Window World of Columbia

I’m not putting my personal opinion in here, just events that occurred and how window world treated me.
On the first day of installation, workers piled out of a work vehicle reeking like marijuana. All of my fine jewelry was stolen during the exact same time that these installers were inside of my house removing old windows and replacing new ones. When I spoke to the owner about the marijuana and the theft, she said it sounded «fishy» and it must be coincidence! Coincidence that I was burglarized with no forced entry? She also said she has told the guys «til I’m blue in the face» that they can’t smoke marijuana on the job. The crew was unable to finish the job in one day, so Window World was supposed to send a new crew (my husband and I adamantly objected to sending the same crew back to our house after my jewelry disappeared). My husband took the morning off work and waited for the new crew… No one showed up. We spoke with the owner on the phone and her speech was slurred, unintelligible and repetitive… we eventually had to hang up.
It took almost 2 weeks for Window World to send someone out to finish the job. The original crew removed more Windows than they were able to replace in the same day, so our house was exposed around the Windows during this delay. Our window openings were exposed for 2 weeks! One morning I was on a ladder in work clothes duct tapping garbage bags to the side of my house since rain was coming.
Second installer showed up 3 hrs late and couldn’t finish that day.
Third attempt was another no show. Now remember, we take time off work to sit at the house waiting for these people to show up.
On the final and fourth attempt to complete the job, the window they installed was a broken an I functional window so we had to schedule a 5^th visit.
Since then, the Police Department called and said they had a positive match on fingerprints from the burglary. That means that one of their installers had a criminal record and suddenly the «coincidence» that my jewelry was stolen at the exact same time that window world was installing my windows… It isn’t so «fishy».
So… Installation crew showing up reeking of marijuana, the owner calling me with slurred incomprehensible speech, my jewelry being stolen, a job that took over 6 weeks (and counting!)… Would I ever recommend Window World? Not on your life. I would have chosen Sears.
