I’ve been to 3 of the 4 current Colorado Springs locations. They are all about the same as far as the food goes. It’s Mexican fast food, what more do you expect? It is better than Taco Bell and Del Taco in that everything is made fresh. The best part is the salsa bar. While it is usually messy if you come during lunch or dinner rush, the fresh salsa is really good. What can I say, most people are sloppy. The meat is not as greasy as the other taco places, which is why I prefer this place to the others. I wish they put more tomatoes on the tacos. The past several times I’ve been to any of their stores, I only got 1 or 2 tiny pieces of tomatoes on each taco. I mean, why bother putting them on at all? The grandkids like the quesadillas. They are not to big for a kid to finish. My other complaint is that their parking lots are microscopic. Park elsewhere and walk in to their store if you go during rush.

Went in today about 11:45am, Sunday. I was greeted right away when I first walked in. First time here, so it took me a bit to make my decision and he was very patient with me. I was the only one in line at the time. The guy who took my order was very friendly and nice. Can’t say that much about the gal who was completing the orders. Not having a good day or not enjoying her work. Liked the fresh salsa bar but the food was nothing to write home about. Ordered 2 beef crispy tacos and a chicken quesadilla. I had 3 pieces of tomatoe, enough cheese and a couple pieces of lettuce with very greasy beef. My taco shell was soggy and falling apart halfway through. Not. For sure if the beef was seasoned or not. Quesadilla was ok. Sorry to say that we won’t be back.

They put old lettuce on all of our tacos, I mean really throw the old lettuce out and give fresh lettuce! Disgusting!

I heard a commercial or something somewhere about fajita tacos with avocado and gave in to temptation/curiosity in deciding to give this place another chance. Service was friendly but SLOW. With as long as it took to get my one fajita taco I would’ve expected it to be cooked, but peppers were raw, onion was raw, «steak» was more like cold beef jerky chunks than actual meat, avocado was practically non existent despite my specifically requesting it and being told it comes with it. But good job not covering my food in unwanted sour cream this time! I’m not a La Casita fan, but their steak and guacamole fajita burrito is preferable to Taco Bueno’s if that says anything.

Wow, these guys really suck. Their commercials make the taquotos look so good. What a massive disappointment all around. They even charge extra for the tiniest portions of guacamole and sour cream. Never ever again!

Food is pretty good, better than Taco Bell. However they frequently get my order wrong and it’s pretty simple, it literally just adds sour cream and my boyfriend just likes literally beans and the tortilla no cheese. I think it’s because they spend all their time pushing this or that promo or this meal over this or this dessert. They should focus a bit more on quality control. The food is always pretty good but if it’s daytime you’re guaranteed to spend 15 minutes minimum in line at the drive thru. Sometimes the employees are friendly and sometimes they’re pretty clipped and rushed verging on rude. Overall it’s definitely a good fast food place but it does have problems.

This was my first visit to Taco Bueno, and I’m quite dissatisfied. I bought the«Big Freak’n» Quesadilla and got it with some of their mild salsa. Also with some of their sweet tea. The good: The chicken in the quesadilla was very good. It was juicy, and seasoned very well. The tortilla was crispy, but was not special. The best part was the salsa, which was very tasty and better than any other fast food salsa. Their iced tea is also good, but not what your mom made on a summer day. The bad: The cheese is horrid. I don’t know what this cheese is made of, but it makes you sick to your stomach. There was a weird grit to it, like some mixing wasn’t done properly. I actually couldn’t finish the quesadilla because of it. Conclusion: If they could fix their cheese and make it taste good and proper I would come back, but I don’t believe Tack Bueno will receive my business after this.

They were not good at all. First the cheese was not melted on the breakfast food. And you will llneed a microscope to find the filling.13.89 for 3 items. I don’t want to pay that much for 3 tortilla shells. They have a pattio. But are not dog friendly. Most of all no one spoke English very well. They didn’t know the difference between sausage Or chorizo. They made the food then opened it dug through it and then wanted to serve it to us

My husband and I ate here earlier. The tacos were like eating a salt lick. I did enjoy the taquitos, probably because they were chicken. Customer service was awesome!

So much salt I couldn’t even taste any other flavor. Chicken was dry. Was that even chicken??? The rice was dry. I usually eat my way through a meal even if it’s bad because I hate wasting it, but this was already trash so I just put it all back where it belonged. I promise you the pictures and what you see on people’s plates look so much better than what you end up tasting. You have been warned. I’m never ever coming to this place again.

We went here for the first time to try a new place to eat, and it was not a good time. We noticed we where getting so much attitude from the lady taking our order and trying to rush us through the process. When we pulled up to the window the attitude continued to get worse. Even our 4 year old knew this lady was not being nice. The food was okay, my wife said the salsa was very tasty but the treatment we got will keep us from ever going here again.

Ok the only reason this one gets a 5 star for fast food is because it’s Taco Freaking BUENO! I grew up in the Oklahoma area and I’m sorry, but Bueno triumphs Bell along with any other taco chain in my opinion any day! The meat seasoning used is unique and doesn’t taste like a one dollar Mexican spice mix like Taco Bell! You gotta go for the beef baby! It’s the BOMB! Also, I love how they have always had a fresh salsa bar and their interiors are always nicer and more homely than Bell! Please open one in Denver SOON!!!

Delicious, fresh and simple. The taco was very tasty and the chicken quesadilla was perfect! Inside the restaurant was clean and service was fast. Will definitely be back.

First visit since they opened here. We’ve been to a ton of them in TX so we know where the bar is set. The service was quite friendly, the place seemed quite clean, and it’s always great to refill on good tex-mex fast food from those legendary Bueno fresh ingredients. They do need to work on a few things. 1) Service speed: things took just a hair too long to prepare, and there weren’t any other cars in line. 2) Construction: A few of our burritos/rollups were sloppily rolled and leaking filling when we removed them from the wrapper. 3) Construction again: The black bean burritos my wife and I got were both a bit threadbare and light. 4) Food maintenance: My 5-year old’s bowl of pintos and cheese were dry and crumbly and hard as a rock. Not okay. We had to stop at another restaurant to get him something else. We’ll be back to give them another chance, even with a few missteps this place usually beats the brakes off of Taco Bell, but this was NOT a promising start.

This was severely disappointing. After hearing amazing things about it, I have never been so disappointed in fast food. Not only did it take about 15 minutes to receive our food, but my chicken BOB was cold, hardly contained chicken, and had no flavor. As I made it further into the burrito, I was surprised to find some beef! Not quite what I expected. Overall, very disappointed with this visit.

To sum it up … No, no & no! Only seen this place driving by on Garden of the Gods Road. I had heard from a few people that it was good. I guess I didn’t realize it was something similar to a Taco Bell or Del Taco. Oops on my part. I had the Combo #2 — Chicken Fajitas with Chips and Cheese. The chicken was gross it reminds me of the pre cooked bagged chicken you buy in the grocery store. Their salsa was bland it wasn’t even spicy and seemed to be watered down. It took a good 15 minutes to get our food which would be expected at a restaurant, not a chain like this. The staff was friendly however I think they were way under staffed it seemed they were all running around like a chicken with their heads cut off. I’m writing this review about 30 minutes after eating and I have to say my stomach is not very happy. I always try to write positive reviews but in this case I just can’t.

First comment; Wow, I was going to try this place but I’ll pass… Sounds horrible. I hope they get their act together. Second comment; OK so I tried this place… it was pretty damn good. Service was great and food was delicious. Tasted fresh. So I’m changing my 1 to a 5.

I went in hoping this place could beat Del Taco and was severely disappointed. Taco Bell is utter garbage and so I’ve always wanted another option that wasn’t La Casita. This is not it. — Gas station cheese queso — Bagged chicken — Doughnut flatbread — Dry beans and rice Otherwise the atmosphere and price wasn’t bad. The staff was helpful and polite. Bathrooms and dining area was clean. I will, under no circumstance, return to this place again though due to the bad food. Del Taco wins the Mexican fast food battle, much to my dismay.

Sub par food. I waited 20+ minutes until I decided I needed to speak to someone about my order. The line forgot to do mine– unacceptable. The manager gave me a full refund and gift card. Not worth coming here. Go to taco bell instead. Good customer service though Diego. Good manager If the food was free I still wouldn’t eat it
