Very nice staff. No doubt about it. The food is junk and what I mean is that we ordered buffalo chicken dip and chicken nachos and they were both missing chicken. I don’t mean like oh it only had a little chicken and I’m a snob. I mean it had ZERO chicken. Kind of ridiculous. I was told that the kitchen was swamped. It’s nachos and dip… Not applied physics. We literally had 20 people having a blast and spending tons of money. They literally under poured and charged us for every little thing. That being said we pay our own way, but when you have 20 people ripping shots and chanting go royals and providing a great atmosphere you might want to take care of them. At the end of the day the staff is nice, but this place is not worth the money based on the 5 — 24 inch TVs that are located across 3 floors. You could pretty much say this place is like a sports bar without enough TVs. Imagine yourself sitting at the top row at a baseball game. That kind of viewing. Take it from me. Cool looking place, but find some place that cares about its patrons.

Party of 9, 4 dads 5MU students had lunch at Quintons. Food was mediocre. Service from kitchen was neglectful and extremely late. Food arrived sporadically for the 9 members over 1 hour and 15 minutes. When we asked for the manager, Doug to discuss the poor service and mixed up orders we were told he was too busy to talk to us. The waitress told us she was responsible for the bill if we did not pay. Left with that conundrum we paid the bill and approached the mgr, Doug to discuss the poor service from the kitchen. After discussing for 1 minute Doug turned around and went back into kitchen area refusing to discuss any further. We paid the bill in full and paid the tip(25%) and left feeling very angry. One of the students said they liked the food but would not come back because of the way e were treated after pointing out the poor kitchen service. We won’t be back

Service is horrible here. You seriously could wait 45 minutes to even get service. You have to go up to a server and get their attention

Ok. This is the fourth time I’ve been here in a 3 month time span and the ovens are still broken. Either the owner has a a serious gambling or cocaine problem or just doesn’t give a shit. Also when I have ordered a sandwich, it’s all bread. And the soups are no better than a Wendy’s buffet. This place is terrible. The wait staff is also terrible. I’ve been here over an hour and they’ve been to the table once for drink orders.

A friend and I went to Quinton’s for a quick lunch, which ended with me apologizing for returning to work late. The place had a few booths occupied when we came in, nothing too major(we left a more crowded place due to concerns with time). It took us a bit to get our menus, and then a while more to get our drink orders in. Our non-cherry sodas had a decidedly cherry taste when we finally got our drinks(my friend got 2 refills over the course of this lunch. The first refill actually tasted like the soda she ordered, but the second was back to cherry). In a pattern that will repeat again and again during this narrative, an uncomfortably long amount of time elapsed before our orders were taken. I wanted a potato loaded with sandwich toppings, but our server was taken aback by my ‘unusual’ request. She defused the situation by saying that they were out of potatoes. That has to be a lie, right? If one of their main menu features was out at the start of lunch time, there are worse problems than the novice server. A table of businessy people got their food as we were waiting for ours. This observation was troublesome because they were well situated at the table when we walked in nearly a half hour ago. We eventually got our food, which was good, but it loses a lot of luster when eaten at a rapid pace so we could get out of there. I hadn’t been in Quinton’s for several years before this experience. I’m writing this to remind me not to go back again.

We stopped in on a Saturday night after a home football game. It was around 9PM and the place was less than half full. We thought we were fortunate to sit on the roof deck. Here is what we got: 1. a waitress that is clueless on their beer(no idea on the difference between pilsner and lager). 2. a kitchen that has no pizza dough.(it’s 1⁄3 of their menu. How did they run out?) 3. a DJ that has a 2003 taste in music(and the skills to match). 4. An environment that without the above could be amazing. 5. some of the best pretzel ever(but without the advertised CCQ dip). They are so close to being awesome, but yet so far. They are so spot on average that I will look for the next great experience elsewhere, and that’s probably ok for both of us.

As a KU grad who is married to a Mizzou grad, it was time to take my first trip to Columbia. One of my favorite things about visiting college towns is that there are the same establishments in every town, but the locals think theirs is the only one. Hilarious. One case — Quinton’s. The Quinton’s in Lawrence is okay. It’s a bit small, get a bit claustrophobic, but aside from that is a typical bar. In that regard, I prefer Mizzou’s location(you will NEVER hear that again from me). It’s a lot bigger, a lot roomier, with better service. It has plenty of space to spread out, but also plenty of space to sit down. We only had drinks there, and the specials weren’t great, but the regular prices were not too bad. The beer selection is decent, and they have lots of delicious liquors too. Definitely a chill place to go on this Saturday evening, which was in summer so it was dead. Like any bar in a college town, I’d probably avoid it on weekends during the school year.

Being a University of Kansas Alum it was great to see a Lawrence owned business in Columbia! It’s great to know that the students at Mizzou can experience a taste of what it’s like to live in Lawrence Kansas and eat at Quintons(which has been a staple of downtown Lawrence for 20 years!). Once again great to see a KU bar in the midst of Tiger country!

Just found out that they don’t pay their employees minimum wage like the state requires them too. Door guys don’t make tips so why are they only getting paid $ 3.63 an hour… what is this some third world country. And they wonder why the staff isn’t extra excited to be there. Plus they refuse to hire any male servers. The only time I’d ever go back is to maybe give them a copy of the Missouri labor laws.

I’ve eaten here twice now and the first time was great. The second time I was not impressed as much. The food is okay and beverages are good as well. The one amazing thing about Quintons is the open patio on the 2nd floor. I LOVE it. It’s an okay place to eat but it’s also a very cool place to hang out on the patio!

Sooo, if for some reason I(God forbid) end up homeless someday, I know where I’m going for a lunch. For seven bucks, I got a big sandwich and soup in a breadbowl, along with some really kick ass service in this cute downtown Columbia spot! I was driving through Columbia making my way back to St. Louis from the lake so I met my friend for lunch before she heads to Jeff City to take the dreaded bar exam. She suggested Quinton’s for a lunch spot and I didn’t know one way or another, but I’m sure glad she did!(Side note– how cute is Columbia’s downtown? Parking is a mess but there are so many cool businesses sandwiched in there!) First thoughts walking in: Wow, I bet this place is a reeeeeally fun bar at night. It’s huge and my friend took me to see the crazy three outdoor levels that she claims are packed in the evening! It was nice to have lunch in a big spot that where the AC was cranking. For lunch I ordered the soup/sandwich special and had the«Angel» sandwich… shaved turkey breast, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, fresh alfafa sprouts and house-made money mustard on rye. It was SO good and I almost regret only getting half! Although my baked potato soup was also just as heavenly. Only critique I have is that the bread bowl was pretty lame… Just white bread and pretty flaky. I love a good chunk of sourdough, it’s just so cripsy on the outside! The day got even better when I walked outside and saw a Kaldi’s where I could get a decent caffeine buzz for the ride home. I love this spot!

This is my favorite bar in Columbia. They have a great atmosphere and some pretty good drink specials too. It’s one of the few bars in Columbia that I’m not embarrassed to be in as a 25 year old. The main bar is where it’s at. They(usually) play pretty decent music which is dictated by a Juke Box, they have great beer and alcohol selections, and they have Photo Hunt games and darts for entertainment. This is a fun place to hang out in Columbia without worrying about stupid 19 year olds bumping into you or having to yell over music to talk to you friends. The new second floor and 3 story patio/roof top bar were excellent additions. If you go to the very top, there’s actually a great view of Columbia. But honestly, I’m happiest posting up in a booth in the original section of the bar. Quinton’s also a great place to eat. It has served me an my hangovers very well on for lunch on Saturdays, but it’s also a great place to go to grab dinner and stick around for drinks. The food is not like most bar food. It’s sandwiches/wraps, soups, salads, potatoes, and awesome appetizers. I highly recommend the Spinach Artichoke Dip(best I’ve ever had) or the Loaded Quesadilla which can really be eaten as a meal.

I stopped by Quinton’s the other day for a quick lunch with a friend. Normally Quinton’s is known as the hot-spot for a good Friday night out, but it being such a nice day, I decided to stop by and try their lunch items. The weather was nice, so we decided to take a seat on their massive 3 story patio. No wait, which was nice, and the server was timely in both bringing us menus and drinks. The menu consisted of various sandwiches and other deli-like items(soups, wraps, ect.) nothing too extravagant but for a deli it was fine. I decided on their chili cheese wrap: standard bean-less chili, crushed Fritos, and their own version of queso dip(CCQ), the sandwich was sub-par, but I was hungry and for under 7 bucks the sandwich was a good size. My friend got a turkey sandwich which came on thick Texas toast bread and actual chunks of turkey, which was cool. Overall I would recommend Quinton’s to anyone who is looking for a quick cheap lunch. Hit up the patio on a nice day for bonus points.

Not a huge fan of Quinton’s as a late night bar but I like it quite a bit as a lunch spot. The sandwiches are all fine, but nothing special. The chili on the other hand is easily the best in Columbia and one of my favorites anywhere.

Possibly my favorite bar in Como. The bad beer night(PBR, Olympia, Stag) was a must. I haven’t been since the completion of the upstairs patio. This will have to wait for an update.

Wait, Quinton’s has food… and it’s decent… who knew? I went for lunch one day and was impressed by their reuben, but my expectations going in were way low. Quinton’s is a decently fun bar at night, however sometimes it gets overly packed and can take seemingly forever to get a drink. The crowd skews toward undergrads and bros are a’plenty, which can be annoying. Can’t beat the upstairs patio, though.

I went ‘upstairs’ to begin and to end the night. I had a grilled peanut butter and jelly on rye that wasn’t too bad. The view from the rooftop is nice except when you’re staring into the evening sun the whole time. Once it gets to be night time, it will cost you $ 3 cover and $ 5 dollars if you want to go to Tonic as well…

It’s cheap, I’ll give it that. But it’s very fugly fratty. We’re talking like, obnoxious 19 year old girls with caked makeup and mini dresses, no underwear. Full of douchebags/baggettes/generally uninteresting people. You best be moving on.

I’ve never eaten anything from here before and am solely rating it for the nightlife. Quinton’s is better than your typical college bar and what distinguishes them from the rest of the bars in CoMO(Columbia, MO) is their outdoor patio. Sure, other bars have outdoor patios but not quite like this place. There are actually several levels here! Just when you think you’ve gotten upstairs, there’s like three more levels on their patio equipped with a full bar outside. On some nights you can go upstairs for free, but for the most part it’s going to cost you $ 3.00 to go upstairs. The downstairs gets pretty packed during the late nights. There are lots of tables and booths, but when we’re here, we’re upstairs! This is not an upscale bar, nor is it a hole in the wall either… I’d say it’s a marriage between the two with reasonable drink prices.
