I think this is definitely a good taco stop they have a great selection of burritos and the rolled tacos are good too but a little on the pricey side.

Great food but barely possible service. Rude girl at the window. The guys are a little better, but sometimes don’t understand requests very well. Overall pod cheap Mexican food, just need to fix the service issues.

My husband and I were curious to see who has the better carne asada fries… Taco Star is barely on the list. The fries themselves are delicious… crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and have a good flavor. Everything else was underwhelming though. The meat was super salty, the guacamole was extremely smooth and runny, like it had been in a tube. There was also sour cream. No pico de gallo on the fries like other places. Pico de gallo would have been nice because it might have helped cut the saltiness of the fries and the meat. The salsas they gave us were thin and very mild with an OK flavor. Taco Star would probably make a great 2AM meal if you’re drunk, but if you’re actually looking for good carne asada fries, there are better places. On the bright side, the fresh tortillas were good. Service was quick.

Food’s good but the chick at the window was rude and unfriendly and probably still wants $ 15/hour

Delicious food, this place is always busy. When I don’t see a car in the drive thru I am surprised. Service is quick but not overly friendly.

Good food, filling and decent prices for large platters. Their breakfast burritos are pretty amazing, I can only eat half of one before I get full from it.

Look, it’s mexican food. I’m not sure what else to tell you.
Don’t expect smiling faces or even to be greeted as a person, but do expect hot, good food(definitely a level up from taco bell, despite previous reviews) that is available 24⁄7(the biggest reason why I visit). I used to tip but as a rule I don’t anymore(see previous: borderline rude service). Make sure to double-check that they have your order right before you get to the window. Edit: Even with my double-checking I’ve had several encounters with ‘what is this???’ — I’ve become resigned to eating whatever they want to give me.

I am sold on their Colorado burritos! They are large and filling. It has spiced meat, potatoes, peppers and onions to name a few of the ingredients. One burrito is good for two meals. I especially like the green sauce, but they also have red. YUMMY!

My husband recommended this place to me. He said the breakfast burritos and rolled tacos are good. So I got the rolled tacos with cheese and guacamole and a carne asada taco. We are from CA and love Mexican food and have been on the hunt for it since we moved here over a year ago. My items were good and I tasted my husband’s breakfast burrito and chips and they were good. So far, it’s the best taco shack I’ve found in the Springs so for that reason they get five stars.

Good Mexican fast food. The tacos are good with house fried shells but a little on the greasy side. The rolled tacos are killer, and their breakfast burritos are good too. I also like the carne asada burritos although it can be a little fatty at times. I also recommend the tortas.

The thing that stands out every time I have eaten here is borderline rude service. I guess I have a reasonable expectation for friendly and helpful service but that’s not what I get here. The food on the other hand is pretty decent and is pretty consistent with the other drive-through Mexican fast food places in Colorado Springs.

This is the worst place ever, they messed up our order for one thing so we call them back and ask them to fix our food and they agreed. We go back and they say«no, you didn’t call,» we decided well maybe we called the wrong one so we go to the taco star a little further down the road(clearly not the one we just went to). I pull up and they say«were sorry we haven’t had any calls tonight.» So at this point both my girlfriend and i are frustrated and try to call them back, no answer call again they answer and say«hello Dominos Pizza» then hung up. I will never eat at this establishment EVERAGAIN.

Best Mexican Fast Food Restaurant! Service excelent, fast, clean, great food quality, I don’t why people think Mexican food is Taco Bell like the guy who give the review before me. Taco Bell is American Food based on Mexican ingredients. I had the Nachos Supremes, Over the Top! 5-stars! I totally recommend it. Joshua

Taco Star is definitely not the best Mexican fast food I’ve ever eaten but it ain’t the worst either. Right on par with Taco Bell, but more pricey. $ 2.50 for a taco stuffed with shredded lettuce, a smattering of cheese and just a bit more meat. The service isn’t terrible but there isn’t much in the way of communication or «thank you’s» or «have a nice day’s».
