We tried and tried to locate a dependable, newer (10 years old), nice-​looking car, but after shopping in Grove City and through private owners, we weren’t finding anything that looked good AND had a $ 5000 or less price sticker.
We pulled up to Destiny’s on High Street and immediately saw a couple nice-​looking cars with price stickers in the 4k’s and 6k’s, so we pulled in.
A young guy named Dusty came out immediately and helped us locate 2 cars that fit us well, and we test drove them, ending up picking one of them.
Dusty was very accommodating, out-​going, and chatty. Very likable guy, but don’t be put off by his youthfulness. He might be 19, but has a passion for sales and made sure that we got the car we wanted or have us part ways on a good note.
We drove the car home, and there was an over-​heating issue. We brought it back and they had it fixed in hours (a sensor was bad) for no cost. We’re very happy with our car purchase, and saw it was lower-​priced than its BB value.
I would give this car dealership a 5-​star rating, but something bothered my wife and me. They ran our credit. We were already pre-​approved by our bank for the purchase, so there was no need for them to run our credit through multiple banks to see if they could «give us a better rate,» as our bank-​approved rate already raised eyebrows. Now, our credit rating was decreased, and we keep getting calls and letters from various banks. Good thing we’re not making another big dollar purchase, as our credit rating has been lowered unnecessarily.
Other than this, the complete process was a breeze. Ask for Dusty.
