Our Story– «About Playing In The Dirt»

Garry and Dianne (Hill) Stuckmeyer were married in 1985. They were originally from Missouri and moved to Waterloo, Illinois in 1987. Garry is the fifth generation vegetable farmer in his family. In the years prior to 1991, Stuckmeyer’s sold wholesale only. In 1992, Dianne started selling tomatoes at the Pevely Flea Market on weekends. Not only was it a good chance to see familiar faces, it was a great way to teach our kids how to make change! In 1996, Stuckmeyer’s Plants & Produce opened their store between Columbia and Waterloo.

In addition to our store, Garry continues to sell wholesale in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. We still have our stand at the Pevely Flea Market-(Pevely, MO) on weekends and we also have a stand at the Monroe County Farmers Market on Thursdays and Saturdays. Together we are living our dream, carrying on our Family Tradition. Thanks for all of your understanding and support, that keeps us in our garden!
