As Josh and Matthew have said, this is a great example of a classic barbershop. Jerry gives a great haircut and offers some quality banter. While he is wicked cheap, he also gives the best haircuts that I have ever had. The warm lather shave on the back of the neck is absolutely the best.
Over the last few months, Jerry has been out, but there is a younger gentleman who has been filling in for him. All of the comments above apply to him as well. I wish Jerry all the best and hope he is back soon, but if not, the shop is in good hands.

Great old-​school barber shop.
Exactly the atmosphere you expect, and Jerry gives a rock-​solid haircut. Mind you, I said «haircut» — this isn’t a salon or a place to get a «hairstyle.»
Walk over or park around the corner on Smith Pl.
A haircut and quick beard trim cost me $ 10 in February ’10.

Jerry is simply the best barber i’ve ever had. I wouldn’t think of going to anybody else in Columbus. He does such a nice job of cutting one’s hair to look good with the head shape and does it at such a reasonable price that i can’t say enough good things. And he’s pleasant to talk to and speaks from a perspective i find helpful and fortifying. Bravo to Jerry!
