History

Established in 2008.

After multiple customer recommendations and requests, B.E.E. Maternal was born in 2009 from our flagship store; Bumble Boutique. Bumble Boutique was originally started out of our home on eBay. We started the business, in 2005, shortly after our daughter was born, and after discovering that great quality children’s clothing was hard to come by. We weren’t satisfied with the availability of what we needed and expected in the clothing and accessory choices available for our new baby. We set out on a mission to build a business that is locally owned and operated, and could offer what we were not able to find. After about 6 months, our business expanded to the web, after 1 and ½ years our online presence took over our home, and expanded to our first Brick & Mortar store in an old historic home. Customers were desperate for great maternity clothing, so in April 2009 — B.E.E. Maternal was born. Just because your shape is changing doesn’t mean your style has too!

Business Owner

I am a proud local Columbia Business Owner. I have lived in columbia for over 25 years. I have worked very hard to build my business, and I am proud of what I have accomplished so far. I only take partial credit for my success; because it is only with God’s help and the support of our Wonderful Customers that I have been able get to the place I am today. I am a practicing Cardiac Nurse Practitioner by trade. My love of my daughter, Emma Marie, and beautiful children’s clothing are what peaked my interest in the Retail side of things in 2005. I enjoy spending time with, and getting to know our customer’s — and I am very thankful to the delightful team members that have joined B.E.E. Maternal, and work very hard to make sure our customer’s have a great experience. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, working out at the Gym, or curling up to a good book.
