History

Established in 2000.

Imports Plus Automotive started here in Grandview Ohio in Nov of 2000. I’ve been a «car guy» all my life and after a few years away from the automotive industry discovered what a bad experience it was to get my car worked on.

I wanted to change that if I could! I understand that getting your car worked on sucks! its inconvenient, expensive, and breakdowns always happen at the worst time. Who want to go to a shop and deal with some guy with an attitude?

Imports Plus will do everything possible to make a bad situation not quite as bad. We wont sell you anything you don’t need. We’ll show you what you need and explain it to you in terms you can understand. Our goal is to build a relationship with our customers so you return when you need us, not soak you for all we can get right now. I’m not looking for an extra few bucks right now… I want a customer for life!

The shop and owner are great. I originally took my car another shop that specialized in Audi;s, but they couldn’t find out the issue with my car, and were charging me way to much for each visit. After being fed up with them, I decided to take it to Imports Plus and see if they could do better. They did an amazing job and fixed the problem at a very low cost. The owner is a great guy and seems to genuinely care about his customers and love what he does. I highly recommend you give this shop a try.

I thought my car needed new mufler and exhust system. Brad and his team were able to save the working parts and fabricated the rest saving me half of what I was expecting to pay. I trust these guys and it is great that they are close to home.
They have moved though and now are off Dublin Rd and Grandview Ave.

I called and spoke to Brad about getting my oil changed. He encouraged me to make an appointment and I did. The day of my appointment, I arrived and Brad was no where to be found. Which, hey, I usually wouldn’t care about a stranger’s schedule but apparently no one else could help me except Brad. The only person that was there was a Russian (maybe) mechanic that spoke broken english. I was so upset. I waited and waited and Brad did not come back (not while I was there, at least). I was highly disappointed by the service at Imports. I don’t think I’ll be wasting my time again.

I can’t say enough! I just moved here and didn’t know a mechanic to go to for my Mercedes. After looking at the website and calling to make an appointment, I’m glad i did! Brad (The Owner) is a down to earth and trust worthy mechanic. He told me what I did need, and didn’t need! (Didn’t try to over sell me! Whahooo!) I would suggest anyone needing car work, just call at least and let him talk to you about the problem. He made Japanese (Car talk) plain English for me to understand!

I had to update it to 5 stars instead of 4. My car is doing great and they don’t add unreasonable costs for no reason like the dealer service shop. The guys are straight forward with you and the person that works on your car is the person that talks to you on the phone. That’s worth more so much more than talking to a middle man that has no idea what the heck happened (a.k.a. dealer shops). Their location is central, the staff is direct and they are great with people. They also specialize in car service and not selling you a car (unlike the dealer), so they’ll tell you what is wrong and not suggest a new car.

I didn’t even have to clean the EGR, I used the product Brad suggested in my gas tank and viola, engine light went off. He said it may take up to 6 months by just using the product, but it only took me 1 month. Love it!
