History

Established in 1994.

Osama Yanis personally created the Coffee Zone menu in 1994 based on his Mediterranean and Middle Eastern heritage, a love of food and cooking by assimilating tastes from around the globe, and his years managing one of the most popular and eclectic coffee houses in the Haight/​Ashbury district of San Francisco. It was at that time The Coffee Zone introduced its famous house blend -«Rocket Fuel” — to Missouri, a deliciously potent brew which has since gathered a following of loyal Rocket Fuel drinkers from around the world! Both the The Coffee Zone’s espresso and coffee bar as well as its food menu feature ingredients of the highest quality. Food is made of the freshest ingredients, cooked by recipes, traditions, and standards that reflect Osama’s dedication to providing the best while still being extremely affordable. The Coffee Zone makes abundant use of olive oil, fresh vegetables, lemon, exotic spices and more to provide items that are not just delicious but healthy.

Osama has a special way of running his business. Customer service has always been a top priority of his, and since the beginning Osama made it a point to learn the names of his customers. Furthermore, it is not uncommon to see someone walk into The Coffee Zone and before they even make it through the door their regular drink is already on the counter! Over the years Osama bestowed these qualities in his staff, who as of today truly do a great job fulfilling The Coffee Zone’s mission of expertly prepared menu items and warm customer service. As far as Osama and his staff is concerned, when you enter The Coffee Zone you are not just called a friend, you are a friend. Through many happy and exciting years of traveling the world and the country, the family continues to enrich The Coffee Zone with exotic rugs, photos, lamps, art, antiques and more. In addition, the elaborate bar of rich dark wood was custom made by a dear friend (and his crew!) of The Coffee Zone.
