more on another place.

Found these guys here on Unilocal and based on previous reviews decided to ask them for help. I’m in California and was interested in a Jeep being sold by a dealership local to Colorado Springs. I gave Guillermo a call and he made time to take a look at it the same day. He gave me a call back and gave me his honest opinion of the vehicle (which I didn’t end up buying!) and – here’s the part that surprised me most – didn’t charge me a cent for the service. Part of me hopes I have a car break down in Co Springs at some point just so I can give them some business!

My husband raves about this auto shop! He says they are thorough and honest and that you get your money’s worth. I wish I had been taking my car to them instead of the dealership. Highly recommended!

Founding Fathers is the only place I trust in CS with my car. I had an ’05 Subaru XT and Mark, Jim, and Guillermo were incredibly helpful with everything. After a few small repairs and fixes, prices were adding up and they gave me wise — though not short term business-​wise — advice for me to consider trading it in. I did end up trading it in and saved money in the long run, all because they care about the customer. Of course, they’re a business so they’re goal is to make money, but not at the expensive at loyalty or integrity: they understand that good (no, excellent!) customer service will pay off in the long run. They will tell you how it is and do the best to take care of you and your car: I can’t recommend them enough.
They are amazing: have a car issue? Go talk to them. Even though I have a new car, I will continue bringing them beer and snacks for being THAT awesome.

The mechanic is very honest and helpful. They know what they are doing! You never have to worry about being ripped off or cheated. The owner is friendly and we take all of our cars here!

Took my VW Passat here to have my brakes replaced and was really pleased. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and honest. They will be fair and up front about the work needed on your vehicle. Sometimes, as a woman, I get nervous about taking my car in to a shop because I am not very knowledgeable about the mechanics of my vehicle. At Founding Fathers the staff were not belittling and never made me feel like I could not trust what they were doing. I will definitely take my car back here again.
