History
Established in 1993.
In 1993 John Sabine purchased Columbia’s downtown music store, Magee’s Music, from Charles Magee.
The original business was a small storefront, specializing in musical instruments and suppiles, and sound system sales, service and repair. Car audio sales, service and installation was added, and the name changed again, this time to S & S Audio and Hi-Fi Cruisin’.
In 2001 the bulging little store at 311 Second street made a big move almost directly across the street to the newly vacated Western Auto building, a landmark business for nearly 65 years.
Several coats of purple paint later, S & S Audio & Security and Hi-Fi Cruisin’ continues to expand after adding Commercial & Residential Security, Band instrument sales, service, and repair, and more.
