I can’t believe I’m dying for their ice-cream while I was trembling in snow cold wind. Yes that’s how good they are!

Love this place. So much flavor in each spoonful. There is always a line filled with locals and tourists, so you know it’s good. Local ingredients and unique combinations make this ice cream a must try. Thanks Jeni’s!

Jeni’s was close to the hotel and open at the right moment! We had a unique combination of flavors both in bowls and in cones. I am willing to splurge for local, tasty ice cream because it supports the economy in several ways: farmer, producer, customer service! However, the salted peanut-butter with chocolate flakes provided us with an even stronger reason to splurge. Ridiculously good.

First time in Columbus and I tripped and fell flat on my face for this place. The flavors are truly unique. The story, told via paper napkin, of this establishment is truly amazing and inspiring. The term«you go girl» really describes the go get it attitude of the proprietor. Staff recommended the candied ginger paired with the lemon. I wish I tried their signature vanilla. Always next time. Staff is über friendly and didn’t judge when I went taste test happy.

Visiting Columbus for pleasure and was told Jeni’s was a must. It was well worth the trip! Service was phenomenal and they let me tasted various flavored before choosing my final dish. Very rich ice cream but perfect for an occasional indulgence!

It’s hard to live in Cincinnati where we have Graeter’s ice-cream and not think that you have the best ice-cream in the world. I love the stuff! However, I think we have some pretty stiff competition from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams! My daughter, who went to Ohio State, introducedme to this most amazing place. The flavors have this creamy freshness with no artificial colors/flavors or stabilizers. Jeni’s uses milk from cows that graze on small family farms within a couple hundred miles away! The décor is adorable with lights made from milk bottles and a water dispenser made from a metal milk can. However, the thing that really takes it home for me is the creativity shown in the flavors served! We tried Sweet Corn Spoon Bread, Wildberry Lavender, Brambleberry Crisp and Black Currant Frozen Yogurt! They were all extraordinary! Next time, we have our eyes on Brown Butter Almond Brittle, Sweet Potato Pecan Praline, Churro plus sauces like Extra Bitter Fudge, Honey Butterscotch, Salty Caramel and Roasted Strawberry. Their imagination didn’t stop there — who could ever dream of an orchid vanilla ice-cream sandwich. Don’t they sound yummy? I don’t think I could ever go to Columbus without detouring to one of their establishments! The only thing better than two scoops of their ice-cream would be three scoops!!!

I love this Jeni’s Ice Cream location in the North Market! All of the staff are so friendly. I remember having a short conversation with a person that worked at this location, and I found out that he was moving to California to help manage the Jeni’s that will be opening there! That definitely excited me, since I’m originally from California :) My go to is a small Wildberry Lavendar & Sweet Cream in a cup! When picking ice cream flavors, I would be wary when workers say that the flavor your deciding on «works with every flavor available»… no that’s not true! Go with your instincts!

We couldn’t visit Columbus without stopping at Jeni’s, the famous Midwest/Southeast ice cream chain that got its start here(this is the original location, in fact). I thought it was a bit overhyped but very solid, tasty ice cream(and in the interests of full disclosure, it was about 40 degrees and pouring rain and we had to sit outside because we had our dog w/us; I probably would have enjoyed it more if my teeth hadn’t been chattering while I ate it). They have some unusual flavors but they aren’t too weird to be tasty. I had brown butter almond brittle and churro. The ice cream has a good, creamy consistency. A little less than $ 5 for the smallest size, in which you get two decent-sized scoops of up to two flavors with a free waffle wedge. They are located in the North Market indoor food hall, which is a must-visit for anyone who is into food.

Jeni’s seems to be very consistent across their different locations(and in different cities as well). I’m very glad to have been able to visit their original one; the same variety of flavors and enthusiasm of the staff greeted me here as in prior visits. They definitely do not mind you sampling as many flavors as you want, and they encourage you to do so while explaining what each flavor entails in terms of ingredients and taste. For myself, I could see why the brown butter almond brittle is one of their signatures(along with wildberry lavender). It was just like eating actual almond brittle, but appropriately creamy and not overly sweet either. The other flavors were just as good; the double toasted coconut really stood out as well.

I love Jeni’s. Brown butter almond brittle is my Favorite and should be anyone’s favorite. I decided to try the gooey butter this time which is BBAB ice cream with caramel and butterscotch syrup, plus whipped cream and a cherry… sooo insanely good, I highly recommend this.

DELICIOUS! Got to try all the flavors, and ended up with the small(two half scoops) — one of the brown butter almond brittle, and one milkiest milk chocolate. SO. GOOD. Totally worth breaking my diet for this. :)

Really delicious ice cream! I had wild berry lavender and brown butter almond brittle and both tasted delicious. It’s a little expensive though because the scoops were small.

Some of the best ice cream in America. Some places make these cool flavors but cannot follow through with great taste and Jeni’s does that. Prices are a bit high($ 4.65) for one scoop) but it was delicious. The flavors change but the Wildberry Lavendar was great as was almond brittle and milkiest chocolate. Some of the best ice cream I have had in awhile.

On my bucket list for quite some time, a visit to Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams in North Market was at the top of my list of things to do on my recent trip to Columbus. And it did not disappoint. The Jeni’s ice cream counter was my last stop on my visit to North Market — I wanted to save the best for last. There wasn’t a long line although the place was very popular, since there were so many friendly faces behind the counter. I tried the Intelligentsia black cat espresso flavor and was floored by how perfect it was. It was by far the best coffee flavored ice cream I have ever had. Nonetheless, I still kept trying flavors, and they were all great. I ended up getting a scoop of the espresso flavor and a scoop of the mango lassi frozen yogurt — it tasted exactly like the mango lassis I’ve had to drink in India. It didn’t taste like mango juice, mango sorbet, or just mango. It had the distinct tangy flavor of lassi and would be perfect for anyone wanting a fruity, tangy flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. I only wish I lived closer to Jeni’s so that I could try all of their other flavors and eat more of the espresso ice cream, but I will be back!

Jeez, another place I go often but haven’t reviewed. We stop in most times that we go to the NM. Free samples, interesting flavors, all the usual Jeni’s stuff. Yesterday I went for some pints. They ain’t cheap, but it’s good stuff. There was no line, service was great, and I was in and out(with one sample– it’s too darn cold for more.) Do yourself a favor and check it out. I often take out-of-towners to the North Market anyway, and this is a must-stop on that tour.

I don’t really need to write thsi review, but… Jeni’s is awesome. If you have never tried it, quit reading this review and go try it right away. I took visiting family from out of town in January when it was below 20 degrees and they thought I was crazy… they proceeded to sample almost every flavor and they loved it. So yeah, like everyone said, its good. That being said, don’t buy the pints. Just get the real stuff. $ 11 for a pint a Kroger is too expensive even for how great this stuff is.

Jeni’s is known for their Salty Caramel– but it didn’t rock my boat. The Wildberry Lavendar & Intelligentsia Black Cat Espresso, on the other hand, is delicious and exploding in flavor. It is rich & creamy– but not the type to make you thirsty(if you get what I mean).

I had to make sure to stop here while I was in Columbus. I had the brumbleberry crisp and their new 7 layer bar with whipped cream and almonds. Let me just say I wish that there was one closer to me so that I could have it again. The brumbleberry is one of their signature items and it was very good, it had a little bit of a tart flavor from the berries, but mixed with the ice cream it was still sweet and awesome. The 7 layer bar was perfect! I swear it tasted just like a 7 layer bar cookie, only better… And colder!

Still as delicious as always and as polite as can be. Unfortunately for me, a new found allergy really limited me to what I could actually eat. I thank the guy that waited on me for being so patient. He took the time to tell me what the ingredients in every flavor until we reached one that I could actually partake in. I really, really thank him for going the extra mile to ensure I could still grab me some of the best ice cream I could have.

I was looking for sweets in my local family market and stumbled across the most expensive pints of ice cream($ 12.99) that I have ever seen. Curious and with a twenty spot in my pocket I decided to head down the road. Wow. My initial taste experience was with the brown butter almond brittle. I have since tried the brambleberry crisp and the goat cheese and red cherries. Jeni’s is the richest, creamiest, most complex ice cream that I have ever had. The price is absolutely reasonable when you savor the layers of quality, and it remarkably holds up to the travel it takes to find its way in to my dreams. The brown butter tasted like the richest candy confection you have ever came across in every velvety bite, and the almond brittle was soft even in the cool cool ice cream and can only be chalked up to magic. The brambleberry was like the best pie ala mode captured in a tiny bucket. The goat cheese offering was a flavor explosion. First savory, then sweet, and the finish of red cherries were vivrant and tart. I will continue to add notches until I have experienced them all. Good things are always good. Ice Cream makes me smile.
