History

Established in 1976.

Bohemian started as a women’s clothing store which also featured American crafts. Furniture was added a few years after the move to Devine Street in 1978. Starting with dining tables, rugs and lighting, the furniture continued to grow as well as the space. Bruce S.

Business Owner

Originally from Iowa, Bruce attended graduate school at the University of South Carolina fine arts department. While in the ceramics program, he also taught. He has been living in Columbia since the mid ’70’s and has managed and owned Bohemian for almost 40 years. He has a gifted eye for art and design.
