The Absolute WORST representation you could hire. If you are interested in speaking to a live person… not going to happen. If you are thinking you can leave a message and someone will return your call… not going to happen. If you think you can submit things to your attorney for the court to review (medical records)…not going to happen. maybe, if YOU remind THEM to scan the docs out. When it came to trial. we asked to meet with the attorney we would have assigned to us. never happened. Called 3 days before trial to get information– it’s like WE reminded them we had a trial in 3 days. Got assigned an attorney– begged for a call back. When she called back we were told she wouldnt be handling our case after all. They sent us an attorney that arrived 10 minutes before our appearance before the judge. How well do you think he did? We won the case because my fiancé just told his story to the judge himself. The attorney LaTour’s office sent didnt even remember his name. He said «tell me Mark… excuse me, my name is Tony… oh yes, of course…» and that’s how it went. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, REPRESENTATION.

I was going to call Bill LaTour because of his commercials. I badly need a SSI and employee civil lawyer. BOY, I’m glad I looked him up. His reviews are disgusting and most concerning. Thank you everyone who reviewed Bill and his office. He just LOST a perspective client.

First of all. I won my case the first time around because it was clearly easy to determine that I was disabled. I wasn’t going to write a review because all is said and done, but I just saw the commercial on tv and realized how much it is deceiving. Dr. Bill, comes on TV and said call me, I know what to do… I never once talked to him in the entire year it took to receive my decision. A woman came out to my house and in 30 minutes completed paperwork and said, we will be in touch soon. In the entire year, I never heard from them again. I received many mailings from the State of CA asking me to complete the paperwork. They also sent me letters to attend appts they set up for me. I attended all of those… Still no advice, direction or phone calls from Dr. Bill. Once I received my award, they took out the attorneys money and that was that…

I have a Her2+ advanced stage 3 breast cancer and was denied SSDI. I called and asked to speak to an attorney for consultation. The receptionist is rude and abrupt. She asked me a series of questions then she told me that their office cannot help me because I am already receiving SSI, I told her that I was calling about the SSDI denial, not the SSI. She said that they are the same then hang up on me. How do you trust a lawyer if their receptionist are like that?

Well he dropped me like a hot potato once the judge denied me, and they said in the beginning we will never drop you. They did drop me without due warning, with only 2 days to do anything (2012). So I decided I wasn’t going to be a victim, and I was going to have to fight for my life, because he certainly did not.

They never return phone calls, the assistant refuses to tell me about my case. It’s been 2 years and I’m still waiting on this hearing paperwork. Don’t bother, they don’t care.

Never a return phone call in over a year. Never did this lawyer discuss my case with me prior to the hearing. I don’t have a clue as to what was on the documents before the judge and I lost my case only to find out afterwards that the documents were filled with inaccurate information. This lawyers office sucks the life out of you with the additional stress of not knowing what in the world is going on. This place just needs to be shut down because people dealing with serious life altering issues need support not stupidity. By the way the receptionists who answer the phone are useless also. I think Unilocal needs to add a little axe symbol because I’d rather use that than a 1 star rating.

First Impresions are everything and the 800 phone number I called did not do good at all, I called in to seek help, but I received a non-​knowledgable front desk clerk who did not know anything, she gave me incorrect information.
I asked if they could file the appeal, she said I was past the 45 days mark, but I calculated the days and told her I have 52 – 47 days left I thought that’s why I’m paying you, I gave her a callback number but at this point I do not feel comfortable from the get go, after reading the reviews it seems like déjà vu all over again.
Ps. Here’s some advice, This is not a Walmart it’s a law office, hire employees who specialize in this type of field.

Please don’t make the same mistake I did. Find another attorney who is not on TV. This law firm is a joke. I filed Feb of this year and never heard from them once. At the initial consultation they never told me that it would take 2 years just to get a court date. I called everyday for two weeks leaving messages for my new case worker whom I still have NO idea who it is. After the two weeks I kinda had a melt down on the phone and told the receptionist that I’ve called everyday for two weeks and never received a return call. She actually got my case worker on the phone. She sounded so bothered with my questions. Please don’t let this so called Dr. Bill LaTour represent you. You will never see him or talk to him. I really don’t even know if he truly exists. The majority of people that have written on Unilocal I feel for you because I’m going through exactly the same thing. The two who wrote positive comments must work for his office because I don’t understand how they can receive excellent service. I just pray that the judge rewards me with SSD. Good luck to you all! Bill Latour it’s the worst lawyer in the whole planet he hires crappy assistance and call them case manager all they do is sign you up to apply for SSI and all the paperwork you fill it out yourself. Well, today is June 15,2015. Still no return call from Bill La tour’s Colton, Ca office. I wonder how long, before they decide to return the call?

I have read the other reviews and it doesn’t sound like the same attorney. I got good advice for my brother, submitted the paperwork as requested. I read everything and filled it out as requested. 1 consultation, 4 months to the day his case was approved.
I would recommend this attorney to anyone who knows how to read and fill out paperwork. Bill LaTour followed up personally and asked if everything went as expected, but as a satisfied client I wouldn’t normally write a review until I read a few other peoples’ experience I thought I would relay mine. Hats off to you Mr. LaTour.

We had some communication issues at the beginning but things have seemed to work themselves out. My hearing is soon and they seem to be taking things much more seriously.

I would love to increase my rating but as to date I have been having problems with phone calls being returned they always say at their earliest convenience. Nothing to say about my convenience it seems like the place is run buy a boat load of paralegals and then when the system gets heavier than they finally put it on to the lawyers. It’s like Larry Parker all over again I wish there was some truth in the advertising but to expect truth in advertising especially from a lawyer is crazy. Be very careful with these people you need to stay on top of them from the beginning and I will be updating this depending on whether I win or lose my case because whether I win or lose my case I believe directly depends on the paralegal or lack of paralegal help that I have been receiving.

I would never recommend this law office to anyone looking for an attorney. The ssdi process is hard enough, you don’t need an attorney’s office who don return calls, give you the run around, and who don’t seem to care about your case. I got approved at the hearing level but I still wouldn’t recommend bill latours office. We did all the paperwork, contacted my drs and they took a month to request my hearing. Now that I’m approved no one will return my call with an update. I have dealt with so many people there and know one seems to have a clue what’s going on with my case. Everyone there must be a supervisor! You will never get to speak with «dr bill» I’m not sure he even exsists! They are getting 6 grand of my money for doing hardly anything, what a joke!

Hooray, I was just approved for my Social Security benefits. It was a very long process, and very stressful. Fortunately, I had the Law office of Dr. Bill on my side. Kudos to Dr. Bill and his staff.

Do not hire this attorney this place is a rip off. They fill out the disability forms for you and then stop communicating with you. They are only interested in their fees. They keep calling the social security office for you to ask for the status of the case. When you call them they don’t return phone calls. They trick you in the commercials by saying that the attorney is a doctor. Maybe he is but you will not be dealing with him only his assistants.

I called several times as court date was going to be on 5÷6÷14 and I get the run around. Each time I have called in the past I was told a NEW case worker is handling my claim. Veronica and her manager Nichole will never return calls. I did not know who was going to be with me in court. On court date I met this lady who read my rights (5 minutes before my appt). She did not give me any guidance and I lost my case!!! She did not even open her mouth to represent me. I have not heard from them and NEVER got updates.
Please find another attorney, with Bill’s office you will do all the work and run around abound!

Why is it so hard to work with your staff?

My brother Scott Boyd and myself retained Bill LaTour’s office to help us with his claim for Social Security /​Disability.
For the last 2 to 3 weeks we have made several attempts to contact the office leaving several (up to 7) messages without ever receiving a return call.
He received his 2^nd denial and we had a deadline to schedule a court hearing. Not hearing from their office we spent a day at the social security office to schedule a court hearing on our own.
I called today (6÷6÷14) and I get the run around. Each time I have called in the past we are told a NEW case worker is handling our claim. But we never hear from them. NEVER got updates. Today I’m speaking to Sandra and she said she just took over Scott’s case and filed another appeal. When I corrected her, that it was not another appeal it was to see a judge she seemed clueless and said oh yeah I did that yesterday. Then I told her we did it a week ago. I wanted to speak to someone who knew more of what was going on and why it was so difficult to get a return phone call. I explained if we retained your office you people work for us and I want accountability.
She was transferring me to her supervisor and I get disconnected. She basically hung up on me. I call back two more times and I’m transferred to a voice mail first one that is full, 2^nd to another which I left a message.
Why is it so hard to work with your staff?
The commercials are misleading and a misrepresentation of what they claim they do. They never came to us and have not helped or worked with us at all.
This office is a scam!

This office is helping me now. I have had great service with them with quick responses and assistance to my questions and concerns. It is local and the receptionists are courteous and knowledgeable of my case and other community information. I would encourage their assistance.
