The selection is very hit or miss, but that’s what you get with consignment. If more people brought in awesome clothes, there would be more stuff to choose from. I absolutely hate the local designer clothes. It looks like she blindly sewed together scraps of fabric and lace. Just super horrible. What I do love is that they carry bracelets for fat wrists. I am a customer for life if only for the bracelets.

I really rather like this small little shop. The women I’ve met who work here — owner included — are all very nice and welcoming. They answer questions quickly and without any attitude or pretense. I have found multiple real gems in this shop from stores and designers I’ve heard of and know make good quality products. They feature a local designer — Red Panty Designs — that I just love. I’ve been told she uses vintage fabrics and clothing and deconstructs them and rebuilds new and interesting original designs. I own one of her pieces and love it. They feature some other local designers for jewelry and accessories. I think the main draw-back of this place is what Lisa S. mentioned: the selection can be hit or miss and often the items I find that are more what I’m looking for are from places like Old Navy or Lane Bryant and not all that much cheaper than they are new at the store.

Most consignment and second hand clothing shops around Columbus offer up a pitiful plus sized section. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve found a real gem from places like Rag-o-Rama. You would think that Go Figure, a plus size consignment shop, would fill a much needed vacuum in Columbus. Unfortunately, the selection I’ve encountered at Go Figure is really hit or miss. I was hoping for high end brand names, but a large percentage of jeans that I have found at Go Figure come from Old Navy. Now, let me fill you in on the secrets of sizing. Most middle-of-the-road clothing stores, such as Old Navy, scale up their patterns from a size 2. That means a size 16 at Old Navy is just scaled up, with the curves and lines being in the same place as it would for a size 2. For curvy girls, this means an improper fitting jean. While they fit just fine in the waist, they are too bulky in the thigh and butt — too much extra fabric. So when I shop at a plus size consignment shop, I’m hoping to find higher end brands that don’t scale up their patterns. The break down for Go Figure is as such: 40% Old Navy 35% Baggy Grandma Designs 20% Lane Bryant 5% Something Totally Awesome

Beautiful shop in the Short North serving plus size full figured women. Shop owner, Sherri Brunner, gets it and will help you look great and make money!
