Staybridge Suites Columbia-Hwy 63 & I-70

This is my fifth stay in this hotel. My lodging ranges between 3 to 9 nights at a time, so I’ve spent a lot of time in this hotel, all within the span of almost three months. I like the place so much that my next weeks planned for work here in CoMo have already been secured with a place to stay at, and I’m sticking with this hotel. Staff are attentive and the place is clean. I don’t eat at the breakfasts or evening socials because of the hours I work, but I’ve seen how warm and well attended they are as I make my way out of the hotel to work or back in after work.
The rooms are clean, comfortable and stacked with kitchen equipment if there are kitchenettes in them. I always get these types of rooms.
I’m happy with the service here. I’ll continue coming back for as long as I work here in CoMo.

First time staying at a Staybridge and if they are all like this one in Columbia, I’m going to become a loyal customer. The front desk was super friendly and then I was really knocked out by the size of the room. Great bed and large selection of tv channels. Everything was first class there and the location was super easy just off the interstate. I have no idea what the other reviewers who said things weren’t totally clean. I thought it was spotless!

I had a great experience at this hotel. I had to wait a bit to check in because a guest had a lot of requests, but I was impressed after I reached the desk.
The room was clean for the most part. As others have mentioned, look under the bed. My dog found a kalamata olive almost immediately. When I peeked under the bed, I found that it needed vacuumed, for sure. The jetted tub was a nice feature, and it was something I happily utilized in the morning. The kitchenette wasn’t something we needed or used during our short stay, but we found it thoroughly stocked with dishes and tupperware. The room was quiet, which meant after a night out, we came home to a happy dog. The breakfast was pretty good, as far as hotel breakfasts go, waffles, bacon, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit. The morning desk worker handled my concerns quickly and was extremely courteous. My only other concern, beyond the under-​the-​bed situation, is that the grounds may need inspected occasionally. On his morning potty break, my dog found (and, to my horror, ate) something (a bird, possibly) that had been dead a while. My fiancé had discovered other dead animals when he had taken the dog out earlier. No dog owner wants to walk the hotel grounds like they would a mine field.
I would definitely come back for the rooms and the dog-​friendly atmosphere. I just hope someone finally cleans under the bed!

I had an excellent stay here while waiting for my lease to start at another place in Columbia. The people are so friendly. They really try to make your stay as great as possible. The place is overall very clean. However, the dishes in my room were all dirt and the air conditioning is extremely powerful. «Low Cool,» will have your body in a state of frostbite within 5 minutes. But if you put it on fan only it gets too hot.
Another problem I had was the lack of housekeeping. I stayed here for two weeks and never got my room/​sheets clean or a fresh set of towels. It was a little frustrating. That being said, I had an overall amazing stay here. They do a good job.

The entire room was damp. Even the tile floor in the bathroom. The drain in the bathroom sink was clogged,

Stayed here while waiting for my apt to be ready in Columbia after moving from NYC. Very nice extended stay hotel with fantastic staff.
Nice gym and indoor pool with spa jacuzzi. Love the hot breakfast and dinners on Tue-​Thurs (just wish it was all week days!)
Definitely will stay there again!

I have stayed in over 200 hotel rooms in 14 years, and this is my favorite. Firstly, when I arrived to check in, the front desk associate was very professional, friendly, and helpful. When I walked into our room, my jaw dropped. I couldn’t believe we had a gas fireplace that was beautiful and a separate bedroom. My husband and I are extremely picky about hotel beds. Neither one of us have ever been in one that blew our mind. now, I won’t say this is the most amazing mattress of ever slept on, but it is damn sure the most amazing mattress I’ve ever slept on in a hotel. The general manager of this location, April, is remarkable. She goes above and beyond for her customers and it makes me want to go out of my way just to stay here.

Maybe this used to be a grody motel, but it’s really nice now. Sure, the lobby carpet isn’t complete, and the second floor was basically a pile of carpet and workers, but the place was great. The lobby and dining area are modern and nicely lit. There is a free hot breakfast — eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, fruit, etc. The desk staff couldn’t have been nicer. And the room a king suite — was a freaking steal! Huge, spotless, chuck full o’ amenities, and DEAD QUIET. Faced the back of the building/​trees. We slept. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Children’s Hospital and some really nice neighborhoods are a few blocks away. There’s a grocery store a few steps from the place.
Oh! And the entire hotel is nonsmoking! Yeah!

I see all the terrible reviews, but we had a really good experience on our trip through the state on the way out to the east coast.
Room was nice, clean, and the bed was far enough away from the door that you couldn’t hear everything that went on during the night from the neighbors. We had a great nights sleep.
Breakfast was good and check in/​out was fast and easy. Would stay here again.

We arrived at the hotel and the woman at the front desk was very friendly. She gave us welcome waters and we were able to spin the wheel for a «prize». We went up to our room and noticed that there were stains on the floor, hair on the pillow and whoever was in there last did not flush. Needless to say, we switched rooms. The next room was better, but still not very clean. The furnishings and rugs are old and stained. We came home from work and our room stunk of cigarette smoke, which we determined was coming through the vent in the bathroom. We were very unsatisfied.
Aside from all of the negatives I mentioned, the girl who does breakfast and dinner was awesome and the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful.

Why do I feel like I am in a miniature Candlewood suites??? Same has to be asked about the old food and water bottle under my bed. Uh, no I will never stay here again, hope the worst is behind me here!

Booked a room in advance here for October 6. When I arrived the lady informed me that my room had been downgraded. So I asked the lady at the desk if the charges were going to be adjusted since they were giving me a cheaper room. She said no. They were charging me the same price. Huh? Apparently StayBridge has a policy that if a guest decides they want to stay longer they will move the person that booked that room to another room. Even if that room is a cheaper one they still charge you the same price. Really? What kind of a policy is that? Sounds a bit like intentionally ripping people off to me. They tried to blame it on Expedia but obviously Staybridge has chosen to have a business relationship with them so it ultimately falls on them if a mistake was made and they should have compensated me for it by at least charging me a lower price for a lesser room. Which, by the way, there was no «mistake». I booked my room well in advance, and by the lady’s own admission, the guest in the room I was supposed to be in decided to stay longer than they had booked for. That’s the kind of treatment Staybridge gave me for $ 230.00 a night. Anyway, once I got to my room I was even more disappointed. After numerous tries, the free wifi was unattainable from my room. I could log in to their network but beyond that I got nothing. Besides that, the couch in the room had some disgusting stains on it that were of a questionable nature if you get my drift. I would highly encourage anyone to look up Staybridge on Wikipedia, click on the link to their parent company, take note of all the hotel chains they own, and avoid booking with them if being guaranteed to get what you paid for is important to you at all. I’ll never stay at any hotel they own ever again under any circumstances.
