I received a certificate as a gift for this place, which is the only reason I called them. The certificate was for two hours of work and then I had to pay for a third hour. They were well aware of what I wanted them to do and they said they would do it. I had two piles of cut branches that I wanted them to haul away. Both piles would not have completely filled the back of their pick up truck. When they arrived (two men) they told me that it would be «too much work» for them to do. They said that, since one pile was in my back yard, they would have to charge me an extra $ 70 to walk to their truck with the branches. Also, there were «a bunch of toys they would have to walk around.» There were three plastic ride-​on cars that my kids play with on the side of the house that would have taken ten seconds to move aside. They were rude, sarcastic, and obviously lazy. I do not recommend this company.

While I appreciate someone tending to my tenant’s water heater issue on a weekend, I have an issue with 5+ hours of troubleshooting (capping issue) that was a wrong diagnosis. After he returned from Home Depot, it was found that the water heater still leaked. I authorized the new water heater install and received the new invoice. I asked if there was a military discount and was told no. New invoice listed 5.75 hours of troubleshooting and 5 hours for water heater installation. My water heater is easily accessible, so I was surprised on how much time it took. I contacted my tenant and he said the repairman was there was there for awhile but that normally they roll some of the troubleshooting expenses into the install.
I discussed this with the repairman and he would not budge. I then gave him my credit card number to process the $ 873.22 bill (labor). The water heater was already paid for. After giving Mario my number he said his bank charges a 3% fee for credit card use. I said I was only going to pay what was on the invoice. He then put me on hold for a few minutes and then returned saying that the extra fee was $ 30. I said 3% of $ 873.22 was $ 26.91 and I was not going to pay it. He sighed and then said that he would eat the taxes etc. Yeah, you do that.
I know I was in a crunch and wanted to take care of my tenants. Found this person/​service on Craigslist and while he was able to accommodate a weekend repair, I felt he worked hard on making sure he squeezed every nickel out of me.
Lesson learned. Get a home warranty. Happy holidays!
