Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus – Easton Area

Terrible experience. I arrived late (8pm), checked in and went to my room only to find out it was a smoking room. I reserved non-​smoking and was not informed of the change when I checked in. Room smelled horrible! When I called the front desk they said they were completely booked and did not have another room available. I asked the front desk if I would be given a refund if I could find another hotel with a non-​smoking room. The woman said she would have to check with her manager who would be right back. I called back after 15 minutes. Manager still wasn’t back. I called back another 30 minutes later and the manager picked up. I asked him why he didn’t call me back with an answer and he just said «umm, I guess we can give you a refund». By this time I am too tired to deal with it. Just going to spend the night in this disgusting room. Never staying here again. Not because of the room, because of the poor service and follow up from the staff. Very disappointed.

Stayed here on our way to Washington DC and things were fine so we decided to book here for the way home. Got booked in a smoking room. Why in god’s name does any decent hotel allow smoking anymore??? Called the desk, they used the excuse that we booked through Travelocity which really??? Who doesn’t use a booking site nowadays? Then made a half hearted offer to spray the room. Thanks for nothing. Left to get a couple candles from the Walmart next door, and actually am beginning to think I may be lucky we got a room at all. Three different people are saying they have waited hours for their reserved rooms, I heard the desk people yelling at each other «a queen! ANY queen!!» Yeesh, nothing like grace under pressure. IF you decide to book here, and given that they are the cheapest in Columbus you probably will, do yourself a favor and call or book through their site directly. Me? I am going to sleep, and go home to rewash all off the clothes I made sure I freshly laundered before we left DC.

Clean, easy to get to, comfy beds, and a functioning exercise room with up to date cardio equipment.

I stayed at this hotel for a week in August 2014. This hotel is in a great location — near the interstate and across the street from the Easton Town Center. The hotel has a very nice gym that overlooks the indoor pool. The gym has four treadmills, two ellipticals, a stationary bike, and a weight bench with weights up to 50lbs. My hotel room did not have a mini fridge or a microwave (boooo!), but the hotel rooms were otherwise well-​stocked and maintained. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly, polite, and professional. I would definitely stay here again if I find myself back in the Columbus area.

I choose The Hampton Inn at Easton due its proximity to Easton Town Center. Our nights stay was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The only downside was one of the other reason I chose Hampton Inn was the complimentary breakfast or should I say the lack of one. We went down about 9 am and they were out of many things, and it seemed that they were not interested in quickly refilling the items. We ended up going to the McDonalds in the Walmart down the street which was no real treat. The Hampton’s breakfast stop serving at 10. We did stay the Saturday night of the time change to Daylight savings time so not sure if this affected how breakfast was handled and it seemed the hotel was full but that should not be an excuse.

The Hampton Inn has quickly become my family’s go-​to location in Columbus. We have family who live in town, but when we are trying to not add more chaos to their household, the hotel has become our home away from home. This is at least my fourth stay at the hotel and each time I have been met with the same great service,
While my most recent stay is one in which there are not many other individuals staying here, many of the visits here have occurred when the hotel has been full and it has been a great experience each time.
The hotel has the same great things that others have mentioned:
–large rooms
–two queen size beds in the rooms, rather than full size beds
–clean rooms
–a positive and welcoming staff
–shuttle to Easton for shopping
–quick and easy access to many restaurants, stores, and the interstate
On this visit, the front desk attendant asked us about upgrading to a larger size room for the extent of our stay. Although we declined, the friendly atmosphere was what was needed after a nine hour drive.
Breakfast is the standard Hampton Inn breakfast, but enough to eat before going on with the rest of my day.
I’ll definitely book here again and thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

I’ve only stayed at a couple Hampton Inns, but they seem to be pretty consistent. Nice service, clean hotel, large rooms. I think perhaps this hotel was having an off weekend but there were a couple things that were «off»:
— Hot tub was out of order
— Ice machine on our floor was out of order
— Housekeeping left a bottle of cleaner and the toilet seat up in our room
Additionally, the lighting in the room was terrible. I had to sit on a towel on the floor in front of the window in order to do my makeup. There was also no safe.
With just a little more care and a lot more light, this would have been 4 stars.
Not a bad place to stay at all — just a couple minor things.

One of the best Hampton Inn’s I have ever stayed in. My room was nice and roomy, very clean. When I checked in my bathroom light was burned out and within 10 minutes of telling the front desk manager, my light was replaced. A great breakfast selection, and a nice workout facility. My first choice when visiting Columbus.

This hotel has let the Hilton Honors Program down. They need to get on board with other Hilton Honors hotels. I stay at numerous hotels under the Hilton Honors and this hotel does not have a refridge or microwave in the regular rooms. I went to the front desk and asked if they had a refridge for my room and they said yes they did for $ 10.00 more per day. I told the people behind the front desk, all the other hotels did and I was disappointed that this is a Hilton Honors hotel and they don’t come standard in the rooms. They told me I could bring my items down to the front desk and they would store it for me, and I told them it is a convenience thing-​having it in my rooms. Not cool if you ask me. I will never book with a Hampton Inn again, for this reason. Also, I am a non smoker and this hotel offers smoking rooms and I can smell the smoke from time to time in my room, YUK!!! I give this place a reluctant 4 stars only because the staff were rudely apathetic. We had asked for adjacent rooms and they said it wouldn’t be a problem, but when we arrived, it was. Normally not a big deal but a «sorry» or brief explanation would have been nice. Otherwise, new, clean and comfy. Big bathroom. Duvet cover washed between visits. Variety of pillows to choose from. We didn’t take advantage, but there is a shuttle to Easton mall which is probably what you’ll be staying at this hotel for anyway. It’s just a couple minutes drive away (minus the time it will take you to park). Good location.

Yeah I know it’s a Hampton, but it’s new and clean with a staff that actually cares!

Close to Easton + Nice Rooms + Free Hot Breakfast + Points = good value for me.

Quality Hampton Inn. In a neighborhood essentially devoid of what most would consider 4 or 5 star hotels the hampton is an affordable option with clean comfortable rooms, a warm breakfast in the morning, and guest gym membership for a full gym down the street. I stay here a lot for business travel, and have never been disappointed. They also have a pool, a restaurant within walking distance, and a wal mart around the corner.

I stay in a LOT of Hampton Inns. This is the nicest one I’ve ever stayed in. Modern, clean, spacious, the facility does everything right. You can tell that whomever put this one up, really thought about the use of space and styling. Some Hamptons suffer from the fact that they were purchased properties that are constrained by the physical space. This one appears to have been built from the ground up, and it shows.
