History

Established in 2006.

Greg Swartz, President of Swartz Electric started the company in March 2006. His desire to start a company that was based on integrity, honesty, and professionalism drove him to branch out and begin Swartz Electric. Since then, Swartz Electric has grown from just Greg to several team members. The company is focused on Service Workand performs this style in an exemplary manner.

Swartz Electric is a Colorado Licensed Electrical Contractor authorized to work throughout Colorado. In addition, Swartz Electric is registered with multiple building departments and cities throughout Colorado. Swartz Electric carries umbrella, general, liability, automotive, and workers compensation insurances. Please see our qualifications page for more information.

One of our goals is to be the best service electrical contractor in Colorado Springs. We desire to have our company as the most sought after company for service projects and we desire to have the best team members work with us.

Greg S.

Business Owner

Greg started Swartz Electric, and is working tirelessly in developing Swartz Electric to follow the ideals of integrity, honesty, and professionalism. Greg started working with electrical in 1991 in the Marine Corps. He was an Electrical Equipment Repair Specialist and an Electrician. In 2000, Greg joined the civilian ranks and started working in Colorado. In 2001, he became a Colorado Licensed Journeyman Electrician, and in 2005 he became a Colorado Licensed Master Electrician. In 2006, Greg petitioned the state of Colorado and became a Colorado Licensed Electrical Contractor and started Swartz Electric. Greg has performed electrical installations in the states of North Carolina, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado; and in the countries of Kuwait, Thailand, Japan, and Mexico. In 2008, after many years study, Greg completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Greg gives back to Colorado Springs by serving as a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador

Absolutely the best around. We needed new utility lights installed in the garage but worried about overloading the circuit box. Greg (the owner) recommended good but inexpensive LED fixtures. John and Keith came out and did the job. The project came out even better than we expected. We will definitely call them again.

Now this is a company with Excellent customer service, they are not about all about just coming and charge you for even a small thing, i tried to email them with my issue, the owner try to help me by email and give me steps to do it my self to see if i could solve it without them coming over and it works!!! they even follow up the next day to make sure that their suggestions is works. I m very happy with the service provided.

Great company. I called for an estimate and Greg the owner came out and priced a few projects I wanted done. Joe and heath were my technicians. They were early, professional and friendly. They finished the job early and answered any questions I had. I will be using them again for other projects or any problem I have.

Okay here is the deal. After reading all of the reviews here I honestly wasn’t sure if they were legit or not, because who in the heck has so many 5 star ratings!!! I have to say they are legit, at least in my experience they were. I called on a weekend and the Electrician I talked to explained to me what he thought was the issue and how much it would cost for an emergency visit and that he personally would wait until a work day to get it looked at. So on monday since he had a cancellation he came out and tested everything in my electrical panel and including all of my outlets. It ended up being something that was wrong on the Utilities side but they won’t come out and service it unless he did his checks first. He was done within the hour, courteous and informative. We couldn’t have asked for anything else.
So they are legit as it comes. Thanks Swartz Electric, you are on my list of one of the good guys!!!

These guys are super competent. Best electricians I have every worked with. I bought a house that had been wired by the owner. Main panel was a total disaster. Swartz rewired it, and it passed code inspection! Robert Stanley is the best – you might want to ask for him by name. He also added some electrical outlets, and I am amazed at his skill at fishing wires through the walls – no surface conduit at all! Super punctual and reliable; Robert worked at my house until 8:00pm to get the job done. I’d give them six stars if I could.

I already posted this review, but I forgot the stars — so here it is with all the stars:
These guys are the BEST in town. My husband and I have worked in this city for over 20 years in apartment management. We have been through many electricians. Then we found these guys. They know what they are doing. They do it right the first time. And, they do it for a good price. They cross their T’s and dot their I’s and go above and beyond to complete the job. And — they do it with a high level of professionalism.

I called to have Swartz visit my town home in Manitou — some exterior lights and all exterior sockets were not getting power. After checking GFIs and the panel circuit breakers, I’d let the problem go more than a year… Then I figured I’d bite the bullet and pay a professional. After looking at Unilocal reviews, I called Swartz Electric and left a message — and I got a call back within 30 minutes. (cool).
The person calling me back — Mai? Diane? (sorry)… suggested that I made sure to test ALL GFIs and try the breakers again. And if the problem persisted, she would be happy to schedule a visit.
I did as instructed, finding a GFI outlet that I didn’t know existed (in the mechanical room, behind some boxes), which, of course, was the one causing the problem — I just needed to reset it.
I called Swartz Electric back to thank them, and said they’d be my first call if I had a REAL problem. Nice folks.

I called Swartz Electric to add a few circuits to my basement. They provided a clear, concise quote and the price was reasonable and in the same ballpark as other quotes.
I chose them based on three factors:
1. The informative and thorough explanation of the scope of work while preparing the quote
2. Their interest in doing the job correctly and to the letter of city code.
3. Their Unilocal rating.
I was not disappointed. We just had the city inspection today and the work passed without any issue.

I had a standard four prong electric outlet that wasn’t receiving power. I’m a 53 yr. old mechanical guy who likes to solve problems, and this little gem consumed my mind for weeks.
I called Shwartz and Diane answered.
I thought: «Girl Receptionist, what does she know?» She talked me through the problem and now it’s working again.
I’m so humbled and grateful.

I highly recommended Shwartz electric. They are professional, hard working, honest and fair. The electrician worked quickly and presented the options along with his expert opinion. He was pleasant and friendly AND he wore booties to protect my carpet which I really appreciated! They really care about customer service which is hard to find in some companies.

I saw one of those ads in a local circular for an electrian in my area and had seen other advertising for the same electrician (not Swartz). The ad came with a coupon so I thought I would give them a call for a quote on a simple install of an outlet in my unfinished basement with about 30 feet to my main panel. A pretty simple job that wouldn’t take more than a couple of hours to complete. I had a price in my mind of what I thought was fair for the work that was needed, having worked with electricians in the past on similar projects. The electrician was very professional and prompt, but when he told me his price to do the job, I was blown away. He was 3 – 4 times higher than what I thought it would cost and when I said I had to think about it, he charged me for his time to give the quote. I felt really frustrated and confused — these guys had promised such great pricing. That’s when I decided to do some more research. I had Greg from Swartz electric out to a different house of mine a year earlier to give me a quote on some work I was interested in having done at the time. Do to some out-​of-​my control circumstances, I did not do the work at all with anyone, but I remembered how Greg handled himself; professional, courteous, straight-​forward, and I remembered feeling like he was someone who knew what he was doing and I could trust his work, so I called him for this project. He told me what he thought the work entailed and how I could go to Home Depot to get some basic tools and parts to save some money on the install cost. I agreed and within days Heath showed up on time (he even called me to tell me he was on his way before the appt.) and began his work. I could tell right away that he wasn’t one to milk the clock on me. He hustled, knew from a quick glance what work was needed to be done, and was great at communicating his work, as well as asking me how I wanted certain things. I know I am a bit picky at some of the asthetics, but Heath was patient and understanding and accomodated my every request. He finished his work so quickly that I requested he take a look at something else while he was there and he had no problems with doing that. Even after spending an additional 30 min. on the second project, all-​in-​all, he was still a third of the price for his time than I had been quoted by the other company and his work was clean, professional looking, and works great. I even got some free advice on some other matters and am considering hiring Heath & Swartz Electric back for some additonal projects in the future. Thanks to Swartz Electric for your honesty and fairness; and, a special thank you to Heath for your hard work, swiftness, professionalism, and patience. I will definitely use you again in the near future.

Had 2 companies give us an estimate on a hottub job, Swartz quotes 1300 and Fountain Electric quoted 800. Swartz also made us feel uncomfortable when they told us were not allowed to show his quote to the competitor. What? That’s the whole point of gettin multiple quotes, to compete and get a better price! Weird.

We called Swartz Electric for a problem that happened Thanksgiving morning (of course, always a holiday snafu!). We had no microwave, no kitchen lights, no living room lights… ahhhh!
Greg came out the following Tuesday (they could have come sooner, it was our schedules that did not allow).
Greg could not have been more polite and considerate, even taking the time to put on booties before coming in. His work was very meticulous and methodical. Our problem just so happened to require another call.
The second time a gentleman by the name of Robert came out. He was just as polite, considerate, meticulous, and methodical.
Between them both they solved our problem and the price was reasonable.
I won’t hesitate to call them again for any electrical needs.
